I had a small electronic device and Kevin was very helpful and took the time to diagnose the problem based on what I told him had happened to it. After he did some testing on it, he then called the manufacturer of the device, later, we determined that the part that needed to be changed was proprietary. My Samsung plasma took a nose dive. I researched and had it narrowed down to the Y-sustain board. I ordered the parts online, installed the board aaand...nothing. Being that I ordered online, there was zero tech support as to what direction to go next. I headed over Electronica on Colfax. Bill spent time checking the board I purchased elsewhere and my old board. I had also brought my power supply board, he checked that too. I didn't bring the x-board with me as I thought it was for sound, Bill told me I should have brought that too. He spent about 20 minutes checking my boards. I asked him what I owed and he said "don't worry about it" I headed back the next day with the final board in hand. He checked that and said it seemed good. I asked well, what next?? He says "it's hard to tell. Why don't you buy a power supply and if that's not it, bring it back" an option I didn't have with the online purchase. I paid a little more than the cheapest price I could find online but the honesty and personal service I received made it a huge bargain. Very disappointed with the customer service. I ordered a main board for a Samsung Plasma online through Electronica. Not only did the main board not solve my problem (fried hdmi ports), it made the things worse. The new main board would not even allow a picture to appear on the tv. I filed what they call an RMA (I assume this means Return Merchandise Authorization) and received instructions via email on how to return the main board in it's original packaging and with a copy of the email outlining the process and the appropriate reference numbers. Absolutely no mention was made of sending the package back FedEx, UPS, Priority, certified, or otherwise. In fact, after paying for the original shipping and handling, I also paid for the return shipping. I was not reimbursed for the defective main board. Every time I have called to discuss the matter Bill Poulus has been extremely rude and has refused to reimburse me the money for the defective main board. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed in the lack of service and professionalism. I share my story as a warning to others to stay away from Electonica. Find another, more legitimate business to support your electronic needs. read more
