Worst urgent care I've ever been to. They can't get their medicines correct and their staff just does not care especially the doctors.

Tried to take my son (20) in this morning and was told he couldn't be seen without having his physical insurance card (we ordered a new one today). The front desk lady said there was no way she could verify his insurance through his social and group number. I've worked in dentistry field and we could go to the insurance website and verify insurance so I know she was able to do it but just didn't want to. read more

She rushed through her phone script, cutting me off as I'm asking for additional questions, then HUNG THE PHONE UP IN MY FACE. This establishment is absolutely horrible! I would not recommend coming here at all! Not even to my worst enemy. As someone coming in feeling horrible and in Immense pain. Seeking medical attention. I got far from that. The whole experience from the rude young lady at the front desk to the doctor not even listening to me and only seeing me for less than two minute after I waited 45 mins for her to even come to the room. I sat there for an hour and a half waiting as everyone passed me. SONNA is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional at the front desk. Please be warned. I have never been treated in such a manner especially at a doctors office. Completely. Appalling. I ended up getting my appointment for free. Which is weird because that's what they were trying to figure out for the whole hour and a half I was sitting there. Then was treated like I was the crazy one for having a problem with the way this Sonna woman spoke to me. I also want to note: I have never cried in public like that in my life. Staff is great and attentive, were good at explaining costs, process, nearby pharmacies, etc. came on a weekend and they were able to see me quickly, about 15 min wait. they did give me the wrong prescription, which I'll have to correct still. And they were quite costly - $200 copay - which I'll blame on my insurance. I very much appreciate how attentive and comprehensive they were, but i likely won't be back. read more

This place is an insult to the medical profession. The person at the reception is a racist and please avoid this place in case you happen to have a brown skin. I booked an appointment and was told to wait outside. After an hour they called me saying someone will come outside and take my vital signs. I waited but until their close time so I went in to ask and the lady at the reception without asking anything or apologizing said she has refunded my payment and that was it. We called this location in advance before going to confirm whether or not they would see someone who tested positive for Covid for some kidney pain. After confirming they would and that they would do the appointment in the car, my wife proceeded to the location and waited two hours in her car. After speaking to numerous staff over the course of two hours who confirmed that they would handle her situation, they ran our card for the services and then suddenly informed my wife that they would not be able to see her after all because she was confirmed Covid positive. Refund performed. Come on guys. A phone call, a visit and a wait was performed by us. You had every opportunity to tell us "sorry, we aren't seeing Covid positive patients" along the way. Instead you left my wife out in her car suffering in pain when she could have gone somewhere else. read more

I know the "in" thing right now is COVID but I came in for a good old fashion knee laceration from crashing a mountain bike. I knew the wound needed cleaning and stitches and Nurse Practitioner Stormy and the other staff took excellent care of me. Taking the time to make sure the wound was clean and I was sufficiently comfortable while they worked. It's a little weird to review a medical practice but the truth is that it is hard to judge amongst the options so I felt that I should provide feedback. I'll definitely consider ExpressMD again! Oh yeah, I know they're dealing with COVID patients and testing so they have a few protocols in place but I did not have to wait very long to be seen. Never had a problem until this month. Their online appointment system is useless. Why schedule an appointment, arrive on time, and placed in the waiting room queue as a walk in. I waited yesterday as a walk in. I waited 35 mins and then turned away due to computer problems. Today was another bad experience. It's shame that the front desk has such an influence over healthcare. Because the care is excellent if you can ever see a nurse or doctor. read more

I was turned away after visiting the second time as they administered the strongest antibiotic for my ear infection they had. The only thing they could do is to prescribe the same antibiotic again as my ear infection went from bad to worse. Seems like the ear drops made things worse than before visiting this place. Scheduled an appointment to see an ENT, but the earliest appointment is one month out. It was either take the same antibiotic or see a new specialist. The nurse was nice enough to refer to a list of ENT in the area. read more

The process for Covid testing was pretty easy. Same day appointment. You wait in your car. If you are doing a rapid test, they will have you check in for your appointment by calling the number. Then you will pull around back to get the test done from the car once they give you the all clear. Super simple. Done in 20 min or so. I would recommend this place! read more

