Like the review before me, this is a review of the Boulder Comcast store only. I was tired of spending a lot of time on the phone with Comcast, so I drove down to the store to make some changes to my service. An employee saw me almost right away, and after I told him what I needed changed, he suggested the best option for me. This option wasn't available to me when I called 1-800-XFINITY. If you need to work with Comcast on something that will take awhile over the phone, you'll save a lot of time and frustration by going to the physical location instead. They will have more helpful suggestions and options for you there. read more

Scammers like comcast/xfinity should be illegal. I can't say enough hate for them. Sure, this location is not directly responsible for this, but given that the comcast website doesn't even have a customer service link, and their phone customer service just makes claim after claim--just as irrelevant/untraceable as the claims made by the prior salesman who sold me the plan--I'm posting here about my negative experience. However, since there are so many negative reviews all over the web for comcast, I don't see any point in giving all the specifics except that I was told one thing, and charged for another, and since my "service" already started, they would not be refunding me anything. read more

If you are experiencing a problem with your service, come into this location. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THE TECHNICAL HELP LINE. I spent an afternoon on a call with the hotline and it was a nightmare. The next free day I had I went in to the shop and spoke with a Dennis Dunn, who solved all my problems within two quick minutes. All cable providers can be frustrating but this was a very painless transaction with a real human with real people skills! Save yourself a headache and try to set aside some time for a trip to the store and these folks will take care of it. read more

I went to this location today to activate new service in Boulder and was pleasantly surprised by the customer service. I had read the mostly negative reviews about Comcast in Bpulder and even tried to sign up with AT&T based on the mostly negative reviews; they're not available at my location. Despite all this trepidation I had the most helpful customer service consultant - Aubreanna. She was informative, friendly, and assured us that all of our choices were specifically tailored to my needs. Frankly, I have had many previous bad experiences with Comcast in Florida and this one very helpful person changed my view completely. read more

Went in today to sort out my bill. I was maybe 8th in line and after a while 15 people were there waiting for the 6 or so reps. One of the employees came out to the front desk and busied himself by himself on the computer in full view of everyone. So of course, I went to see what was working on. He was posting something to Facebook! "You're posting to Facebook?!" I said? He closed it quickly and said Huh? I repeated and he told me I was wrong. Then the dope reopened his page to finish the posting. There was no manager there. Then he worked on his fantasy sports page. So flunk on customer service. The lady who actually helped me was great and she's the reason this review got any stars at all. read more

I'm going to have to go in before I start a service like this. The phone offer was one #, then the install charged a monthly much more. Hold them to the original amount. This is not a review of Comcast; it is a review of the Comcast Store in Boulder. I just wanted to point that out because I feel the other reviewers may have let their opinions of Comcast influence their rating of this store--they both mention long waits with Comcast's customer service hotline and other factors the employees at this store have no control over, which obviously affected their ratings. I do not like Comcast either, but I regret that I did not find out about this store until I was cancelling my service with them because their customer service is far superior to anything you will encounter on the phone. I truly believe that Comcast arbitrarily comes up with numbers and sends them to people each month on their bill. This is because my bill with them was rarely the same despite the fact that I had the same service the entire time. Calling and explaining this required a degree of patience and an amount of time that I oftentimes do not have. I think this is Comcast's plan: charge people a negligible amount extra each month (around $5) and have such terrible customer service that the money they potentially save by calling and complaining is negated by the time and energy it takes to call and complain. Well, my last bill before I was going to cancel my service showed up in my mailbox and was a whopping $50 more than it should have been on a monthly plan that was only about $90. I called and, after explaining myself to no less than 6 people, was told that my bill had been adjusted. There was only one problem: they could adjust my bill, but the automated payment line would not reflect the changes they had made for 72 hours and for some reason it costs an extra $5 for a representative to take my payment. I called back in 3 days and of course the amount I owed was still what it had been before I called. I saw that there was a store in Boulder and I asked if I could go there. They said I could. My girlfriend and I went to this store on three different occasions. The first time was to straighten out our bill. We dealt with Rachel and she corrected our bill and took our payment in a matter of minutes--something the people on the phone were unable to do over a period of several hours which required multiple calls. Our next visit was to pay our remaining balance and our last visit was to drop off our equipment; they both went as smoothly as the first. This store usually looks very busy when you first walk in, but they line moves along and I have never been there longer than about 15 minutes--usually the time you spend on hold if you call. I guess the bottom line is, if you are unfortunate enough to have Comcast, this is the place to go WHEN you have problems. read more

