Live blue crab

One of the best grocery stores I've ever shopped at. They have a hot counter with yummy food. Also, sell live blue crabs.

Got My Guayabera Shirt For $14.99! (Such A Steal!) SITREP I was going to a special Cinco de Mayo event in San Antonio, but I wanted to get a more traditional shirt. THE SETUP My friend Melissa said she knew right where to look, and so she took me to Fiesta. And we found EXACTLY what I needed - a maroon /wine colored Gayabaras shirt ($14.99): https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/fiesta-austin-2?select=6uWuvTG6BTNcrIAqmGfHXw While there, we also found a cute festive dress for the same occasion for her ($19.99): https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/fiesta-austin-2?select=juw8eT4H8pWBCNqkIcD2rg RELIGIOUS MERCHANDISE I'll say that Fiesta has a stunning array of religious items for sale too that you must have! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/fiesta-austin-2?select=_r6s4cTF52kMBx9nDYlKaA THE LOWDOWN My hats off to Fiesta for having exactly what we were looking for.

Yesterday I visited this Fiesta Mart location in South Austin for the 1st time ever & I so wished I lived closer because I fell in LOVE!!! Outside the front door even before entering Fiesta there was a radio DJ set up outside playing Spanish music!! How awesome is that! It made my HEB look so boring ;-). Once inside Fiesta it was so big & I loved how even though I had NEVER been shopping here before I knew exactly where everything was because on the top all around the store were big signs saying the different food products/departments like "Frozen, beer/wine, butcher, bakery"..very easy to read & find your way. And let me mention that you can buy huge, pretty, & such colorful piñatas!! Just what I need when I buying eggs & milk ;-) There was also a henna tattoo & eyebrow threading place inside Fiesta & a place to buy jewelry:-)...I know so cool!! Oh & my favorite....was the pan de dulce (Mexican sweet bread) selection!!!!! So fresh & super cheap! You know what I think it's a good thing I don't live near this Fiesta location after all..;-). And even though Fiesta carries many Mexican food items I saw ALL different ethnicities of people shopping there so that was awesome in itself:-). So needless to say I had a Fiesta inside Fiesta ;-) Until we meet again!!

Fiesta is always my go to place to come vote in south Austin. Besides voting it also has a great selection of world foods. The seafood department is probably the best in South Austin too. Every now and then we find good cuts of meat. They have a little cafe where you can grab a pretty decent lunch at a good price too. I'm definitely a fan of Fiesta!

Best Dog food for tour $$$

I always enjoy going to Fiesta. Things I love: 1) They are one of the few places that carry many of the ingredients needed to make Cuban Food from home. Really good cultural variety beyond that as well. 2) Try their Nature's Harvest organic dog food. Fiesta is the only place that sells it and it is only $10.99 for a big bag. Similar to high end name brands that cost more than twice as much at central market. See my picture of the bag. 3) Great deals on fresh fish, shramps, crawdaddies, etc.... 4) Good beer deals generally. 5) Real people just getting groceries and not trying to look hip in the process. 6) Blue Bell specials all day Son!!!! 7) Spice Corn Vendor outside. Do IT! 8) Bakery is pretty good. 9) Always open isles and clean. 10) Best option of the 4 spots near the crib (Target, HEB, Wally World, and Fiesta).

Beer is cheap here

Rude and disrespectful cashiers at check out. On their phones texting while ringing up customers. No manners and poor people skills.

It's CLEAN, has a huge selection of everything and is not crowded unlike that horrid nightmare of a store called HEB.

HokkaiSan - Regular Platter

HokkaiSan

HokkaiSan is such a fun spot, kind of like a Japanese-focused Asian snack market with way more…read morepersonality than your typical grocery store. They carry a great selection of snacks, drinks, and even alcoholic beverages, so it's perfect if you're looking to try something new or just grab a few unique treats. It's not really a full grocery store, but that's part of the charm. Curated, hard-to-find goodies. They also have fresh, to-go sushi that's honestly so good, super fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly high quality. Another huge plus is that they're open late and makes it an ideal stop for late-night snack runs (think cup noodles and more). It's definitely one of those places where you want to try a little bit of everything, even if you have to hold yourself back a bit. I definitely recommend checking HokkaiSan out!

Overall: 3.8/5…read more We've ordered from here a few times and the food isn't bad. They also have 20% off hot food and sushi after 8 PM which is a nice perk. Yakitori ($4.99): Came with two skewers of tender chicken but we didn't really like the flavors. Chashu Pork Filled Guo Bao ($7.99): The buns are fluffy and the chashu pork slices are a good size but they were a bit overcooked and didn't melt in your mouth. The flavors were just okay too. 8 Piece Salmon Sashimi ($12.99): Wow, this was super fresh and honestly better than some of the surrounding sushi restaurants. Best thing we had here and worth coming back for alone. We also ordered a regular platter ($89.99) for New Year's Eve and had it delivered. It fed 4 people with a little leftover which was great. The platter came with a variety of maki and rolls including Eel Avocado, Salmon, Yellow Tail Scallion, Spicy Salmon Crunch, Spicy Tuna Avocado, Sweet Potato Avocado, Salmon Avocado, California, Black Dragon, and Rainbow. They were all alright; I think their sashimi is better so I recommend that over the maki or rolls here.

They have everyday Japanese food items,…read morespecialty ingredients, fun snacks and sweets, sake and Japanese beers, household goods, origami, unique gifts and more. I first discovered them at their Burnet Road location and was so excited when they opened a new location on Lamar. The store is compact but packed wall-to-wall with authentic Japanese groceries, snacks, drinks, and home goods you just don't find in mainstream supermarkets. The staff is polite and efficient, and the checkout process is quick even when it's busy. Parking can be a little tight depending on the time of day. I especially love ordering their freshly made bento boxes for lunch. They go pretty fast but they allow you to reserve them over the phone on place an online order. My favorite is the Ebi fry which comes with 2 fried shrimp tempura and the Aji fry with fried fish. Then bento boxes come with rice, kinpira, tamago yaki and shibazuke. They also have a lot of Japanese items including my favorite sake Hana Awaka and other fun items. If it is a speciality Japanese item, I know I can most likely find it here.

One of my absolute favorites is their onigiri rice balls--I honestly crave them. I stopped by a little after lunchtime, and there was already a sign saying they were finished taking onigiri orders for the day. I was browsing around anyway when one of the ladies kindly asked what I was looking for. I casually mentioned a few onigiri styles, and to my surprise she smiled and said they still had some left and could make them for me. That small gesture completely made my day. The kindness and warmth of the Japanese ladies working there truly stands out. You can feel the care they put into both the food and the customers. I also picked up some Japanese noodles and sweets while I was there, which made for a very delicious and comforting lunch at home. Thank you for the wonderful service and atmosphere. Keep up the great work always. Cheers
