You would think because they are owned by the same company the transfer would had been effortless. You'd be wrong. I basically was treated as a new patient and had to jump through all the same hoops. Ridiculous. I have a four-hour infusion and during that time, I'm not allowed to make a phone call! Seriously? People work and have things they need to take care of. We are not animals you can put in a corner and tell them to be quiet. After being told to get off the phone I had to sit and listen to the nurses laugh and tell stories at the front desk. Also, the nurse required me to wear the BP cuff the whole time I was there because she would need to check my BP. How lazy can you be? So you have to sit with an IV in one arm and a cuff on the other. If you're going to tie me down and restrict me like this, there better be good drugs involved! I heard that the wonderful woman who ran the San Antonio clinic just left. Guess she got tired of the BS too. If you need infusions, do yourself a favor and call Coram Healthcare and get your infusions at home. That's what I'm doing.

First Visit: I had been dealing with a respiratory tract infection for almost 30 days and had already been treated by another community care center. Since I had a trip planned, I wanted to confirm whether I was still contagious. After completing my paperwork, I was called in quickly. The doctor reviewed my symptoms--fever that came and went, a bad cough, and throat discomfort. She checked my vitals, body temperature, and BP, which were all normal at that moment. Since I had already completed a round of antibiotics, she advised me to let my body fight the infection, reassuring me that I was no longer contagious. That was a relief, and I left Ally without being charged. Second Visit: After returning from my trip to California, I came back to Ally with a 103°F fever, severe body aches, extreme fatigue, and a baddd cough. This time, they ran every available test for infections and viruses, which confirmed that I had Influenza A, Influenza B, and COVID-19 and Respiratory Tract Infection. Unfortunately, since I had been sick for over a week, the doctor explained that antiviral medication wouldn't be effective. But they saw how severe my cough was, they prescribed an inhaler and cough medication to help manage my symptoms. I was charged $220 but that was in my best interest there are several other options which you can decide accordingly. What I appreciate most about Ally is that they are upfront about costs. Unlike other ERs that seem to prioritize billing over patient care, they inform you of pricing in advance, giving you the option to accept or decline services based on what's in your best interest. I honestly trust them more than my own physician at this point. I once took a friend to another ER where she tested positive for the flu. All they did was checked her vitals and BP before prescribing medication. Later she received a bill for $1,000. I was very ill at the time, so I do not have any pictures of Ally. However, I've attached a screenshot as proof of my visit.

Before going, I checked my Humana insurance, which listed this facility as a provider, so I arrived expecting to use my coverage. Once I arrived, I was told they do not accept insurance, which was very confusing and concerning given how they were listed under my plan. I was then informed that costs would start at around $800 or more, and according to the receptionist, they do not perform X-rays. Despite my insurance copay being $45, I was insisted upon to pay $800 upfront before any examination, without being seen by a doctor or receiving any medical evaluation. Due to the excessive cost, I declined treatment and left. The receptionist was extremely rude and dismissive throughout the interaction, which only made the situation worse. Being pressured for a large upfront payment before any care was provided raised serious concerns. Overall, between the lack of transparency regarding insurance, exorbitant pricing, and unprofessional behavior, I chose not to proceed with treatment and will not be returning. This experience left me very uncomfortable and concerned about how patients are treated here.

I left the OB completely freaked out (the on call doc when I went was absolutely awful) & not to mention, with no diagnosis or meds or anything at all. As someone who suffers from anxiety, I had a full blown anxiety attack for the next 24 hours. The following day I couldn't take it and came down the road to viks. Due to the intimate nature of my issue, I requested a female doctor but they told me they only had male; so I just took what I could get, not a huge deal. Front desk was fairly nice, filled out the papers, and they took me back fairly quickly. My doctor was Dr. Mcalasdair (apologies if i spelled that wrong). While I did originally want an ultra sound, he attempted talking me out of it. We went back and forth for a little bit but ultimately he said he was pretty confident he knew what was causing this, and while he didnt think an ultrasound was needed, he was willing to call their ultrasound person to come down and do it if I was adamant. I eventually caved and agreed to not do the ultrasound. Although he did make a little dig during our convo which I didn't appreciate (he said something along the lines of "I've been doing this for 30 years so I think I know what I'm doing). Please don't be condescending. Regardless of how long you've been in medicine, people are still allowed to advocate for themselves & their desires for their treatment. Anyway - aside from that, he was attentive and reassuring. However I've got to give it to the nurse - she really soothed me and my anxieties. She was such a sweetheart. She was maybe a middle aged lady with a British accent. She was so attentive, answered all my questions, checked on me, and when she could tell how nervous I was, she even brought me a little mini teddy bear with a viks shirt on to hold onto. No matter how old you are, little gestures like that really mean something, especially when you're scared. In the end, what I got was an IV in the arm with antibiotics. I believe it took like 45 min to fully drain. While I just sat there and waited, my nurse even brought me a heated blanket to make sure I was warm and comfortable. She was the best. They wrote me a prescription for an oral antibiotic but we were unsure if we were gonna make it on time before the pharmacy closed. On the off chance we didn't, they gave me my first pill ther so I wouldn't have to worry about missing a dose that night (in case we weren't able to get it until the next day). Thankfully we did make it to the pharmacy before they closed though. But that was really thoughtful. In the end, we ended up paying the ER price upon leaving. I haven't received any other bill in the mail so I can't speak on that experience yet... Also - the doctor called the next day to check up on me but I was unable to answer so he left a message. I called back the following day, but he wasn't busy with a patient so a message was taken. No call back. Called again the next day, he wasn't at the lakeway location, he was at another location. So I called the other viks location I was told he was at and they took a message since he was busy with a patient and told me he would call me back. He never did. I called again a day or two later back to the lakeway location and they gave me the same story and said they'd take a message but I told them I had already tried that multiple times and got no call back and told them I just wanted to speak to anyone on staff nurse or otherwise for them to answer my questions. So they put me on hold and I spoke to another doc I'm assuming, but not the one I saw, not dr macalasdair. This doc was pretty vague and dismissive with his answers. Basically it was like a couple word answers or "I can't answer that unless you come back in & we look at you again"...... mkay. He was unhelpful. Between the snarky response when I was advocating for myself in the room & the lack of call back and unhelpful response I got when I finally demanded to speak to anyone doctor on staff, that's why I took one star off. Otherwise, I had a solid experience. They fixed me and calmed my nerves at the same time. If anything goes awry with billing, I'll be sure to update my review. But for now, thanks for helping me!