This is a large, shiny, new location, but they only had a single person handling a long queue of customers! Ironically, I'd canceled my service and my purpose for visiting was to return my cable box. They made it almost impossible for me to even do that. Let's all pray for Google Fiber. read more

I don't think I have ever given a one star review before, but this store deserves it. Last semester, the guy handed me a standard definition cable box without even telling me it was only standard definition so I had to install two cable boxes in the process(waste of time). This semester, I have literally had to go in 4 times in two days(lots of waiting at the store) because the very rude employees tell me I need to have my roommate authorize me and when I do get authorized, they still won't give me HD TV. It's crazy that a company would reject more money thrown at them, but I guess these employees get paid by the hour. read more

This company truly sucks. I've lost internet service 5times in the last 10 days. The latest outage is 4 hours. Their automated service is horrible. I called on a Wednesday afternoon and got to speak to people in Mexico. Nothing against Mexico but they cannot help and a supervisor will get back to me in 72. Hours. The store signed us up for a 2 year contract that we never agreed to, when we got the bill after we left the state to call and complain they said we verbally signed up for it. They have no proof and we knew we were leaving the country so we wouldn't have signed up for a 2 year contract. Bait and switch, be aware of these fraudulent liars. read more

I would give this store infinite negative stars if I could, that's how angry this store made me this week. Allow me to begin with an explanation of the situation. Last year, my roommates and I purchased a blast speed internet + cable package from Comcast. We didn't necessarily want the cable, per se, but it was cheaper than getting just internet alone, so that's what we did. In order to spend as little money as possible on these corporate communication giants, my roommate chose the self-installation package. Little did we ever think this would be the biggest mistake he ever made. We got the package in the mail, and almost half the equipment to perform a successful self-installation was missing. My roommate tries to go in the store, and they suspect that he's trying to mooch and steal products (WTF?). Umm, we're paying for cable, and we can't even watch TV? My roommate gave up even trying because every time felt like he was talking to a brick wall. We call the technology phone, and after 45 minutes and 6 transfers, we finally (thought we) found a call center rep who actually understood the issue and profusely apologized. However, she mails out a new package, WITH THE WRONG EQUIPMENT. After many unsuccessful attempts at even trying, we just decided we were going to totally give up on this and bring the entire contents from the faulty package back. Here's where this officially goes to hell: First, I should note, I have two plates and eight screws in my shoulder from an accident two years ago. I'm pretty able-bodied now, but I still have those moments when physical activity can be a nuisance. Like y'know, lifting large, heavy boxes for longer durations of time than 20 seconds. The service rep had an entirely empty black counter, and there were no other customers in line. Yet, instead of saying "oh sure you can put this down here," she told us to wait to put the box down. RUDE! Next, I explain the problem, and told her we pretty much feel like we lost hope. She doesn't even attempt to apologize or offer a solution or replacement whatsoever. She requests that we take out the equipment, PIECE BY PIECE. Yes, she specifically said it in a belittling manner. ...Now, remember, this sh*t's heavy, and now my roommate's doing the manual labor now. The rep gives us a wicked dirty attitude, rolls her eyes, glares at my roommate, and goes: "I'd appreciate if you didn't throw the equipment onto the desk." ...Excuse me, while we were mildly annoyed, we were NOT giving her any attitude at all! it's called THIS SH*T'S NOT LIGHTWEIGHT, YO! And any dummy knows her remarks are completely unprofessional to say on the clock. Either she has a serious non-verbal communicative disorder somewhere on the autistic spectrum, or she's just completely satanic. It's still no excuse to raise your voice and call out a customer, when we were actually being civil human beings. Her snide remark triggered my roommate to her boiling point and bursted her bubble. Understandably so, she schooled her with a nice can of whoop ass. If you saw the way she was talking to us, I really can't blame her. We also work in the service industry, and we would NEVER treat a person this way when we're on the clock. Sure, my roommate dropped some F bombs, but considering the fact my roommate didn't do anything on the spectrum of the seven platforms of discrimination prohibited by federal law, nor did she threaten her, she had every single right to express her anger toward her (after all, the customer is ALWAYS right, even when wrong!). Instead of being a good customer service rep, and actually tried to listen to the problem, understand the situation, apologize, and just even slightly try to fix the situation, she kicked her out of the store. We go back to the car, and I remember we left the bill on the desk. Mind you, I did not say anything to this lady in the store (except we pretty much feel like we should give up on fixing this cable thing we pay for yet can't use); my roommate did the dirty work. I politely ask for the bill, and she thought it was completely OK to THROW IT AT MY FACE? ... I have no other word to describe that moment except WOW! ... We all know Comcast is a sham of a corporation, the corporate communications industry itself is deregulated beyond an ethical level, and we pretty much have no choice for providers. But I would stay far, far away from this particular store, and try to (attempt to) get service elsewhere. Since it's pretty much impossible to even attempt to find anyone in middle management to contact, I hope an employee from the store (or a Comcast customer) will read this, pass this on to the manager, and fire the dirty blonde haired 30-or-40 something girl with the ponytail ASAP. read more

