I would not recommend this company. They charged my account before the technician arrived. The tech was supposed to arrive on Monday and never showed up. I contacted Hello Tech to find out where my tech was. Got a lame excuse. Then they told me the tech would be there the next day at 1PM and would contact me prior to arriving. at 12:40 I called because I had not heard from the tech. He then texted me and said the appt was at 5 pm. Each time you call, they as for your name, address, telephone number and email address. Today I called to get a receipt to get reimbursed by my company and they are now saying I gave them the wrong email address. Absolutely ridiculous! They emailed me a few times and I received their emails. Now they have no record of me. Needless to say, they have no record of my account albeit, they charged my account $100. They didn't try to help at all, just kept repeating that they don't have my email address on file. If you need the headache, then deal with them. I personally will call someone else in the future! We reached out to HelloTech, was told another Tech would follow up to review the issue. After waiting several hours, we never heard from HelloTech. I called to have it cancelled and went online under the my account link to do the same. It was cancelled based on the both. They charged me again the next month. I called again and visited the web site again. They changed the web site so that it couldn't be cancelled. When I called they said I could cancel but needed to pay them for the rest of year. I genuinely have never left a bad review in my life so this is incredibly disappointing but feels necessary. I hired HelloTech to mount a TV. After spending $350 dollars, it fell off within two hours. It left a pretty sizable hole in the wall. Luckily, I was there to catch it before it damaged the wall or TV more (though my foot took the brunt of the fall). I sent in a damage claim but haven't heard back. I have spent hours reaching out via the phone, email, and chat. Can't get through. I responded to the feedback texts and emails that they have sent me but they go radio silent the second I mention the damage claim. I would not recommend HelloTech to anyone. read more

Appreciate your response. Hello Tech and other companies need to be more transparent about subscription services. These services don't always serve the public well and if identified that a customer wasn't aware or no longer wants the service the company needs to act quickly to remove and or refund. Your people seem to be taught to put up a barrier to excellence in customer service and client retention by being told to not remove the service and continue to charge the client going forward and with a potential refund. Instead told to just say that the auto renew for next year will end but the charges for the year ahead will continue. Additionally, to state that the supervisor will just say the same thing as they just told you is outrageous. You've already lost me and others buy your policy and teachings. The person who came out was very nice, but didn't seem properly trained to install the alarm. When I came downstairs the day after the installation, one glass break sensor was on the ground. That next day, two window sensors fell off. One week later, another window sensor fell off. I found out from the alarm company, that he installed the glass break sensors in the wrong place. The installer didn't follow the directions on installing the window sensors and that's why they're not staying put on the windows. When I called HelloTech, the lady who answered told me I should contact the alarm company. She didn't want to do anything about their improper installation. When I asked to talk to someone else, she put me on hold for at least ten minutes, then I got disconnected. The techs don't seem to work for HelloTech, it seems that they out source the work and that's why they don't give you a date and time when someone can come out to do your work when you call to schedule an appointment. read more

I attempted to have HelloTech come to my home to diagnose a problem with my home theater system. Tech #1 could not make his scheduled appt. Had to reschedule. Day 2: Tech #2 did not show up for his appt. Called him and he said he didn't have the job in his records. Tech #3 called and wanted to come right out. I asked if he was well-versed in home theater. He acted offended and said now he would not take the job. (I'm pretty sure he didn't know home theater very well.) Tech #4 was scheduled for 6 pm. I had had enough. I canceled the appt. immediately and was hit with a $25 cancellation fee!! -- later canceled by a supervisor. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. All their employees are freelancers who "choose" to take jobs. We used HelloTech to set up a computer at our business last May. Not only was the transfer of information from our other computer not done correctly (missing lots of information) but we realized we were mistakenly signed up for recurring monthly payments of $19.99 per month. It's now been 7 months and they've received an additional $140 for ZERO service calls. When I called to see if we could please cancel this, as we just sold the business to a new owner, they were extremely unhelpful and not at all understanding (specifically the girl in the membership department). We are being forced to pay an additional 4 months, as they refuse to cancel it before a year commitment. As a business owner, I always work with customers, especially when it comes to specific circumstances like this one. I would never handle this situation as they did. It was a no show; when I told them at 5:00 that no one came, I was asked if I would like to give another try the following day. I said that I expected to be home from 10:00-5:00, giving ample time for scheduling. After texting that they would update me with a time, I heard nothing. I was home from 10-5. I heard nothing at all; no one arrived. At 5:00, I texted that I would not be making any further requests and to scratch my credit card from their files. I tried geek squad but they had a 2 week wait so then I tried this company called hello tech cuz they had something the next day. So I try them out and the tv mounter drills into a water line and water starts shooting out the wall!! ( this I a commercial business suite that I'm supposed to start working at). They flooded my room and the room next to me, destroying this girls $150 floor mat smh. I mean there was water everywhere!!!! Sam is very professional. We have had him as a tech previously for other electronic projects around the house and he has always done an excellent job. He connected our Nest Smoke Detectors throughout our house and connected the Detectors to the app on our iPhones and iPads. Complete scam. Justin contacted me to set up mounting 2 televisions and setting up my audio. He talked with me for about 30 minutes about everything that needed to be done and sent me a quote for $400. The appointment was set up for this morning at 8AM (I have the e-mail confirmations). At 8:45AM, I called and texted Justin with no response. Then I called the 800 number and was told that Justin couldn't make the appointment and that they'd try to get someone else out to my house. Keep in mind, I took half a day off work to get this done. Another technician just called me and said it would be Friday before he could come out. Why did no one contact me to tell me?
