The store was impressively stocked, full, and clean. I bought a lot of salad items, and the produce area looked amazing. Very clean, and stocked well too. Great experience. This Randalls location must be under new management for a long time now, because the quality of service and food quality control has greatly improved! Online shopping and curbside pickup has been flawless and I really appreciate the fact I can order for same day pickup without being charged $4.95 like their big competitor. Nice little bonus. Aaaaaaand, they even sold bundles of wood curbside. I can't express how blessed I felt to have a stockpile when Uri came into town and knocked our power and heat out for almost four days. Woman have wood...woman can cook and make hot chocolate. Lol. Lastly, if you shop using SWA Rewards Randalls matches one additional point for each dollar spent...2 for 1 mile points. Solid Randall's that is absurdly clean. The free Wi-Fi is excellent and fast. They have a great wine selection and they have a ton of different types of produce. With that said the pre cooked food options are a bit light for a grocery store. Also during the day very few registers are open which is fine if you're good with self-checkout. read more

My review is of the pharmacy at the Quinlan Park location. Pros: The pharmacist is always friendly and attentive whenever I've dealt with her. Cons: The pharmacy staff is overtly unfriendly and actually seems to be put out whenever I have to deal with then with regard to dispensing a prescription. If it was not for the pharmacist and the stores proximity to my home, I would fill my prescriptions elsewhere. read more

Can I just say how thankful I am to have a Randall's 5 minutes away from me? Yes, they may be short staffed or don't have that much variety in products but those working are working HARD. Even with their high stress level, I'm always greeted with a smile. There's a Starbucks inside and also a FedEx counter. They are also kid friendly and my daughter feels like she's a VIP as people smile and wave while we shop lol I love that they carry enough allergy medicine because my husband and oldest child suffer from cedar allergies. There's one night when they almost couldn't breath or open their eyes. I quickly went online to learn that pataday eye drops are now over the counter and Randall's carry them! Those saved my family and Randall's had them in great quantities. Just have to remember those eye drops are at the front of the aisle, not towards the end near the pharmacy like other allergy medicines are. Randall's staff and owner, we appreciate you. read more

The deli made a lovely charcuterie tray in on a day notice. It exceeded my expectations and the service was exceptional.

I stop here on my way home sometimes because H-E-B is always busy and after work it can be too much. HOWEVER, there is a darn good reason HEB is always busy. Their food is fresh and the selection is great. I am done with Randall's - I just opened a container of ROTTEN Kefir (do you know how long it takes for that to go bad?!?) and it ruined my recipe. Randalls, you finally broke me. I've been supporting your business for a while now (check it out on Yelp, more than 35 visits over the last couple of years!) and chalked up the occasional slip-up as normal. No more. The last half-dozen visits have gotten so bad, I'm giving you up. Let me count the ways: 1) Three visits to your gas station to take advantage of your customer discount. Each time, the pump stuck and 'kicked back' so badly that I couldn't get more than 2-3 gallons of fuel into the tank in total. This has happened on and off for all the time I've visited, but it used to be just annoying. Now, it's happening so often that I avoid your station. Obviously, no one cares to do the maintenance on the pumps. 2) The last three visits to your store have been awful. And during the final visit, all of remaining packs of hot dog buns were so stale you could feel how hard they were through the package. But ALL three visits made me exit through the ironically named 'Express' line. Each time, the cashier had to deal with something - a coupon, your stupid Farberware stamp program, or a price check - and they couldn't handle it! Each time, your checkers entered and re-entered the codes extremely slowly. Then they mis-packaged things or moseyed off to call a manager. Clearly, they don't want to be there and now neither do I. So tell me, Randalls: Why are you putting the slowest and least motivated people behind these registers? I'll read your reply when I'm busy shopping at HEB. read more

