43. Bun Bo Nuong Xa/Flame Broiled Beef w/Lemon Grass (O)
Paige L.

Hubby and I stopped by here for a late lunch. We've ordered from here on door dash before but this was our first time dining in. The food was okay. They love their lettuce because the spring rolls and the bún were PACKED with it. The service was just okay. This place is huge and very cute inside. It was very dead in there though- we were the only people there. Their menu is huge which is nice, they have a little bit of everything for everyone. Took pictures of the whole to go menu as well!

Coming from the SF Bay area, I'm always looking for a good bowl of Pho. Found Got Pho in Reno, I had to give it a try. I started with the imperial rolls and I was a little disappointed. The rolls were way overcooked and there wasn't enough "substance" in the filling. However, the flavor was good. For the main, I ordered the grilled beef and shrimp on a bed of vermicelli. This dish was very good. The beef was marinaded and grilled to perfection. The shrimps were also very good. I also had to try the beef stew, the soup was flavorful. But, the broth wasn't as rich as other Vietnamese restaurants in the Bay area. The dining room was quite large, tables and chairs were very neat and clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. If you're in the Reno area and want to try some authentic Vietnamese flavor, give Got Pho a try.

Food was excellent. I ordered the combination pho and was genuinely impressed by the broth. Normally I load my pho up with sriracha and hoisin, but this broth was so flavorful on its own that it did not need anything extra. Everything tasted well balanced and comforting. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The staff made sure everything came out right and checked in at the perfect times. Ambiance was clean, relaxed, and welcoming. It felt like a great spot to sit down and enjoy a warm bowl of pho without feeling rushed. Overall, a great experience from start to finish and easily deserving of five stars.

Happy New Year 2026, got pho! Delicious as always. We ordered the rare steak pho and the pork spring rolls, per usual everything was excellent. The flavors were rich and fresh, and the food was prepared with care. The customer service was attentive and friendly Ellen is so cool!, Got Pho's location has a nice ambiance that is comfortable and inviting. Another great experience. Got Pho? Yes, I do!

Delivery order, nailed it. Everything arrived perfectly, and the broth? Next-level. Easily one of the best I've had -- rich, flavorful, and seriously comforting. The meat was tender and packed with flavor. Overall: a really delicious pho! Can't wait to work my way through their extensive menu.

I took the family here a couple of days ago and had a very good visit! We ordered spring rolls, pho and flamed broil pork bbq. I wish they had a small bowl option because their normal version was a lot. One bowl of pho can definitely be shared! The service was good and the restaurant is great for a date night or a big group. Overall great experience!

We came here with our neighbors a few days ago and, while our meals were ok, we were not "wowed" in any way. We love phở so my husband ordered the veggie one. There were no other phở options for vegetarians or pescatarians (the broths were all meat-based), so I decided to try a "traditional Vietnamese charbroiled dish" - the Bun Tom Nuong/Charbroiled Shrimp. Both dishes, to us, were on the bland side. However, our server was very patient and kind.

FIRST! Marianne is soooo sweet!! And the fresh squeezed lemonade she made was AMAZING. One of my fave lemonades. I needed a little help with the menu, but she helped me find a dish similar to a sample I tried at a Yelp event (and the reason I drove 30 minutes here for lunch!) I ordered bun tomThit Nuong flame broiled shrimp and pork on a bed of rice (vermicelli) noodles (gluten free). I liked my dish a lot. But there were too many pork pieces covered in fat and felt uncooked. Loss of a star. Everything else was great and I had enough for the next day, but a lot of the meat I missed out on because of the undercooked/fatty parts that I just can't handle myself, maybe no big deal to others. Otherwise looking forward to returning and bringing hubs, lots on the menu I think he'd enjoy as well. Nice ring red booths inside - this is an actual sit down service restaurant, which I didn't know I thought it was a counter service place! Thank you!

Ordered online, my daughter's birthday but she's got Covid so knew she'd love some soup! Easy pickup, hot and freshly made. My daughter was thrilled to have this comforting chicken noodle Pho. Enough for several servings to get her through this nasty sickness!

