Oh my gosh, whatever you do Buyer beware, this company is such a scam. By the time the highly recommended best guy on staff - gets to my house - it is really too late to even troubleshoot anyones issues, as it was just about 4:30PM. As I was told all day by text that he's running late but he will be there when finishing a job. All of us our told we can't give you an estimate on anything but we charge by the hour & minutes as it took 35 minutes for the Tech to even get a semi diagnosis so there was not much time left to really fix my issues, as he kept stating over & over. I was charged 447.00 to get my tv programming coordinated with my Tivo, Blue Ray, & my TV & to check my attic antenna. The worse thing about it is as My husband gets home from work about 1hour later and he said it wasn't even working right. I have to leave the room to get my husbands things in order & dinner. I then was told while no longer watching closely & righting down all to remember as not shown what he did to confirm with me but instead he was ready to leave but first the bill & he claimed everything is in working order. When I was told how much - I about fell over. So here it is next day as I had a dental appointment and by the time I sat down to check his work- it was Just As Messed Up as before he worked on it. For One complete hour of time to fix all those issues to really be fixed -WOULDN'T ANYONE feel buyers remorse for one hour of work plus 30 minutes of diagnostic work with a job that you find out in no way should I have been coaxed into this. But when the BAIT & SWITCH IS SET AND DONE- YOU BECOME A VICTIM EVERY TIME. As a consumer- we are all exposed to companies that try to sell you something that will be so great & done so well and on completion you are severely overcharged for SOMETHING UNDONE & UNDERGOOD. Streamwise just "cut the Xfinity cord" for us and Juan, the technician, did a fantastic job of dismantling Xfinity and installing YouTube TV and Frndly Tv. We have a tall 4 story townhouse and Wi-Fi signal would not work well even with a 3 point mesh. I decided to cut the cord several years ago and foolishly thought I could install an outdoor antenna and do the wiring. What a mistake. For several years, I have suffered with poor TV reception. In general, I was happy with the service provided. I was looking for an antenna installation that would provide access to the four major networks, Fox, CBS, ABC, and NBC. I think that Brian may have oversold my ability to receive these networks over the phone, after checking my address, which I understood to be a guarantee after our conversation and it would just depend on the type of antenna I needed. As it turned out, I am in a pretty mountainous area and even with the upgraded antenna they installed, I probably get two network channels, three at the most. But the reception is much better than the antenna I used to have, and it is nice to get some free channels over the air (close to 50 in fact). Brian was also helpful in explaining some other options I have for increased channel reception down the road. We are moving our business home in a few months and needed upgraded Internet service. In addition, we wanted to "cut the cord" and stop paying Xfinity for a lot of channels we never watch. I have been wanting to 'cut the cord' for a long time now and I just wasn't sure because I was used to my DVR, and watching my shows around my schedule. For years with DirecTV, I primarliy watched only the local networks and was paying way too much. I found this company online, gave them a call, talked to Brian who was very helpful and I found out I could save money and still have DVR capability. Win / Win situation! I chose my equipment, and the installer Mario came out to my home and installed an antenna in our attic (no more ugly satellite dish on the side of my house), hooked up the TV's and showed me how to use everything. Why didin't I know about these guys sooner? $500.00 is a lot to pay, but I could no way have cut the cable without help. (Like most people, I am not savvy in matters of networking and WiFi.) However, I had no way of knowing the troubles I was about to experience and I will never be able to recoup the costs. I struggled for 6 months following installation, and ended up spending $630.00 in additional tech support and equipment before I was able to keep all my devices connected to the network. My original modem was insufficient to handle the load, and I had asked if I needed to purchase new equipment on the initial installation visit. All my trouble and frustration could have been avoided if I had only been told that I needed a new modem/router, which I ended up buying anyway. I sent a message to Streamwise asking simply if someone could connect and install my new modem and router, but that message was disregarded and I had to find someone else to help me. I posted a review, and within 1 hour, was contacted by Brian, the company owner. He apologized and offered to buy back the extender that I had been sold. However, I had since given the pucks away and am truing to retrieve them. So much money and trouble, just to get streaming. I will never recoup the money in my lifetime. I am sad that it took a negative review to get the attention I deserve as a paying customer. As a senior, however, I also understand completely that "customer service" today is not what I had been accustomed to in my lifetime. Brian did seem sincere in his apology and offered to be there for me in the future, so I upped the number of stars from 1 to 3, which is the most I can do given the cost and trouble I have had to experience. If you use this company, my advice is to make sure your modem is sufficient to handle all your devices with the added one of streaming to a TV. read more

