Lunch for one $31.37 Could have had a much nicer lunch for over $30. I won't be back here.

I love thai food. Never found any I disliked. So this is a Reno first. See photos Very skimpy on protein. If you like unseasoned white noodles this place ilis for you.

#7 Steak, flank, tendon, tripe pho soup

12.14.23: Met Ma for lunch at her favorite pho spot as I was craving some hot soup in the cold weather. I ordered pho with steak, flank, tendon, and tripe, 1 spring roll, and a BBQ pork bahn mi sandwich. I had traditional hot jasmine tea as my beverage of choice. The broth of the pho is what makes the soup as well as the fresh fixings and toppings that accompany it. The bean sprouts are a fav and give the soup that good crunch. Normally an order of spring rolls comes with 2 rolls. I like how Viet Pho gives the option of ordering just 1 roll. The rice paper was fresh and not dry or hard nor was the shrimp fishy, so that's a plus. The peanut sauce was plentiful and yummy and like how they top it with chopped peanuts for added crunch. My only complaint is the sauce was cold. I could have asked to have it warmed up but I didn't, so that's my fault. The BBQ pork bahn mi sandwich was sooo good! My favorite of course is the homemade fresh bread. Richard, the owner, spent time and lived in Italy when he was younger and learned to make bread. His bread is amazing and yummy. The pork was tender and the carrot and pickled onion give it it's nice crunch. The fresh jalapeno slices give it that heat to complete the sandwich. There's so much on the menu that anyone can find something they'll like and if you're adventurous, try something new. You never know you might find a new favorite dish!

I chose to eat here for the convenience of being close to the airport. I had a flight to catch, so I'm grateful for the quick service and quiet ambiance. I ordered the Vietnamese pork sandwich bahn mi. It was good but a definitely different flavor than I am used to. I have had these sandwiches for years in many locations and they were pretty consistent with the taste and texture of the bread but this was not what I have eaten before. It taste good but not what I have tasted before. So expect it not to have a typical texture of bread and taste. The fried pork egg rolls were amazing just so full of flavor. The best part was the authentic Vietnamese drip coffee. When I tell you it was dripping right in front of me it's because it was. I love the taste so good. It is a strong coffee not for the weak. Thank you for the good experience. The waitress was short with her interactions but attentive. I hope that makes sense.

The restaurant is very old. Lack of light. The staff's attitude is very bad. I went with 10 people but they made the wrong dish for 7 people. Bought 2 drinks but charged for 3. Never come back.

It is Saturday evening, and I decided to walk from Peppermill Casino to Viet Pho. The location is easy to find. It's on E. Moana Ln. The server is very friendly. Her name is Melissa. I ordered the beef pho, and I was really surprised by the flavors (no artificial flavoring ---all natural bone broth), the tenderness of the meat and the correct temperature. There is a place in Cupertino, which is considered as an upscale Pho place (expensive and limited choices there) and it cannot even come close to the flavors of Viet Pho. And the prices very competitive here. Also, the place is very clean and has a good ambiance. Come see it for yourself.

We hadn't been here before and there was a last minute change of plans so we went on the spur of the moment. We love Vietnamese but we also can be a little picky when it comes to eating it because my wife's cultural heritage is Vietnamese. I ordered the steak and balls pho, and she ordered the banh mi and we shared some egg rolls. We shared. My pho was very good. Little bubbles of fat pooling on the top of the darker than expected broth. The veg was all fresh and a good amount was given for each dish. While I enjoyed my part of the banh mi I look forward to getting back and trying a basic version of the banh mi that has all of the real flavors I love about Banh Mi.

Do they serve Imperial rolls? The difference of Imperial rolls & egg rolls is the wrapper. Imperial rolls are wrapped in rice flour wrappers. Egg rolls are wrapped in wheat flour wrappers. Both are deep fried. I'm looking for Imperial rolls!!

the difference is the Chinese style fried roll with the wheat paper wrap, Eggroll is the Vietnamese cha gio wrapped with a rice paper, however, wrapping with the rice paper is harder, restaurants now generally use the wheat paper to wrap, so the… Read more

I think the Phò at 999 Pho is excellent. The broth is rich and complex, the cuts of meat we had were excellent quality, thinly sliced and fresh. The basil, bean sprouts and jalapeños were fresh and plentiful. The noodles were standard for Phò. The prices were reasonable, the service was attentive. The atmosphere was average. This is not fancy dining, but it is not expected to be. My wife and I will definitely eat here every time we visit Reno.

I'm giving a 4/10 for the pho combo, the broth wasn't flavorful and it was cloudy but the noodles and meats were fine. I don't really like adding hosin sauce to my broth but I had too. The banh xeo I'm giving a 6/10 because the it wasn't crispy but the meats was good and it was large. It came with lettuce and herbs. Shrimp and lobster sauce was good that was 8/10. The menu is humongous. Dim sum, Chinese, sushi, Vietnamese, with lots of choices from every part of the menu. I started with the crab Rangoon's, and they were very good. The filling was a little bit sweet, and a little bit savory, and the shell was well fried, crispy, and not oily at all. They were offering a BOGO on the combination plate, and so that's what I went for. I had the garlic chicken, and the chicken with seasonal. Veggies. On both dishes, the chicken was moist and tender. The veggies were done well. Just the right consistency, not mushy at all. The taste was great. The only thing I could say, was, the garlic chicken was a bit spicy. About medium on what I like for spice, you could definitely see the red pepper flakes on that food. Unfortunately, nowhere in the menu did it mention the spicy part of it. I did like it, and the spice was within what I like, but I think the next time I would order something else. The fried rice was very well done with a good flavor also. It was just the rice. It had no egg or veggies in it. I had enough for two meals on the first combo, and the second one went into my portable cooler, and is going home to Sacramento with me. For all I got, the price was extremely reasonable, even if I would've gotten only one combination. Thank you very much.