I have no idea how Comcast is allowed to do business the way they do. You will pay much more than expected and they won't care if you have any issues. Try call and you will spend hours in hold, go into the store and they will tell you you need to call. The people at the Boulder location are of no help. Every person in the comcast store was there asking why they were getting unexpected charges on their bill, everyone was frustrated, no one was able to get any help via phone and no one was really getting anywhere by being in the store. read more

Xfinity and Comcast is absolutely the worst and most dishonest cable company in the U.S. Not only do they lie, they grossly overcharge you. If you contest the bill then they turn you over to collections. We now use an antenna and couldn't be happier because we get over 30 channels for free. We will never use Xfinity or Comcast ever again and neither should you. I live in Lafayette and denied Comcast access to my fenced in backyard and they called the police on me saying that I swerved toward a worker with my car as I left my driver which is lie. Told the police that they are liars and they didn't get in the backyard. Turns out in Lafayette and Boulder County that Xfinity and Comcast and their subcontractors don't own any easements on residential property and can't prove that they own easements. Do not let them on your property. read more

Too bad that we can't give a zero. You are put on hold for hours a day, and nobody seems to speak English. All they do is reset it over and over and charge you for high speed when all they offer is actually speed so slow that most sites can't be accessed. When they finally come to your house, they drill unsightly holes and have cables lying all over the roof - then it doesn't work, as usual, and you have to spend more hours trying to get an appointment. For anyone who likes socialism, this is what it is like.....without competition, they have no reason to have fair prices or half way decent service. read more

