When I gave them a call, I was told that I would have to do a sleep study before they could be of service to me. I was not interested in going to a sleep study center to do a sleep study so I put it on the back burner. Last year, my PCP strongly suggested that I do a sleep study because my sleep apnea was not getting any better. I learned that after Covid, a sleep study could be done from the comfort of my own home. Unfortunately, the sleep study outfit that I chose turned out to be a bit unsatisfactory but in the end, Monitor Medical was very useful in getting the approval for my new cpap. Last week, I went to Monitor Medical here in Austin and Tobie Galban, CMA was great with helping me setup my new cpap and now I can join Larry's choir and sing only songs of praises for Monitor Medical.

I went in with a severe sore throat, swelling so bad my breathing was getting hard. I could hardly swallow. I was seen quickly, given an IV steroid, pain meds and saline. They even gave me a warm heated blanket while I was given my IV. They gave me a full panel test and take home results. Dr Montadher was so kind and caring. You could tell he truly cared about you and it's something I've rarely experienced in my life. I wish I could remember the nurses name that helped me, she was an absolute angel. I came across Dr. Freeland's name and looked up and read that he went to medical school in the same small town that I went to college, Kirksville, Missouri. If you chose to be a D.O. instead of an M.D., then Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine was a good choice. While I lived in Kirksville I got to know a couple of men who were surgery professors. They were outstanding men of character and counted it an honor to be known by them. So, when I read that this Dr. Freeland was in Lakeway I was looking forward to meeting him and having him be my new Primary Care Physician. My first appointment with Dr. Freeland was as if they had shredded any and all information about me. After my heart surgery the Mayo Clinic sent all my records to Bee Cave Family Practice. Mayo is one of top two Heart Hospitals in the world (you will receive the finest care there.). So, when I went for my initial visit and then filling out all the however many pages just to have my blood drawn for a INR value they were not at all prepared for a 2 minute blood draw and I could be on my way. My appointment finished at around 11:50 and was asked to come back after lunch at 1:00 to take blood sample, I left and came back later and finally got it drawn. The next time I came back I found the front office team to be disorganized. I was most frustrated that they did not call me (even though they said they would) to let me know the INR results. As I stated previously, I was really looking forward to having this doctor, but with several issues for me after only two visits I needed to find someone else. It has been a year since I was at Bee Cave Family Practice. I've written just a couple of times about less than acceptable services, unfortunately, this is one.

Amidst a global pandemic, I needed some tests for allergies and the like. It's important. But hearing about the waiting rooms and all that jazz, I wanted to find something mobile. The first company I tried was beyond challenging. So I looked again, and found Phlebotomist on Wheels. I was starting to give up on this, but these folks were a Godsend. They listened carefully to my concerns (the prior company had everything in one bag, with only one set of gloves - yikes!), and walked carefully through how we'd approach it on-site at my building. Extra gloves and even a gown. In a world where you're a number in the system, Krystal and Kendra treated me like a person. Kendra showed up early, and was so accommodating, even when we added a few tests last minute and on a hot hot day in Austin (we did the test outside). Gross part: The needle came out at one point (probably me moving my arm), but she set me at ease, and with a professional care I see from the best pilots, moved forward. While I won't go into detail about the tests, let me just say that this wasn't an easy set. And she rocked it. She even used a smaller needle as I'd told her that getting stuck can be quite painful for me. Again - I'm used to a lack of service, a lack of care, a lack of understanding. POW is the opposite - service, caring, and as Kendra said truly treating others how we'd want to be treated. In my professional life, I have surveyed customer service systems, carefully analyzing what separates positive experiences from not-so-positive. I give POW an A+++ Very impressed. Making my appointment was super easy. I received a phone call from Adrian who explained everything about the appointment process. He e-mailed me all the paperwork to have completed before my appointment. Then he confirmed Dr. George was in network with my insurance. When I arrived to my first appointment to meet with Dr. George I was greeted by Tina who was wonderful. I had a lot of questions about the paperwork. Tina took her time talking to me and was great. I had to have blood work done and Irene was fantastic! She did a great job getting my blood quickly and on the first try. Then I met the MA Jennifer who I felt like was my homegirl. She was very professional but she was so easy to talk to. Dr. George came in and his bedside manner was great. He explained everything and gave me peace of mind. He did tell me that I would need to get an iron IV. Shannon and Nicole were the infusion nurses and while they had a difficult time finding my veins (my veins always make nurses work for their money honey) they were patient and got it done. I have spoken with Eliza multiple times and she is always so pleasant and Anisa who was great. Overall I am so happy to be treated at this location. I feel like everyone was so compassionate and kind. Great staff here. I highly recommend this location and Dr. George.

It was a cinch to schedule and you can fill out your paperwork electronically if you choose to do so. From the moment I checked in, I found the employees to be very friendly and efficient. The medical assistant who took my vitals and reviewed my current meds was also very amicable and efficient. Dr. Frachtman's nurse, Marny (RN-specialized in adult care) reviewed my medical information. She also listened to my lungs and heart, and checked for any obvious intestinal issues. We also reviewed the instructions and prep needed prior to the day of the colonoscopy. Then... (Drumroll - Bu dum bump ) ... Dr. Frachtman came in and he was great. He explained everything to me and insured that I had and understood the prep instructions. He explained any rare risk associated with the procedure. The risk of an issue is almost a moot point as the occurrence is almost nonexistent. Next, I met with the procedure scheduler. She was just as sweet, knowledgeable and efficient as everyone else. She explained any charge which I might be responsible for based on the screening colonoscopy. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

I explained this at length to the appointment desk. Later, I got a call telling me that my Dr appointment had been canceled since I couldn't have 2 appointments at a time. I asked for my Dr appointment to be reinstated but was told that he wasn't seeing patients that day. I thought that was extremely unlikely he would cancel at the same time. I was told I could be rescheduled another month ahead. I am now seeing another Dr. Unbelievable incompetence in the front office.
