I waited maybe 60 seconds and they were ready for me. The two ladies were lovely, very friendly and conversational and it distracted me from the fact that the technique there is very bad. Here's what they do, they put the tourniquet, they stick in the needle, and then they don't tape it down before inserting the vials. They hold it while switching out the different vials required for the labs. This meant that during every switch the needle in my vein was wiggling around and it hurt. I told them it hurt and they blamed it on the tourniquet. As someone who has a condition requiring frequent lab testing I can assure you this is not the appropriate way to draw several vials of blood. It was painful and the last thing I need is for that one good vein to get blown. They also didn't let me sit properly in the chair where my lab arm is relaxed on the arm rest. They wanted me to lean forward and drape my arm across the front bar, probably so they could put the sample tray on the chair instead of on the table which was so full of stuff there was no place to set it down. I liked the people well enough, they were very friendly and kind, and I liked that they have multiple staff so things can move along quickly, but I the poor technique and risk of blowing my one good vein is something I don't want to experience again if I can help it. If you don't mind waiting longer and you can choose your lab provider, I recommend the LabCorp across the driveway in the Walgreens. The man running it is professional and has a good technique. And if you are a Lake Travis local you'll enjoy speaking with him because he's lived here his whole life. The only downside of that LabCorp is it's just the one fella running things, sometimes the wait can be quite long.

Due to an accident in 9/24, my face was smashed and my nose bleed like you wouldn't believe. The ER…read moresaid, if you broke your nose then it might not show and there is nothing we can do about it. (Did I break my nose?, We don't know and "studies" show that it probably won't show up in X-rays".) Did I have a concussion? Same answer. How much did I pay for absolutely no help? Over $1000 for EMS and $300 for the bad service. Rude nurses and doctors. . Then my PCP sent me to ER for chest pain in 2/25. For fear of a heart attack. He sent me. he wanted them to do lab work, stress test and ct scan. . I went and after a simple X-ray and blood work, they said, even though my blood pressure was in the danger zone that they don't know why I have chest pains and that studies show that they tests my PCP wanted were not needed. $450 for nothing except an absolutely awful and mean and horrible nurse. Then the exit person told me they cater to the FOUR assisted living homes in their immediate area. That keeps them busy and it's all Medicare. Which I use private insurance. It explains a lot why the service is horrible. Later another physician told me to stay away from anything related to BSW because they run it like an HMO and deny services.

Amazing service to getting affordable and quality turn around time for same day PCR COVID testing…read more We needed a way to test our infant/toddler within the 72hr window before our trip to Mexico and the Bahamas and XYZ came up on my search. Keqin and staff were so friendly and efficient in getting us seen and results within 4 hours. We arrived alittle after at 8am for our 8am appointment, parked and called to let them know we had arrived. Someone came out to confirm patient information and details, inquired of what all we expect from the result page and we were able to access this via email and submit it to get ready for boarding for our trip Tuesday! $85 for the test and it was the most affordable in Austin and I would happily come back. My little one was upset but then quickly bounced back and they were so gentle. I recommended it to various others in our trip group from Austin and they all had positive words to say so THANK you for making this so easy and giving us peace of mind!

I was super impressed with Dr. Huddleston's care and knowledge. He knew exactly what to do and prescribe to improve my situation immensely. Nurse Carmela C. was also expert and precise in my treatment and Ray H. at the front desk was also very efficient and saw to it that I was treated quickly and thoroughly. I hope to not need medical care soon, but if so, I will be going to Lake Travis Family Hospital for complete and expert medical care.