I never thought I'd be leaving a 5-star review for anything related to Comcast. As others have specified, this review is for the Boulder Comcast store only. Like many before me, I have had my share of frustrations dealing with Comcast customer service representatives via phone. In the last few months, my husband and I have been pleasantly surprised to receive outstanding service at the Boulder Comcast store on multiple occasions. We have both resolved never to call or use the Internet chat ever again--it is far more worthwhile to go to a physical location and talk to competent individuals who solve any issues you may have about five hundred times faster than anyone you might speak with on the phone. We are about to move and had transferred our services, which unfortunately meant I had to talk to someone on the phone. For nearly forty-five minutes, the representative I spoke with kept me on the line, told me I had to sign a contract to get the price I wanted, told me I had to have a technician come to our home to start the service, and told me there were no other options. Unwilling to fight it too much, I agreed. This morning, I received a call informing me that the people who used to live at my new apartment had never cancelled their service, and that I had to go to the Comcast store and show them my lease to prove that I was really going to move there. I was frustrated to receive less than 24 hours of notice, but again, I agreed to go. Within five minutes of arriving at the store, the representative had confirmed my services would be transferred, told me without me asking that we actually didn't need a professional installation, asked me if I would prefer a different package with better options, and saved me some money. If Comcast would hire more people like him (and the rest of the Boulder store employees) to work on the phones, I think their customer service approval ratings would skyrocket. read more

I'm not a big fan of Comcast in general, but I'll give credit where credit is due. This service center is an Apple Store meets a DMV. I moved to Boulder and ordered a cable TV package online. I went on a Monday at 9:30 a.m. to pickup the equipment and was greeted by an associate with an iPad who took my name and checked me in. They have tables with iPads and laptops to kill time and a plasma TV displaying your name in queue. I was called in 1 minute, waited on by a friendly associate and on my way in a total of 15 minutes. read more

Terrific service. Visited the Xfinity store on Baseline yesterday with a question on serviceability at a new apartment complex in Broomfield to which I am moving (I am now in Boulder). Wade Cotton, one of the Sales & Service Consultants, not only determined the availability of service, but reached out to Comcast's construction group to figure out when service would be available - and scheduled an installation appointment for my planned move-in date. As well as provided recommendations on services and equipment. I also needed help figuring out connections between set top box, a new Marantz 4K receiver and my older tv. Wade provided simple instructions - which I followed when I returned to my apartment. Worked first time without an issue. Thank you Wade for great customer service! read more

Not an endorsement of Comcast as a company, but this individual store has always had great service. I've gone in multiple times to set up service and upgrade my equipment, and it has always been quick and the employees are friendly and helpful. They were more than willing to work with me to get a better rate when I was thinking about cancelling my service. Don't waste your time calling Comcast or doing online chat, just go in and talk to them in person here and they'll probably be able to fix your problem. read more

Honestly, four stars for the service at this specific location, but minus one due to Comcast's general customer service and my encounters with them elsewhere during my time in Boulder. When I signed up here, I didn't wait too long, although the general ambiance was very similar to the DMV. The guy got all my equipment figured out and I was out the door within 45 minutes of entering. Same goes for when I disconnected my service. In and out within 30 minutes that time. I guess that's the key, going in person versus waiting on the phone. Just go in and free yourself from tyranny, its a beautiful feeling. Good staff, absolutely insanely evil company. read more

Great experience going in to cancel my service! Handed in my internet box and canceled my service in less than 2 minutes. I definitely got lucky not having anyone in line ahead of me. I fully expected to get a hard sell to keep my service but was very surprised when the rep just scanned my equipment and had me sign a receipt for it. Could it be too good to be true? Of course I forgot the darn cable TV box so I still have to go back to cancel that. Maybe they are saving up some hassle for that.... read more

Comcast apparently can legally lie and withhold information/fees regarding services you are signing up for. Once you find these additional charges and try to talk to someone they will be more than happy to explain exactly how and why these charges are new to your knowledge and how they aren't going anywhere. By the Comcast employees body language and knowledge on these complaints it seems like she deals with this issue multiple times a day. I'm a brand new Comcast customer, so I'm sure that has something to do with my experience. First of all, I wanted internet that actually worked, not just kind of sputtered by...so I switched to Comcast from Century Link. When I walked in I had 2 options of folks to sign up with. One was a grumpy guy that seemed like he hated his life and a nice little hispanic lady. I chose to not go to grumpy McGee. One of the best customer experiences I've ever had. She was ultra nice and sweet and clearly cared about me getting exactly what I wanted. This may change if I ever have problems with my service, but as of now I am a fan. read more

