If I could, I would give higher than 5 stars. Matthew is extremely knowledgeable, patient, professional and has very fair pricing. But beyond him being a computer professional, he is a kind and caring human being. He helped me during a difficult time of loss and was always understanding and sensitive to what I was going through. He went above and beyond when helping me with my computer issues. read more

I thought I could change the laptop battery myself, but after reviewing the 28 step process on YouTube I thought, no. The service was efficient, professional, kind and affordable! I will be back. read more

Average Joe computer was absolutely spot on and very helpful. My laptop frame had broken, took it in a flawless experience.

Great service! Matthew was very knowledgeable and personable. I brought my computer in, explained the problem and got it back the same day fixed and running great. I will definitely be coming back for future upgrades and any other service issues I may have. read more

He was great, so easy to talk to and very responsive. He had me back up and running same day!

They fixed my laptop the same day that I brought it in. In contrast, Action Computers was going to keep it for 2 weeks before even looking at it. Fair pricing too. read more

Wonderful service! I was honestly surprised that it was so easy. As my husband was calling Best Buy, I found Matt on Yelp and while he was on hold Matt diagnosed the problem and walked me through fixing it. I finished and my husband was still yelling, "I just want to talk to a human." Made my day - I plan to take the computer in for a complete checkup. read more

Great service, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was fixed with my issue.

Matthew at Average Joe's is super knowledgeable, professional and timely. He rapidly diagnosed two of my laptops and was able to turn around a software a fix in just hours. He is also more than capable at hardware fixes. I appreciate that he gave me several options and listened to what my priorities and desires were. I would not hesitate to use this business again. He also does sales of components and full computers, new and used. Check it out! read more

He showed up on time, did great job and was friendly through-out the process. I will be looking for him again when I need to upgrade again.

Last night, the drivers for picking up wifi died on my computer. I brought it to Matthew at 9:45 am. At 10:30 AM, my computer was fixed! Fantastic service and I now have a computer repair expert I can go to! Be sure to support small local businesses! read more

Matt was excellent! I brought my computer in and explained my issues. I told him that if he couldn't fix it, I'd buy a computer from him because I trusted his expertise. He assured me that he thought he could fix my problem. Not only did he fix it, it was done by EOD and it now runs better than ever. His prices are more than reasonable for the care and service he provided. I am so thankful I went in and will definitely be back. read more

Had a precious gaming monitor that was giving me issues when connecting to an input source. Many businesses I called would immediately respond with "We don't work on monitors". On a weekend, I sent a message to this business and immediately got a reply. In the message, they mentioned how it wouldn't be in my best interest to get it serviced (price to repair is more expensive than just buying a new one), but could give a diagnosis during store hours. Once I did call and gave the product information, they walked through exactly how much it'd cost to repair it, why it was broken, how they would've fixed it, and their recommended next steps (getting a new monitor). I extremely appreciate this company giving so much help for free. I fully trust them for any potential issue I may have in the future! read more

As the 60th person to review Average Joe Computer Services, I am in full agreement with the 5 Star Reviews of the previous 59 that were submitted. Matt is highly skilled and a true pleasure to work with. He did my data transfer from my old to my new laptop - and it was flawless! Everything was there as well as the look and feel. I highly recommend AJCS to anyone who wants to fix their computer the right way the first time. Matt is just fabulous! read more

Knowledgeable, quick, has good suggestions. Knew right away what my issue was and how to fix it.

I submitted a request to fix a problem on my laptop. Matthew responded immediately, and based on his knowledge of my laptop, suggested a solution over the phone that did not include bringing the computer in. Grateful to Mathew. Average Joe will be my "Go-To" for all needs I have going forward. read more

Excellent service. Explained things in a way I could understand. Quick to respond to my inquiry.

My laptop died on Sunday. I called Matthew (having found his business on an internet search of pc repair places near me) around 10 am on Monday. He diagnosed the problem over the phone, I took the laptop in and at 1 pm I picked it up in full working order. I was impressed by the number of 5* reviews he had in Yelp (though reserving a tiny bit of scepticim - could they all be true?). But, yes, everything people have said about him and his business is true! Very straightforward on the diagnosis, his charges are reasonable and clear, he's happy to answer questions and suggest additional things that may help without pressing you to buy. He will be my go to guy now for any future computer problems. read more

Did a great job diagnosing and fixing my daughter' s laptop. I will definitely go there again