Always great food! Without a doubt, Got Pho? Is definitely the best Vietnamese and Chinese food in the city. We are now regulars every time we go to Reno. The brazed pork Bah Mi sandwich is absolutely the best I've ever had! What I also really like is Got Pho? serves lunch 7 days a week. The portions are huge and comes with 2 potstickers and a cup of soup. I've never been able to finish my lunch and so I have enough for a 2nd meal. Highly recommended.

They did it again! Great food and great service. Plenty of seating for lunch and dinner, do yourself a favor and give this place a try! This time I ordered ma Po tofu and the flame broiled pork, it was super delicious! The tofu had great flavor and the pork also had a great flavor and has a smoky taste! Place is always clean as usual. The service here is super friendly and sw

Got Phở?, a nice neighborhood spot, located on Mae Anne Avenue is in a convenient location with plenty of parking nearby, so it's an easy choice for a quick lunch or a casual sit-down meal. Inside, the restaurant has a comfortable, no-frills atmosphere. It's clean, well lit, and has a relaxed vibe that makes it a nice place to enjoy a warm bowl of pho without feeling rushed. We ordered the rare steak and beef balls pho and it was exactly what I hoped for. The broth was rich but not too heavy, the beef was tender, and the flavors blended beautifully. We also tried the flame broiled pork, which had a smoky, char-grilled taste that paired perfectly with the pho. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were generous enough to leave us full and happy. Service was fast and friendly. Our food came out hot and ready in just a few minutes, and the staff made us feel welcome the entire time. It's the kind of spot where you can count on both great food and a pleasant experience every time you go. Will definitely return.

Looking for a delicious banh mi? You must stop by to try this mouthwatering sandwich. Fresh jalapeño, crisp veggies, and crunchy bread. It's not a heavy meal and leaves you feeling satisfied. I will definitely be back to try some other bites from their menu

The portions were generous with plenty of leftovers to pack up in takeout boxes for enjoying for another day. My favorite three were the ahi tuna, the black cod and the brilliant asian/french mash up of red Bean Creme Brulee. I also need to mention, I loved the lamb tenderloin. I am not a big lamb fan, but this New Zealand lamb was tender and non-gamey. The owners did an outstanding job of timing the dishes and engaging with our group while also taking care of other diners including non event patrons getting getting take-out and inhouse menu dining. The space is very small, but even with and almost full house, it didn't feel cramped. Even though Kwok's is right across the street from where I live, this restaurant would be at the top of my list of "I would drive out of my way to eat here"

To start, you can't go wrong with the enthusiastic welcome we always receive. Then quickly seated and wine poured. The 2026 CNY menu was fabulous, with some great surprises. The ahi tartare portion anywhere else would have been a shareable appetizer. But each person was served a large portion of delicious fresh ahi. Mmmm this course and a glass of wine could be dinner alone any other evening. The soft creamy rich egg custard was hidden under a thick seafood gravy. I really enjoyed this unique dish. The miso black cod is always flaky and delicious. And the crab fried rice it's nestled on also never disappoints. The rich New Zealand stir fried lamb and shiitake mushrooms over pea shoots was a fabulous hearty dish on this chilly March evening. The braised short ribs were so tender no knife was needed, they flaked apart with the fork. And the e mein noodles were perfectly al dente. The dinner wrapped up with a crème brûlée that only Kwok's could pull off - red bean. Creamy smooth. Not overwhelming. The perfect burnt sugar layer on top. The regular menu is just as delicious. Small inside seating area, so recommend always make a reservation. In the summer there's a fabulous patio area out front. Limited street parking.

