Ok, so first of all I am far from a computer/PC person that is my wife's dept. But I do buy her ,her computers ,and tablets ,and accessories. I try and do the research the best I can and try to get the most bang for the buck when buying such devices. But that ram,memory, gigs is really all a bunch of stuff I dont understand and usually have to ask friends and coworkers for thier advice and really on Google. But one thing I will tell you is this place has came up in conversation I've had with places like Office depot, Staples and Best Buy, in the last couple of years. So we were in need of a stand for my wife's 3d printer and really didn't want to wait for one online. Even though it was on the other side of town from where we live I felt it was worth the drive to check it out. It is located off of S. 225 and past Parker Rd sorry I cant remember the exit. But if you live south you'll know the area. When we pulled in the parking lot we could already see the large amount of foot traffic walking up to the store. And when we walked in it was like Wow ,ok so this is what they've been talking about. I couldn't even tell you how many aisles they are. But I will keep this some what short. If you need something for a computer and I don't think it matters what kind they probably have it here! I saw brands that are common in the laptop section, acer, hp,apple and the such. Numerous departments/ sections. Television, gaming, home security/security, byo computer, parts and so much more that wouldn't even know what I was looking at. And there seemed to be plenty of associates able and willing to help you. And as far as thier returns policy we explained our problem we were having with my wife's 3d printer as we were trying to set it up as a birthday present i got her and it wouldn't work and the associate told us to bring it back and we'll give you another one, unfortunately I didn't buy it there and will probably have to wait for one to be Shipped to us. So to try and cut to the chase if you are really into this kind of thing this is your place sure the regular stores will get you any of your everyday stuff but if you want to really get into the specifics and specialty items ,this is your store. This is so unfortunate, as an avid pc enthusiast, I absolutely loved this place. But after years of trying to convince my husband to let me build him a pc, he finally agreed. So I came here to buy a B850, Ryzen 7 9800x3d, and 32gb Vengeance DDR5 RAM bundle. I took the X3D for my own pc, and gave him my 7900x for the computer I was building him. Long story short, the B850 had a voltage issue that took a while to diagnose, that ultimately fried 2 DDR5 (yes 1k in ram) kits including the vengeance that came with the bundle, AND the memory controller in my 7900x. I had to replace multiple ram kits, a motherboard, and a cpu. Micro Center burned about $1700, not including the price of the original bundle, that I only got an x3d cpu out of. And guess what? I'm outside of their little 15 day return window, so we're just royally piped up the rear. I will never, ever be back. read more

They have the same things as Best Buy and then some. Cons: if you don't want to be hounded by reps chasing commission checks this isn't it. If you don't fit the demography mold you will be followed and shown that Reps do not say excuse me and have no manners whether it be literally moving you or bumping into you there eyes are solely for the person they are helping and not other customers Reps can be rude and disrespectful of the build you are wanting to do and steer you towards the high end stuff. I just had a pleasant experience with this business today and I'm compelled to write about it. I went here because I needed to buy a replacement mouse for my (a company loaner) home desktop computer. Since I didn't have time for them to send me a new one in the mail, my aim was to rush to here and buy me a cheap/basic one so I could complete my work for the day (and going forward.) The last time I utilized this business was when the COVID restrictions were heavily in place. I stood in line outside to get inside the store as they were only allowing certain number of people in the store at a time. Wow, it's been that long?? I brought my broken mouse with me just in case so I could compare it to what I may want to buy. The store, as I could still freshly remember from the last time, was clean and well organized. Rows of computer gadgets overwhelmed me but a kind associate pointed me to the right direction to what I was looking for. Prompt attention to serve the customer was noticed. What a great start! Mouse selection was quite the size. I took the time to browse first as to what would truly meet my needs. I'm an old school. I definitely wanted a mouse with a cord (ha ha!) Something basic and yet the design of it must be sleek. I also wanted a black one (there was no need to get me a white one as human fingers are quite dirty! Like others. I do all kinds of eating at my desk!) I set my eyes on the logitech G203 (black) at the price tag of $29.99. The box says it's suited for gaming and yet its simple looks say otherwise for someone like me who is not into gaming. As I approached the checkout line, I was immediately served by an extremely friendly staff, Emilio F. He said a peppy hello to welcome me. I asked him about the quality of the mouse I had picked. He said it's not super fancy or high tech but does do its job well. He didn't fail to mention to me about the warranty the store offers to which I said no this time (for two-year warranty, it was about $5.) Once paid, he sent me off with a nice "Enjoy your new mouse!" I almost walked out of the store without taking photos of the store but I turned around and snapped a few photos of the mouse section and the checkout area. They also have a much better deal on insurance for tech than anywhere else and they fully honor it. They have staff that is knowledgeable of the tech with solid recommendations and information you will benefit from. They have a whole desktop building area where you can pick whatever you need that fits your tech specs or budget and they absolutely will help you. While AMD is covering the replacement under warranty, Micro Center would not make any accommodation on labor to install the replacement, even given the circumstances and purchase history. I've been waiting for more than one hour online for someone to answer the phone. My brother recommended this place. I bought a new computer at a fair price but made the mistake of having them do the data transfer from my old computer. Not only did they take more than the 24-48 hours to do that, the computer I received will not accept my old password. Obviously, their tech entered a new password and didn't tell me what it is. THIS is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. If I don't resolve soon, I will return the machine and start over. Rediculously bad service. No compassion. Nothing. I brought my fully functional PC into Micro Center Denver for a simple fan replacement on my water cooler. Based on a staff recommendation, I agreed to replace the entire unit. They promised it by "no later than 6 PM". And they supposed (according to the website) have Same Day Service as long as it it brought in 4 hours before close (it was brought in before 4 - the store closes at 9). At 6:03, I received a vague text stating they were having issues installing the new heatsink due to "missing parts" and "bent pins," and asking whether the computer worked when I brought it in. I replied that my system was fully functional and that I was still waiting in the store if they needed to speak with me - but I received no further communication for over an hour. Eventually, I was told the technician had left for the day and no one else was available to assist me. They tried to return my system in pieces. I insisted they reassemble it, which they did - after another long wait. I didn't leave the store until after 8:30 PM. When I got home, I discovered that my PC no longer powers on. It was working when I brought it in. Now it's completely unresponsive. This was an awful experience. There was no accountability, no communication, and a completely botched "Same Day" repair. I expected better from Micro Center. I now may be left with a very expensive paperweight. read more

