Had a precious gaming monitor that was giving me issues when connecting to an input source. Many businesses I called would immediately respond with "We don't work on monitors". On a weekend, I sent a message to this business and immediately got a reply. In the message, they mentioned how it wouldn't be in my best interest to get it serviced (price to repair is more expensive than just buying a new one), but could give a diagnosis during store hours. Once I did call and gave the product information, they walked through exactly how much it'd cost to repair it, why it was broken, how they would've fixed it, and their recommended next steps (getting a new monitor). He diagnosed the problem over the phone, I took the laptop in and at 1 pm I picked it up in full working order. I was impressed by the number of 5* reviews he had in Yelp (though reserving a tiny bit of scepticim - could they all be true?). My computer's PSU (power supply unit) died on NYE 2020. The final cherry on this fantastic year.... My laptop had an issue with the hinge, which meant it was a non-essential issue that I didn't have the time to get looked at until my life and workflow had already settled around the inconvenient position it put me in. Years ago, I went to him with a MAC. Mitch doesn't repair Apple but he referred me to someone that he thought might be able to help. So, when my Dell wouldn't charge I went back to Mitch. He had a few questions over the phone to troubleshoot the issue, quickly determined if he had the parts on hand while on the phone, and gave me an estimate based on what he thought might fix the issue. Matthew was incredibly helpful and overall fantastic. My cat had damaged my laptop, and he did an excellent job with the repair. Additionally, I had been meaning to get a new laptop and desktop as mine were outdated and running slowly. Matthew suggested just upgrading the ones I had for a fraction of the cost.