In case you're not aware, though the name of this restaurant references a specific city in northern China and the menu has dishes from across the country, their specialty is the spicy and numbing cuisine of the Sichuan region. If you've never had this before, when you see dishes listed as spicy, they may be very different from what you're thinking. It's certainly can be a polarizing experience, with many loving this flavor and many not into it at all, but the broad menu makes this a great call for everyone. Now I love dining with others who are familiar because it lets you explore the menu through their eyes and enjoy selections made by others with taste diverse from yours. My friend picked several dishes I would've never noticed or ordered blindly this time, and I'm so happy about that. We enjoyed the cold Woodear or black fungus in chili oil, classic snow pea tips with garlic, as well as the quintessential Sichuan cumin lamb, but the other three dishes we had were 100% new to me. Those included Sichuan snails (unshelled in an oily spicy stir fry), scallops with garlic and vermicelli, and crispy spicy intestines. The snails were a win. These are small and somewhat chewy morsels that get wok fried with fried chili, chili oil, peppers and onions. The texture is similar to sautéed calamari, but a bit firmer, and the sauce coats everything with that signature numbing heat. The scallops were the big miss. This dish typically comes in the half shell with fresh scallops, but here they're using a lower quality scallop (likely frozen) and a lot of pre-minced garlic (like you'd find in a jar). It looks impressive but the scallops had absolutely not flavor and the texture was rubbery too. Skip this one for sure. The intestines were the surprise. I've had fried intestines and they crunch like a chip and have no distinct flavor that lets you know what you're eating. These were sliced on the bias and wok tossed until super crispy on the outside with a delicately chewy interior. The sauce really amplified the flavor and this all made for a great bite within the whole meal. All in all, this is a home run. If you haven't been, I urge you to check it out, as it's one of the best authentic Chinese restaurants around.

Tucked away in the back of an unassuming shopping mall is Chinese cuisine well worth making a trip for. I was immediately greeted when I entered, and started with some hot tea. I ended up ordering Garlic Cucumbers and Dry Stir Fried Pork Intestines. The cucumbers were light and refreshing with a punch of garlic. The intestines came out crispy and piled high with red fried chilis and szechuan peppercorns. I am a huge spice nut and this absolutely hit the spot! (If you have a low spice tolerance you may want to ask for less spicy as the server did not ask how spicy I wanted it). The cucumbers were the perfect accompaniment to balance the heat and numbing from the chilis. When I first looked at the menu, I thought the prices were a bit high. After seeing the enormous portion sizes, it all made perfect sense. There was easily enough for 2 full meals for me (245lb, 6ft3in man with an appetite). The portions are clearly designed to be shared. On that point they also feature traditional Chinese style banquet seating with the lazy suzan in the middle for family style eating. All told I was extremely impressed with the food quality, service, portion sizes and ambiance. I will absolutely be adding Shanghai Bistro to my regular rotation!

We decided to make it our next date night spot. We went on a Friday around 5:30 and it wasn't very crowded yet. They asked if we preferred a table or a booth, and we went with a booth near the front. The restaurant itself is really nice, but I'll say the booth felt a little tight. Next time, we'll probably go with a table for a bit more space. The service was top notch. The staff was incredibly attentive, and our drinks were constantly refilled. Our glasses were never empty, which always stands out. About 15 minutes after we sat down, the place filled up fast. It seemed like most people coming in had reservations, so I'd definitely recommend making one if you're planning to go after 6 pm. We decided on the Shanghai Dinner. I ordered the sweet and sour pork, and my wife got the sweet and sour chicken. I was tempted by the cashew chicken and kung pao chicken, but we'll save those for next time. The appetizers were amazing. The meal comes with spring rolls, crab rangoon, paper wrapped chicken, and honey glazed BBQ spareribs. Everything was delicious. My wife loved the paper wrapped chicken, and for me, the ribs were the standout. They were tender with just the right hint of sweetness. Honestly, I could've eaten a full plate of just those and been happy. For sides, I had the egg flower soup, which was really flavorful, and my wife had the salad. She could not stop talking about how good the dressing was. Both the sweet and sour pork and chicken were great. The sauce had that perfect tangy, slightly sweet flavor. That said, next time we probably won't order the same sauce for both dishes. I think pairing something like sweet and sour with kung pao would give a better balance with a little heat to cut through the sweetness. Overall, this place is a winner. Great food, solid portions, and the price is very reasonable at about $33 per person for the Shanghai Dinner. My wife enjoyed everything so much that after seeing another table order the duck, she's already talking about coming back to try it.