It's good enough for what it is. A corporate chain grocery store that should have more competitive pricing though. But some decent deals if you sign up for discounts. Gotten some good deals on clearance items and freebies. Really young staff mostly seems which sorry but kinda reflects the service, a bit carefree and distracted. In comparison, H‑E‑B is pretty incomparable for its efficient customer service. But this is convenient and we're fortunate to have them here for us. read more

I have no idea why there are negative review here as most of them seem situational and somewhat petty. I have had my medication filled at this store for more than 5 years and the Pharmacists and techs have been fantastic! The store is expansive, clean and the staff have always been great. Allow me to relay an experience I had just today. I was looking for a product at the Pharmacy that was out of stock. I grabbed the nearest staff member, Connor, and asked for his help. He immediately began tracking down why the item was out of stock and what could be done. Because I didn't have one with me, he texted me his number so I could send him a picture of the barcode of one I already had when I got home. he reached out to me a few hours later telling me he was looking into why the warehouse hadn't been sending this item and would get back with me! This wasn't a manager, this was a young man working most likely his first job. This type of experience is what I often encounter at Randalls. Sherie, the GM of the store, seems to be very supportive of her staff and really works hard to ensure everyone is there for the store customers. All I can say, in addition to the above, is Randalls has been doing a great job of ensuring my positive shopping experience for the past 5 years. Consistency is the key and they are consistent. Don't look at situational and petty reviews. Look at those who represent extended experiences! read more

They no longer have self checkout which means you will almost always be stuck in a line and end up with a cashier who would rather be someplace else. Read: SLOW. The frozen vegetable section keeps getting smaller. I finally asked for assistance finding the frozen soup vegetables. He had no idea what I was talking about and assured me they've never sold them before. I explained Randalls does sell them (I bought them there before and that mix doesn't have okra) and I've previously bought them at Randalls (we prefer the HEB mix but I was short on time today). He did the section a once over with his eyes (the way a kid doesn't actually look for something) then said they didn't sell them and reiterated they've never sold soup vegetables before. read more

I don't understand all the hate. You have to look for the sales and know what and when to buy. Reward card is annoying to set up at first, but is a breeze to use afterwards. They FINALLY have a gas station here and the gas rewards with the card are actually pretty good! Its laid out well, its super clean, and no one hassles me for my service dog. Almost every staff member has been nothing but pleasant and friendly and there's almost never crowds. Pharmacist is knowledgeable and very happy to help. Decent pet selection, so glad they have a Freshpet fridge. Starbucks is super friendly and almost all the baristas make my drinks perfectly. Its close to home and its open a lot of holidays. The meat selection is actually surprisingly good! read more

Horribly overpriced!! Went home and found one of my recent HEB receipts then compared it to Randalls prices. Even with the Randalls card, prices were around 30-40% more than HEB and in some cases more than 100%!. This is my favorite Randall's Store. They always have Rustic French bread, they must bake it daily. It is always hit or miss at other stores. The staff are pretty nice. We love the fresh produce, it is always tasty and rarely bruised. The stockers must know what they are doing and care. We will continue to shop here even with the new HEB in town. read more

The Starbucks at this location is horrible. They either aren't open or open late or are out of everything. How can a coffee shop be out of coffee. Coffee last week tasted like soap. Couldn't even drink it. Thankfully Summer Moon is now open. read more

Good grocery store with a good new gas pump. This store has friendly people and, if you have a rewards card, great prices. The gas pump has had some problems since it's opening. I really like this new Randall's in Steiner Ranch (not in but 620@ Quinlan Park Rd) . The layout is very nice and easy to navigate on a first visit. I entered the door at the floral department and what a wonderful assortment of healthy looking outdoor and indoor flowers and potted plants plus a huge selection of beautiful cut flower arrangements. After passing through the floral department is the produce department and everything looked very fresh with a nice organic selection. The rest of the perimeter of the store is refrigerated items and meat/seafood counter until you get to the awesome wine department. The wine department has red roped off tasting area with a large flat screen TV for televising info on different wines when a human is not there for sampling! Continuing along the perimeter I arrived at what I was looking for Deli, Fresh Baked Bakery, prepared ready to eat counter, olive bar, Starbucks and a free WiFi cafe. HEB has better prices overall but Randall"s has much better sale prices on things I frequently buy and they are the only grocery store that sells frozen beef femur bones that I feed my dogs (Tomlinson's beef bones are 5X more expensive). AND Randall's is open on many holidays when HEB is closed when you need that ingredient you can not buy at Walgreen! This location has a Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union if that happens to be helpful. read more