I'm 43 and have dealt with chronic illness for many years. I'm pretty much a Subject Matter Expert on being a patient as I've seen so many doctors and practitioners. 2.5 years ago I moved to Austin and just happened to choose IFH to get started with a doctor in my new city. Today I sit here in the office waiting for an appointment to see Amy and I think about how lucky I was 2.5 years ago...and I just hope she never leaves. Also it's because of her that I FINALLY got diagnosed with a rare sleeping disorder after almost a decade of suffering and seeing specialists. She listened and was constantly in a diagnostic mind frame with me. I can't recommend her enough.

If you go for an annual wellness visit, you WILL be charged for numerous assessments that were not performed, or for a higher level of care than what was actually provided (in other words, upcharging). I used to overlook this because I had great insurance and it would usually be a $25 copay. Now that I have a high-deductible plan, I refuse to pay over $200 for an annual wellness visit that did not have any diagnostic elements. At my last visit, charges included: -99396 Established patient periodic preventive medicine examination age 40-64 years (yes, this is legitimate) -99214 Established patient office or other outpatient, visit (This is an upcharge. I did not discuss ANY topics besides immunizations, cancer screening, and contraception. These are all components of a wellness visit. A provider cannot charge for both of these visit types) -96127 Brief emotional or behavioral assessment (This charge was for a standard mental health assessment that is considered preventative screening. If you fill out a PHQ-9 and GAD-7 at check-in, they will charge you for it without telling you. You will not be given the option to decline these forms.) -99497 Advance care planning by the physician or other qualified health care professional (This is a flat-out lie. There was absolutely no discussion of advanced directives at my visit.) Lab assessments - Amy ordered a slew of expensive hormonal tests without my consent, and now I'm on the hook to pay Quest. I didn't discuss any concerns that would necessitate a hormone work-up. I have contested the bill with my insurance company. Honestly I am not sure how Inspire stays in business because the billing practices are so blatantly fraudulent.

They set up supply delivery that is on point and has everything that we need. If you are someone that wants wonderful, respectful care, but doesn't have the time or need to drone on about their problems, then this is the place for you.

Said just watch the wound. Nurse Patty said it's not her problem that messages didn't get thru After she said messages were her responsibility. I hope to never have to go there again.

Too many doctors see themselves above human error. My primary doctor had retired and I had to…read moreschedule my annual wellness exam with a new doctor. Dr Harris was taking new patients so I scheduled with a clear understanding that I was coming for an annual wellness exam covered by Medicare. Unfortunately my appointment was during the flooding in the Austin area, with low water crossings closed prior to public road closings were updated. My travel to the clinic took 90 minutes that is typically 50 minutes. I checked in to the front desk 17 minutes late and Dr Harris made the decision to turn me away regardless of the 3 hour round trip I had just made, white knuckling it all the way. Since I didn't know her, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for the following day. Storms still prevailed but I took alternative routes and arrived 20 minutes before my appointment. Upon checkin I was told this annual physical would not be covered by Medicare. And was given a spread sheet that required fasting for the blood test, another request I made in advance to have before the exam, only to be told she doesn't do that with new patients, requiring a followup visit - I'm guessing for additional costs tacked on to the initial visit. She finally showed up to my room 30 minutes after the office visit was scheduled. This was our first introduction and I knew just by her appearance she was not in good physical health based on her obesity. I proceeded to share with her the appointment confusion over an annual wellness exam that clearly is covered by Medicare and the $215 costs now being required not to mention the return for labs. Then I showed her pictures of my previous days travel showing her the closed water crossings from the morning before, and the 17 minute delay. At that moment I was prepared to leave without an exam based on her 30 minute late entry to my 2nd appointment! I'm done with this "God" mentality in the medical industry and how rules apply to clients but not held by the same doctors that set these rules. And one more point...if you are in the medical industry, especially primary care, you should practice and look the part. One of the questions I was going to ask was her knowledge of nutrition, supplements and peptides along with HRT. I got my answer when the fat Dr Harris walked into my room. Do better.
