Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake

Cute little restaurant with lots of flavor and exceptional service by Cameron. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations on what to order. The banh mi sandwich with pork as the protein, was very good with very fresh ingredients. The sip rice bowl with beef was very tasty. The desserts were an excellent touch to end the meal.

Sip of Saigon is such a cute restaurant. Limited seating both inside and outside. They offer Vietnamese dishes, beverages, and desserts. We've tried a handful of dishes. The ones that stand out for us are the vermicelli bowls and beef stew soup. Staff are friendly. It's mainly counter-service but they deliver food to your table.

Food here is fresh. I ordered the Vietnamese bun bowl with shrimp to go. Came home and it was good. The only thing I would say is there is no authentic char on the shrimp and they don't give you a lot of fish sauce. The service was very friendly and the place was nice and clean upon arrival.

In the area and I wanted Asian food and soup. We tried their Rare beef Pho and Vietnamese Beef Stew with a baguette instead of noodles. A small Vietnamese menu plus coffee, desserts and Boba. I'd say kind of pricey but I enjoyed my Pho broth, meat a little tougher than I'm use to. They also have desserts which look delicious; maybe next time we can try. Service needs a little work but overall ok.

Came in for a coffee and left with a full meal and a dessert. The Ube coffee and the Vietnamese coffee or made just right. Not too sweet for the Ube coffee and a beautiful color purple. The Vietnamese coffee is very delicious also! Had the usual marinated pork bahn mi and the bread is so fresh and the sandwich was packed with all the goods. Very flavorful, too! The chocolate mousse? Cake was divine! It wasn't overly sweet and got the spot with its delicious layers! The staff is so kind and friendly and had quick service. The establishment is clean and we enjoyed the outdoor patio dining!

While in Sparks, we decided to stop by Sip of Saigon. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The ambiance is clean, modern, and cozy, with fewer than a dozen tables, giving it a café-like vibe. Service is straightforward, order at the counter, take a number, and your food is brought to the table. The process was fast and efficient. We tried the Combination Pho and Bahn Mi, both of which were flavorful and satisfying. The Pho had a rich, well-seasoned broth, and the Bahn Mi was crunchy and delicious. However, I did notice that the Pho is priced about 20% higher than other places like Pho 999 in Reno, which offers similar quality at a lower cost. Additionally, the portion sizes were smaller than what you'd typically find at other Pho spots. Overall, it's a good spot for a quick, tasty meal, but be aware of the slightly higher prices."

New menu as of 2/2/26 with added items! Looks like menu has been expanded to have more matcha drink options. I ordered the pink petal matcha. Rose and lavender notes are subtle and nicely goes with the matcha. I thought it would be too over powering in floral scents and flavors but it is not. A nice twist to ordinary matcha. Lavender foam makes the drink creamy.

I absolutely love the Vietnamese classic drip coffee and pork egg rolls here. (Only place I've ever had them at...) Both are delicious and the customer service is great. Every one is very kind and attentive. The restaurant is clean with plenty of seating space and there is parking right out front. I come here alone and its a nice, calm environment that is comfortable.

Came in for quick bite of bhan mi, and pandan dreams. Love the crunch of the Sandwhich, it's good. The service was quick.

I tried their Combination Pho, which comes with rare beef, brisket, and meatballs. The broth flavor leans toward the sweeter side compared to other places I've been to. There aren't many pho places around this area, so if you're craving a bowl of pho, this place will do the trick. However, the price is a bit high. On the plus side, they offer baked goods and pastries. I tried the triple chocolate mousse cake, which was really delicious!