Coming from the gaming and PC world, oftentimes you hear about how amazing Microcenter is for the community and how their service is amazing. Not this location. The salesmen are fine. It's blatantly obvious that only the people making commission care at all. They don't check open box products to be complete, no matter how expensive they are. The worst of all is the "knowledge bar" though. Not one person working at their knowledge bar seems like they want to be there at all. They religiously follow a login system that doesn't prioritize pickups and neglects the elderly, and their service people will intentionally overlook these people or watch the line pile up and leave so that they are not bothered. Absolutely the worst service every single time you walk in, it feels like you are being preyed upon like at a car dealership. If you have other options, take them. read more

This is my 3rd time here in less than 2 months, because - as a woman in tech - I love this store! What *DON'T* they have?!? Tonight, I came to return refurbished HP color printer ink that I was told would work - in theory, but did not work - in practice. Even though I am not a rewards member, nor did I have my receipt, I told the cashier my approximate purchase date, and he had the smart idea to look up the transaction on my bank / credit cards, which I did, then he found the transaction, and re-printed the receipt, then returned the ink - in full. He also gave me a price adjust for an external Mophie battery I bought, for my iPhone, as it is now 33% less expensive. And I bought a second, for redundancy, to keep in my car - vs. the first, for redundancy, at home, for power outages. Lastly, I bought a second USB-C to lightning Apple cord, for my forthcoming car battery charger, which will double as a second backup battery for my iPhone, to keep in my car. I was told it was an issue with the application which was impossible because I tried multiple different versions and it kept breaking, and the issue only popped up after I tried to clean my laptop fans by opening it up, so I know the issue isn't made up. Spent 2 grand on a pc with them, less than 8 months later it is broken, they say they can't even diagnose the pc for at least 8 days even with gaurenteed warranty. No employed person can wait weeks for them to live up to their warranty. no offer of any kind of rental device to use in the meantime. no way to contact them other than driving out to the location. I feel cheated warranty should state repairs will take weeks and we will not provide any kind of device for you to use in the meantime. any normal repair shop diagnoses within a day and has a plan of action next day. If you're looking for the worst customer service imaginable (it doesn't even qualify for the word "service", and want to spend you money on something that when you unbox it at home you realize is THE WRONG PRODUCT, WITH MISSING PARTS, AND NO INSTRUCTION/OWNER'S MANUAL, then this is your spot. I know there are fewer & fewer options around for electronics, but don't give up and go to this s***hole. YOU ABSOLUTELY CANNOT speak with the sales rep who might've helped you in-store, because they WILL NOT give out numbers for specific store locations. This is silly af. You have to call the national number, and they will always tell you they can call the specific store themselves but this a distraction, a lie. In five tries over a week, even they could not get through. Then, you have to wait 24 hours for someone to call you back. And then there was another problem with the POS they gave me, so I have to call again, wait for them to call the store, not be able to, and again I have to wait a full 24 hours for a callback. Good luck being available whenever they decide to call. You cannot speak to the same person twice. Also, they gave me the TV that was the WRONG BRAND, HAD NO MANUAL OR INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED, AND WAS MISSING MULTIPLE NECESSARY PARTS. I spent a full week trying to get their... I guess you'd call it "support", with no progress. I've wasted hours on the phone with them (at least a full work day altogether). Sigh. I will NEVER shop here again. And neither should you. Unfortunately, your best option is Amazon. My son needed a laptop for his first year of college. We decided on Micro Center, it Was the right choice. They have so many knowledgeable people working there who want to help. It's like a blast from the past for customer service. The gentleman that helped us asked my son what his major was so he could help pick out the best laptop fir the jobs he will be doing. He even recommended some things we hadn't thought about before going in. The prices at micro center are the best I've found. They also have a huge amount in stock, so you can't go wrong. They store is big and you will I want to purchase so many things, they even have fun t-shirts! We will always go to micro center for any tech needs. read more