Setting up an internet streaming service isn't that difficult, but doing it right does take time to get the right system. Plus, there is always something that doesn't go right, which then takes several hours trying to figure out. StreamWise is a huge time saver and leaves you confident the switch was done right, and your streaming services are the right ones for you. StreamWise provided the initial consulting service to make sure we had the ideal streaming service for our needs. They made sure we had the enough internet speed to run system and improved our in-house coverage. They set the streaming service up on two TVs and set system to work perfectly with one remote on each TV that also controls the sound bars. But StreamWise can also help in other areas - we have a hard-wired and cable system in our house, but prior owners disabled. StreamWise fixed the system so we could use again. Could I have done all this myself, yes - but it would have taken me time to set all this up and I never would have been confident it was ideal. His installer Mario came out and installed an antenna in our attic and we have the basic channels we want with perfect HD quality. We also got the DVR service as well as internet service. Everything has worked so well! The only service we add is Sling on occasion which can be turned on and off anytime. Basically, when Sling is turned off, we get our basic free channels and anything we want via Amazon Prime. No monthly cable bill. My only regret is that we did not call Brian and team sooner! Brian is fantastic and the service he provides is just as good! I used him to help build a custom home theater PC (HTPC). I still haven't cut the cord completely and do have some basic cable channels. Brian built the computer in just a couple days after asking me exactly what I was looking for. The computer was shipped out and delivered quickly. He included a TV tuner card that didn't quite work with my system. I contacted him about and he worked quickly to suggest a new one and refunded the price difference. Once I received the computer, he was available at all times to walk me through all the features. I've never waited more than a day for him to respond. I've had the computer for 4 months now and watching TV on this thing is fantastic. I've looked at SmartTV's, but nothing compares to what Brian was able to do for a fraction of the price. read more

Our Journey towards Cord-Cutting/NO MORE CABLE! (Sorry for the long post, but I love saving money and beating the 'system' so wanted to share how we did it)! For a couple of years I've been wanting to get out from under the high and ever-increasing prices of cable TV. We had a triple bundling of services with Comcast for many years, but every 6-12 months the rates would go up - often a lot - and lengthy phone calls and negotiations would ensue to get the price down $20-30 - for another 6 months. Another thing that kept us with cable is our love of sports - all kinds of sports. Things have changed in the past few years, and numerous streaming services offer great sports packages (SlingTV, Directv now, etc..). But the complexity of setting up an antenna, some type of recording device, getting streaming services and figuring out how to set it all up and make it work together was a bit overwhelming. I'm pretty tech savvy, but this seemed like a pretty daunting task. Enter FreeTvee! (https://freetvee.com/)! I had heard about them from my brother, who'd seen a piece on them on Channel 7. I finally contacted them, and after talking through the options, scheduled them to come out and install an antenna, a TIVO, and get us all set with the new way to watch TV. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND their services. Their website is great - lists all their services and the prices; they have recommendations for TVs, routers, modems, etc.. Everyone we dealt with was great! Two of their awesome employees were at our house for 5 hours in December; set up a great HD antenna (climbing all around our attic:), a TIVO box, and got us educated on our new way to enjoy TV! There is an up-front investment (in our case about $800) but we started saving over $100/month right away! The GOOD - We watch TV more mindfully now - with 100s of cable channels it was easy to mindlessly scroll. The antenna brings in all the national networks and a lot more (they'll help you select which channels you want to have on the list), and the streaming services offer ESPN, HGTV, Food Nework, AMC, etc.., but it's a more select list and so you plan better what to watch. We've loved our TIVO for recording shows like Designated Survivor and Last Man Standing. We really like SlingTV for streaming the channels like ESPN and Food Network. SlingTV Orange is $25/month; you can cancel anytime, switch to SlingTV Blue (different group of channels), combine them, add various packages for $5/month (like a sports package that includes Pac12) that you also can cancel anytime. NO CONTRACTS! Many of the streaming services now also offer a 'Cloud DVR' service to record shows that are streamed! The Not So Good - Recording streamed TV does take some extra steps; it wasn't available at all until recently, so it's just going to get easier and more accessible. (Some channels on SlingTV have several episodes of certain shows to choose from, so recording isn't always necessary). You'll need to have a TIVO or similar device to have a on-screen 'guide' for the antenna channels. You do have to re-learn how you watch TV - not a big deal, but there is a bit of a learning curve. THE ROCKIES games are NOT streamed on any service! We have MLB TV (thanks to TMobile) but this was the biggest negative for us. However, I just figured out how to get around this with Overplay Smart DNS and now we can see all the Rockies games! Other Notes - after going with Freetvee I realized our wireless speed was very slow in some parts of the house; the TV in our basement wasn't even able to stream (though it is hooked to the antenna so we could watch network shows). So using some of the recommendations on Freetvee, I got a new modem, a new router, AND an 'Ooma' device to set up my own internet phone. Fast speeds throughout the house now! No more renting a sub-par modem/router from Comcast! And the phone bill is about $5/month for 911/taxes. The ONLY thing we now pay Comcast for is our Internet - and I got a 1-year deal for $49.95!! Our previous Comcast bill was over $200/month for the bundle! read more

My only regret was not calling sooner. Total saving is about $120 a month for us. They are knowledgeable in their field. They came in, made sure that all devices were synced and working, even my audio equipment connected to my TV. Also, we could not get Amazon Video to work in our bedroom, that problem went away with their help. If you are subscribing to cable, calling these guys is a no brainer. Finally reached a live person (Brian) set up an appointment and Gavin showed up right on time. Sorted out our issue by replacing an old attic antenna and setting up a Roku. I checked out freeTVEE and it all looked legit. Then I had them come to my house and do an antenna install. Everything was great... as advertised. These guys deliver 100% in every way. Bruce showed up right when scheduled, was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. He has lots of experience in Denver knowing where and how to place a rooftop antenna for maximum signal strength and was able to find a powerful signal for us right away. We are tying our broadcast TV signal into a fairly complex home entertainment system and Bruce went out of his way to provide me advice on the best way to do that and what other equipment I might need.