It's not okay for anyone to go through what I went through with them let alone it being for an 18 month old child. This store isn't that bad compared to other one I have been in. But there is never enough registers which is probably because they are so understaffed at this location. I also wish in the morning they could open self check out sooner then 7:30. No offense but I'm usually not a morning person and I just want to get in and out without really interacting with the cashier if I can help it. The cashiers are nice for the most part. Worst store ever. Bad enough it's selection is limited. The Bakery is bland, the prices are high but I tried the phamacy yesterday. No one was using it, it was slow you think they would have been on the ball and friendly? NOT A CHANCE! Rudest lady ever in pharmacy. Gray hair, shoulder length and nasty nasty nasty. I started my day with surveillance at about 5am, it was a long day, went to the Doctor at 4:30 fought through friday rush hour traffic walgreens (my usual store) was impossible to get into so I went to Randall. Worn out from a looooong day it's now about 7pm I get to the counter a really nice girl starts to process my prescription and about 10 minutes later this hag comes from nowhere and LITERALLY throws my prescription at me and says she wont fill it at least not today. I just looked at her. I said excuse me? She said you refill your prescription a week early every month for the last four months. Which isn't true. I get my prescription the same day as my doctors appointment 3 days before the last one. Although four months ago I got it 6 days ahead of time. And friday would have been 6 days ahead of time instead of 3 and my doctor said it was okay. Which I told her and she said. I don't care I'm not filling it until Monday unless I hear from your doctor. So I go to call my doctor...He shares office space with 5 others so on my phone I say siri call Dr.... Which is a different Doctor and the Hag yells across the pharmacy...She is not even at the counter....I am not talking to Dr.XXX (the one I said for siri to call) I want to talk to the Dr that wrote the prescription. Who the hell does she think she is? Talk don't yell, don't interrupt my phone conversation to have your say and OF COURSE i'm calling the Doctor that wrote the prescription! How dare you yell my Doctors name across the store! What a violation! So I worked all day, I'm dragging ass it's friday at 7:00pm an old hag is rudely refusing to fill a prescription, listening to my phone call and then yelling across the pharmacy. Now I'm on the phone while she's yelling I have no intentions of explaining to this inept ignorant creature anything else. I get through to My Doctor through his after hour service, tell him what happened and he calls in to walgreens and I pick up my prescription there. I finally get home at 8pm. Randall's made my long day longer. When I came home and told my boyfriend what happened he said he too finds them rude. Yeah their convenient here at Steiner Ranch MAYBE but Only when you run out of butter other than that NEVER. read more

Whelp I never thought I had to write a review for this place but I come here too often not to. I generally don't have any issues but today was the exception. I decided to come in for lunch and order a sandwich from the Deli. The sandwich lady although limited English did very well making my sandwich. I also paid for fountain cup for self serve fountain drink. To my disappointment the ice maker was out or broken. I told the Manager and he just told me there's nothing he could do and to just grab a bottle coke. Mind you I wanted the lemonade. I let it go after finding out he was really the Manager, smh. FYI check the fountain for ice before paying for the cup. Bad customer service on their part, especially since the cup cost more than the bottle option. read more