I've been coming here for about two years now. For a little bit of a background, I've never liked spring rolls and definitely not the peanut sauce. Until I came here. They have probably some of the best spring rolls and the best peanut sauce I've ever had. The best one is the special bbq pork with that crunch inside, so good. My favorite coffee place by far I would come here all the time if I lived a lot closer! Vietnamese coffee hits different. I've recently been able to try their pho as I was craving it and in the area. The first sip I took didn't satisfy my craving. It was missing that regular pho flavor I was looking for but it wasn't bad. I was hungry so I ate it all. It was good but I don't think it's the best pho in Reno. But it does satisfy a craving of a warm broth soup. Every time that I've come the service has been great so I have no idea what these other reviews are complaining about. It's normally a younger person taking your order at the front. They have always been kind and helpful to me. The tiramisu cake was bomb! The plating was silly cute to me. I liked that it was in a square box lol Cute little Vietnamese shop over all!

stopped by a second time the shrimp spring rolls were delicious, the peanut sauce was nice and thick, consistency was great which held onto the spring roll and was not runny beef stew bo kho was good, with the baguette, flavorful, but it was a little bit runny, needs a thicker consistency the pandan drink is to die for, super tasty, wish they have this all seasons, defintely a recommended drink the combination pho was well seasoned, the broth was fatty and tasty, delicious pho, wish it had more veggies to pair with

Sip Fried Rice-pork belly

Honest take out review: Customization beyond the menu straight to your home. 5/5 review A year later, sip of Saigon has done it again earning a 5 star! (I've been here before then, but didn't think I needed to review again...) From the minute you walk up, you're met with a warm welcome and smile, you are offered a menu incase others are ordering ahead of you, and are just reviewing a simple menu that isn't confusing, options are limited which is nice, and what you get is a quality dish! What they do, they do it right! Today I decided to try the sip fried rice as I've had the bahn mi, and other menu items but I'll leave the rest below: -Sip fried rice: 5/5 As you'll see in the picture below, customization beyond the menu is real as you're met by a rice that isn't just thrown together by the chef in the back. It's separated to keep it's authenticity, I'm a "throw it all together" kind of guy, but I know that some people prefer less veggies, or more protein in their dish and this delivers beyond that expectation. You get a fried rice that's crispy and fresh, flavored with just enough msg to get your taste buds tingling. You complement the bite with a savory pork belly that just melts away and is partnered with an acidity from the pickled veggies that are micro sized in nature to complement and not over bear the taste. Add the greens on the side and you have a perfectly balanced meal that provides richness to freshness. You really can't go wrong with this if you're wanting a delicious bite! I would have loved to sit down and dine at this location as it's always lively and welcoming, but dealing with a cold, you don't want to get others sick so take out it is! Definitely a sleeper alert with sip of Saigon, there's a reason as to why they are above a 4 star and have remained that way since my first review of the business.

The Chicken was tender and tasty, but I wasn't too fond of the Parmesan Crusted Garlic Sourdough Bread. The salad was really good though and all ingredients tasted really fresh. Overall, I think the quality is quite good. The Customer Service was another story. The employees in the food section were unfriendly and almost on the verge of being rude. I have always had great Customer Service when I order coffee (which is a different section), so I was very surprised. Not sure if I will be back for food, but will always come back for coffee.

Traditional Vietnamese or Chinese cuisine IMO, is difficult to find here compared to the Bay Area. But that's not the fault of Reno, it's just the number of asian restaurants are so much fewer here and all the produce is literally imported. My goto when checking out a chinese restaurant is their chow fun noodles. Why? The noodles are perishable and if frozen the texture becomes a bit mushy, not firm. Was the noodle fresh, yes but with the cavet that it was probably imported day or two earlier. There are no local noodle makers in Reno. The dish was prepared in traditionally with a slight twist. Garlic, lots of minced garlic. Not complaining, as this is unusual for chow fun noodles to get amost a fourth of a garlic bulb worth. I ordered the mixed protein version with chicken, pork, and beef. There was a slight sweetness to the dish, which I am atributing it to sugar. Which again is unusual but a welcome addition like the garlic. My last visit was when some relatives visted from the Bay Area and we had lunch. I didn't want to take a chance on the food that they may not be used to, so we choose SK Noodle. Eveyone had their vietnamese Pho and grilled dishes and so far SK did dissapoint any of the Northern CA food snobs! I will be back.