My computer's PSU (power supply unit) died on NYE 2020. The final cherry on this fantastic year.... Looking up solutions I found Average Joe's a mile away on a quick google search into yelp reviews and they don't lie! I requested a quote via Yelp before heading over in the morning and was immediately recognized when I walked through the door. Computer was diagnosed within the hour, and I was offered options on new PSUs and pricepoints. PSU was replaced and was ready to be picked up by lunch. Thank you Average Joes for starting me off 2021 with a working computer. Exceptional service with a smile (under the mask!) read more

I went here in the last few days to get a fan and heat sink replaced on my new-ish laptop. Matt diagnosed the problem over the phone and ordered the part. A few days later, I took it to his shop and he replaced the items within a few hours. I'll definitely be back if I run into any other problems. He was really nice, professional and competent. read more

My laptop had an issue with the hinge, which meant it was a non-essential issue that I didn't have the time to get looked at until my life and workflow had already settled around the inconvenient position it put me in. I was surprised by how quickly Matt replied to my message for an estimate, he was practical and polite over the phone, and he was pleasantly swift to get us on the same page for the parts needed. When it turned out that he couldn't order the part immediately, he proposed several other solutions too (even ones that possibly meant taking my business elsewhere). That, among other things, convinced me that he would have my best interests in mind at all times. When I decided to stick with Matt, long story short, I ended up practically getting a brand-new computer with none of the set-up hassle and a much lower price. The entire process was quick, transparent, welcoming, and painless. If I ever have computer problems again, I'll definitely make the drive to have it checked out with him. read more

True confessions: I am not a techie. Nor do I want to be one. I don't have the attention span or the brain capacity to understand computers or what they do or how they do it. Which is exactly why I am so thankful for tech geniuses like Matt at Average Joe's. He is like an advocate for those of us who are completely computer illiterate. He helped us transition from an obsolete dinosaur of a laptop to a newly refurbished updated model quickly and painlessly. And although my computer skills are less than stellar, I have complete confidence that Matt has my back in the event that I crash the darn thing! read more

I would highly recommend Average Joe Computer Services. Matthew is extremely knowledgeable, and explains everything that he is doing in laymens terms for us who really don't understand what happens inside our computers. Matthew took a look at my slooooow running computer. He cleaned up my system, it is now running super fast. Best of all he offers a quick turn around time, and keeps you in the loop as to what he's doing. 5 stars across the board. read more

Responded right away and took time to explain some options I had after I screwed up big time.

Years ago, I went to him with a MAC. Mitch doesn't repair Apple but he referred me to someone that he thought might be able to help. So, when my Dell wouldn't charge I went back to Mitch. He had a few questions over the phone to troubleshoot the issue, quickly determined if he had the parts on hand while on the phone, and gave me an estimate based on what he thought might fix the issue. It turned out to be less of a problem than he anticipated and was able to fix my charge port the same day....actually in a few hours. Mitch is good. GIve him a call. read more

Average Joe was a terrific at helping us with a computer issue. Our older computer had effectively died and he was able to pull off important information for us off the hard drive and provide us a new external hard drive which was exactly what we needed. And he did all of this for for a reasonable price and did it quite quickly. Much appreciated! Thank Mathew! read more

Matthew was incredibly helpful and overall fantastic. My cat had damaged my laptop, and he did an excellent job with the repair. Additionally, I had been meaning to get a new laptop and desktop as mine were outdated and running slowly. Matthew suggested just upgrading the ones I had for a fraction of the cost. I now have a near-new laptop and desktop for much less money and am super happy with how they are running. Matthew was great about providing flexible solutions to my specific issues, which I really appreciated. He is very nice, fair, and competent, and would highly recommend him at Average Joe's Computer Services! read more

If there was an option for more than 5 stars, I'd say YES. Matthew is awesome with his knowledge, skills, and people oriented business. At the risk of using too many superlatives to describe my experiences over the years, I'll take that risk. I am a self-admitted computer dummy, but Matthew never makes me feel dumb. He is extremely patient with my questions and speaks in easy to understand responses that actually make sense to me. So thanks tremendously for all you have done over the years. Prices are more than fair and reasonable, and Matthew is always willing and able to take phone calls with questions that arise. I took my laptop in for a new version of Outlook and Matthew made suggestions on upgrades that would make my computer experiences more pleasant and efficient. Service was quick (one day with all that was done) and reasonably priced. Kudos to Matthew and Average Joe's. This business is way beyond 'average'. I highly recommend Matthew and his excellent service. Thanks again, Matthew. You're the best! read more