Wow I have never felt so comfortable at an urgent care. Doctor Candice is so attentive, listened to my concerns, answered all of my questions and gave me so much advice moving forward. This was the least transactional experience I think I've ever had with any doctor ever. They were also super quick! Since this place doesn't have many reviews that aren't wildly biased, I thought I'd do my best to paint an honest picture of my experience here. For the record - if I could give it 2.5 stars, I would. But I can't so I rounded up. :-) The pros: - Personally, I thought everyone at the front desk was incredibly helpful and kind. Possibly more patient with me than anyone in the back. I had a good feeling after interacting with them. - I did get the meds that an urgent care would give out, in a timely manner for an urgent care. The cons: - They are very busy, and so I do understand (to an extent) being in a rush, but I truly wish one of the Nurse Practitioners I saw (I visited twice, on the 22nd and then on the 24th) would've made me feel less like a bother. The first one I saw, I believe her name is Mirna, was my better experience. She was quick, but at least listened to my problems before sending me out. Her diagnosis was closest to the head, and she was on the right track by prescribing me steroids, although I needed way more than the 3 pills I got. Overall, I would go to see Mirna again at this Urgent Care. Friendly, kind, in a rush but still wanting to hear everything I had to say. I felt that if I had a more classical problem like a cut or virus, she would've hit the nail on the head. Also this day was SLAMMED so I felt for her deeply. - I came back two days later because my symptoms worsened. This was my lesser experience. Busy but not slammed. The person who came in looked in my ears, claimed infections, and then tried to walk right out. It was embarrassing as I literally had to stop her twice from opening the door saying "I apologize but I have more questions". She talked so quickly with my diagnosis she was giving me that I couldn't keep track, and she looked in my ears for maybe .5 seconds each before concluding that. Again, I know urgent cares get busy, but please please make your patients feel like they're valued at least a little bit. I felt so silly, almost begging her to stay in the room with me, to explain something to me, because I had been going on 5+ days of not being able to hear/immense discomfort in my ears and I just wanted to be taken seriously. Had she been the first person I visited with, I would not have returned. Ultimately, I saw a specialist (ENT) yesterday and I need to have surgery done. I would've liked for either of these individuals to recommend that I see a specialist, that it's out of their wheelhouse, before everything. Especially the 2nd to prescribe me antibiotics I did not need. My partner had a good experience here in the past. It's close to us, so will probably try again, but will just keep my expectations lower and double check with another Doctor/specialist when I can get into their schedules. read more

I wish i could do negative stars. Me and my wife went in for check up, we both had extreme cough and cold. The nurse practitioner asked us what over the counter medicine we were taking and that's it she didn't even bother checking my wife for flu. Next day her symptoms worsened went to another urgent care and she tested positive for flu. We lost a day of diagnosis because the nurse practitioner did not want to test for flu. Then i told her specifically i want antibiotics and she prescribed me the steroids which were suppose to bring down the throat swelling which my wife had. Really gone downhill. Used to like this location. They've changed out nurse practitioners it seems. No empathy, very dismissive. The first words out of her mouth were to reprimand me for writing viral infection in the symptoms column along with my actual symptoms. I didn't even get a word out before she went on and on about self diagnosing. Then after the lecture she said now I could look at you or you can take this handout (that was printed before she even saw me). I would use her name but she didn't give one, introduce herself, or use any pleasantries at all for that matter. She had a rich pleasant accent though. If I had one takeaway, I guess it would be if i have symptoms that are manifesting in the same manner as a person I was in recent direct contact with, who had a diagnosis for something that is contagious, that I shouldn't write those clearly triggering words on the why are you here sheet. I'm fine with being told use over the counter meds but I'm not fine with the way she approached me. I tried to explain I was hopeful there was something that could be done if I intercepted early to avoid full blown sickness. I have never been so shut down before even speaking a word. She wanted confrontation before there was even an opportunity for it. Maybe the woman was having a bad day or maybe she just judged me off a piece of paper and came in guns blazing. Not only did she not let me speak for a good while she cut me off repeatedly like it was a tit for tat situation. She chose very poor wording that I firmly believe would make most anyone immediately upset. She was very condescending. No one else in the establishment treated me that way or made me feel anything less than welcome. I sincerely hope for the sake of others that this isn't her everyday approach. read more

I visited the Express MD Urgent Care in Pflugerville on Sunday morning. Everyone was so helpful and thoughtful! I was greeted cheerfully at the desk and I wasn't asked to pay my copay at the office because my insurance company was experiencing phone issues that day. My nurse was quick to call me to take my vitals. He later returned with a steroid injection that was given expertly. My visit with Megan, my nurse practitioner was very thorough. She took time to address all my concerns. I left the clinic with great instructions and this morning I received a voicemail from Megan as a follow up to my visit. I have been a patient at this clinic five times over the last year and I always have excellent care!! Thank you for doing your jobs so well!! read more

I've driven by this place multiple times, but I'm fairly healthy, and have never really needed "emergency" care. Sadly, I had an issue with my eye, and remembered this place being close to my house. There was no wait, and I was able to walk right in to see the doctor (Dr. Munitz). I found the nursing staff very friendly and helpful. They were also extremely efficient. Dr. Munitz was great and was able to get me out the door with minimal wait. Overall, it was a great experience. read more