I finally got fed up with the techs and their lack of knowledge and communication skills - whenever they arrived to update or fix anything it never worked again. Apparently they need training or retraining. The service is way to expensive to deal with shady service. The company needs major improvement. read more

The Xfinity store is nice but very crowded on the weekends. I had to wait about 30 minutes this past Saturday. Also the store is about a 20 min drive from home. Back in the day Comcast use to have many more local stores, but those have been replaced by larger showrooms with fewer stores. Overall I think Xfinity's customer service has greatly improved. They are finally catching on that I it's all about customer service. If you are going to charge a premium price you better treat customers better!!! read more

This is the very first one star review I have ever given a business. On two visits to this store, I was provided two different prices on the same services. The clerk who spoke with me the second time changed prices on my quote twice. She was unwilling to ask the clerk who provided me with a lower quote two weeks ago (he happened to be standing within a few feet of her) if there was something he had determined that she was missing. On both occasions when at this store I found the staff to be condescending and unhelpful. Besides being inconsistent, they were rude especially when they found out I was there to downgrade my service. When a customer is provided different quotes which translate to hundreds of dollars in costs per year, something is horrible amiss. I am in the process of choosing between Dish and Direct TV at this point. I would never waste my time going to the Boulder store. They are beyond horrific. read more

I was SOOOOO frustrated from the Google map on the site! It placed the location on 29th and Canyon area. I followed it to the exact loco and NOTHING.I have been in Boulder area for 30yrs and couldn't believe it wasn't there on the map! I called the CS # and they said it's on 29th and Baseline. I drove right to it. I was so angry that I had spent 30mins of my day off driving in circles that I went in to rip into these guys! I was pissed I had to wait in line to get to them! I finally got someone named Taylor to help me. I said "I'm not at all an angry person but......." He said "I know. I know. Google wont change the map but how may I help you?" Then he proceeded to give GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! So INFORMATIVE! SO HELPFUL! SO EFFICIENT! So easy to deal with. VERY HELPFUL!! Taylor was AWESOME! read more

The cable usually works fine, the phone is fine, the internet is fast. But, Comcast repeatedly finds ways to charge a couple extra bucks and make it so maddening to get it back that it isn't worth the time and effort: 1. Send you a "home security package" neither desired nor ordered, but make it impossible to get any credit for the time the box sat around in the garage before you realized that they had snuck a monthly charge on your bill. 2. Charge $10 a month rent for a modem long since returned (and replaced with a modem purchased from Amazon), and then pretend they are doing you a favor refunding half of the improper charges. If we had a competitive offering available that was anywhere near as good, I'd switch in a heartbeat. Unfortunately Comcast has a monopoly in my area on package deals. read more

The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the people working at this location are very friendly and helpful...but Comcast repeatedly overcharges me, they add things that hey shouldn't add to my bill, I have to spend hours on the phone to resolve, and then a month later it happens again. Tylor Sandavol provided exceptional service and resolved my issue in the best possible manner with the best possible solution. While waiting to be helped--only a short wait- I heard another employee assisting a handicapped woman in a patient non patronizing manner. When I returned my equipment, the representative said he was unable to give me a receipt for a business modem and promised with a hand shake to get it to the correct warehouse. Well, no surprise, it never happened and now I am being held accountable even though he refused to give me a receipt. In hind site, I will always take a picture of the product returned and a picture of the person taking the product. Even a video of them telling me the lies to steal the modem and never return it. Thieves, just plain thieves work at Comcast! Too bad we are limited on our options. I keep disconnect my services with them, but the contracts loop me in, then I get it disconnected, they don't seem to receive the paperwork, demand payment and now have "lost' the modem... how convenient! read more