I shop here every Sunday while my kid has lessons nearby. There is ALWAYS expired food. Last week I bought some candied pecans as part of a Christmas care package for some friends out of state and found they'd expired in November. Last week I also bought asparagus that turned out to be rotten when I went to cook it. Today, all the celery had the date 12/02. I found asparagus with 12/04. My husband found candied pecans with 08/23 and 10/11!!! Today is 12/10/2017. Nearly 75% of the chicken had manager's special stickers. Why? They were sell by 12/10. Sure, that is not expired, but you cant shop for the week with food like that. This is a regular occurrence at this store. A minor annoyance: each week I ask for the baggers to put all the cold stuff in an insulated bag. I have to stand there and tell them what is cold and what is not as they have no clue. read more

We have been using this Randalls for some of our grocery pickups (curbside) during the pandemic. They are always very friendly and are careful to wear masks and respect social distancing. But we have had some real problems with the quality of some of the items we have ordered. Specifically, the salad mixes have been BEYOND ripe (yuck) even though the "best by" date was several days in the future. We have also gotten fresh berries that were molded and had to be thrown away, and even a few products that were already past their expiration dates. C'mon, Randalls, you can do better than this, especially since you require a $30 minimum curbside order when certain other stores have no minimum. And what's with only a very few of the Randalls stores even offering curbside? read more

I've been shopping at this store since it opened. It's very clean and prices are very good when you use the rewards app. I think the meat department is a step above HEB and it's always stocked very well. The floral department has struggled some in the past few years but they are trying to hire good help who will stay. Kevin K in customer service is great and can help with most anything. He went above and beyond the call and fix a glitch in my rewards app. He's been there almost since the store opened. They've also hired a cart cleaning supervisor like a Jack of all trades and he always greets me with a smile. Sheree the manager is always willing to help with any issues. I am thankful for this neighborhood store being so close to us; it has saved us many times from having to get out on 620 to fight traffic. I took one star off for having to always bring my own cart in from parking lot because I like the small black carts. I don't usually mind but it's everytime I shop now so this is something they could work on. The deli guys are great too just wish it could stay open a little later. read more

Randall's Starbucks add-on scam. Just went to the Starbucks at Randall's today to order my usual drink. To cut down on calories I always ask for Splenda instead of original syrup and nonfat milk instead of the half-and-half the drink is made with. At every other corporate Starbucks location as well as all the Barnes and Noble Starbucks locations, there is no charge for this. When my bill came up higher than I expected I was alerted to the extra charges. They charged me $.35 for the Splenda and $.65 for the nonfat milk substitutions. I told her to keep the drinks along with the newspaper, roasted chicken and grapes I was buying. From now on it is authentic Starbucks locations in Barnes & Noble Starbucks locations if I want a coffee. It's also nice that a brand-new H-E-B just opened up down FM 620 in Lakeway. read more

I live in the Steiner Ranch area and am a frequent shopper. First, the reason for my first ever post is the experience I had this morning while shopping. I was in one of the isles when I noted a very STRONG smell. I pushed my cart to follow the smell and behold they were just starting to stock the fish area in the glass case. Being a fish eater and fisher person I know the smell of fresh fish .... this was not. The smell was of rank fish that was WAY past safety for anyone to consume. I do consider their meat the best in this area, but will continue to buy my fish from HEB. Upon moving here I had one bad experience with their fish and am happy that I followed my instincts and considered this time as a learning experience. I recommend that you take this review as a caution and hope that Randalls reads this and does a quality control study to avoid anyone from getting really sick from their seafood products. This conplex is an environment disaster! For those of you who don't know this development drains into Lake Austin with no catch basin for heavy metals and oils created from the Firestone and new gas station. How did they get away with this??? because they are in the ETJ. with the rain this weekend there is a nice tan plume of constuction debris flowing into Lake Austin. Plus why do we need this store? there is a great Randall's in Lakeway. read more

The brand new Randalls is very nice. The employees here seem friendlier than your average Randall's. One thing i like about Randalls is they generally have a great frozen food area which this Randalls seems to have. There is a large wine area but i have not browsed it yet Pricier than heb so I will likely just visit for quick trips. read more