Only PAs here and no doctors. The PA then made my wife's visit feel rushed and did not take interest in her situation. A strep and flu test were simply administered and never asked if we even wanted one. The meds prescribed were ineffective and when we inquired about follow-up treatment, we were told we had to have another visit. That of course involves shelling put more money to be "re-evaluated". Obviously this place is about making money only and a real scam. Why would we pay money to go back to such a place, when they misdiagnosed her in the first place?? Went to another urgent care in Hutto. They have real doctors and the diagnosis was different and actually effective. It says a lot when you visit an urgent care and you're still sick a week later... I use to love this place. I use to recommend them to friends/family. I would even have rated them 5 stars. The last two times I've been I have been extremely disappointed with the whole staff. The front desk to the person checking on me. I went in two days ago. My ear has been hurting really bad and is clogged like swimmers ear. I told them I was COVID negative so she didn't do anything but check my ear and say it was red. I also told her I had a horrible cough. She gave me ear drops just for the redness of my ear and nothing for the fact that I can't hear and my ear feels like it has water. All she said was to take Sudafed which I was already doing. They did nothing for my cough. I called today to see if they could call in better ear drops and never got a call back. I will never go back. I wish I could get my money back I spent for my copay. Waste of my hard earned money. If you want your health to be taken seriously please avoid this place. I'm highly disappointed that I have to go spend money again to get the care I should have the first time. read more

Wow! Absolutely terrible. The staff is great and friendly but it's obvious that profit is paramount to patient care. I went there for 2 issues - a lingering sinus infection and an ear infection. I guess that you can only have 1 issue per visit because they can't bill twice for two issues. So they will not properly address them. Perhaps hoping you'll come back for another swipe of insurance benefits. For the sinus infection they gave me cough pills and for the ear - drops. After a week, same problems, same pains. I guess I have to try another provider for help. Never had this issue in Houston. Will never go back. P.S . Yelp made me select at least 1 star so I could post. Zero was really my choice. read more

Seems to me that Urgent needs to be removed from their name. With difficulty breathing, were told to sit and wait our turn. No triage, no urgent patient priority. First come first serve. Don't come here. Go to Baylor Scott and White down the street or any other urgent care center that has urgency. We definitely didn't need an ER and to pay this much when an urgent care could have assisted us. But, gotta do what you gotta do. read more

Donna the front desk receptionist at this Location in Pflugerville was extremely condescending and Snarky to me as a New patient. This provider was recommended to me by my insurance company and I was very excited to receive services however after speaking with Donna prior to me scheduled appointment for Chiropractic Care I was extremely discouraged and insulted when she told me "I need to read first" when asking for clarification about a sign on the door as I was being precocious of COVID-19 called into the office I order to I not get out of my car due to all the signs on the door stating to "STOP" and not enter the waiting room and to call the front desk to notify I had arrived. I called in to the number provided on the sign taped to the entry door to let them know I had arrived for my appointment and after speaking to the representative Donna and being treated disrespectfully and being a person of color quite honestly I do not recommend! read more

I was surprised to read many negative reviews on this place. We have a primary but some are unable to get a last minute or weekend appointment so this has been our go to place since moving here from out of state a few years ago. We've always received prompt friendly care. We have had to go in for a fall accident with our daughter that required some medical attention, one night we called about 20 minutes before close and they stayed open late to see our daughter who ended up needing antibiotics. We've been quickly diagnosed for strep on several occasions. Last spring one daughter had what we thought may be appendicitis, they encouraged us to go to a ER, they were willing to see her but if it turned out they thought she may have appendicitis (which they did think was highly probable given her symptoms) it would be a charge from them and then sent to a ER so they recommended we go straight to the ER. Turned out she did have it and they saved us time and money by sending us straight to the ER. My grandson was visiting from out of state and was seen and treated for double ear infection. Since it was out of network for my daughter they gave her a discounted fee to ease the cost. It's a great place and a great staff in my opinion. Our family will definitely continue to rely on then when we can't get into our primary right away. Side note we think Candace is great. And all the nurses have always been very kind and hospitable. read more

Unfortunately, I didnt make is past the really rude lady that answered their phone. Maybe their services are fantastic, but the lady that answered showed me that Id be better off going elsewhere. I emailed the company directly, and havent gotten any kind of feedback. Convo went like this.. And mind you, Im friendly. Im respectful, and was truly calling to find out what we need to do to get in, and what it would cost. Me: "I dont have insurance, so Im inquiring on general fees. My husband, I think, has strep". I ish you not. She says, "so, whats your problem".. And then proceeds to go into EVERY SINGLE fee they have from the visit itself, all the way to stitches. Whoa. So I fell off a horse on Thanksgiving day. Yep, fell right off on my head. Did I do the smart thing and go to the ER then? Why no, no I didn't. I waited 4 days before deciding I could not stand the pain anymore. I got in quickly to see the nurse practioner, who proceeded to give me a well deserved lecture about head and back injuries and how I'm lucky I'm not dead or paralyzed. I know. I know. Stupid mistake. Anyway, for my $55 copay I got xrays and a couple of scripts to help me through the week. The staff was great and I was in and out in less than an hour. Came here when I got ear infection on a weekend. Worst! because no doctor office open on the weekend. I think I've been spoiled living in a place where there is after care clinics and insurance that is good and dependable. Well, it's all different now. Found this place on my way to Wal-mart... It was new. I was so sick that I thought... why not! at least hopefully, a doctor would not make you feel worse that you already are, right? and the bill won't cost me an arm and a leg, I didn't think. So, yes, I went in... Surprisingly, the place is nice, the service is fast and hm.. somewhat friendly, and ... I got better!!
