This was a pretty compact, small store. When you enter, you go up the escalator. The first floor was mostly groceries and some clothing. If you go up the escalator again, it held makeup, body care and household items. They had a nice selection for the size of the store but if you are looking for something specific they may not have it. We came when it was quite busy and even so they tried to keep everything orderly. There were signs to help with the different lines as well as an associate who not only helped to keep the aisles clear for the line but another to guide which register to go to. read more

This downtown Target is super convenient and centrally located. It's definitely on the more compact side, but the layout makes total sense, so I was in and out pretty quickly. I made the short, easy walk over from the Brown Palace Hotel to grab some snacks and use their cash-back option for housekeeping. This ended up being a total lifesaver since the Chase Bank ATM vestibule over by Union Station is closed on weekends to prevent people from camping inside. The smallest multi-floor Target that I've ever been to? The first floor has an elevator and escalators to ascend and descend. The actual shopping is on the second and third floor. Second floor has the grocery items and check out, some clothes, and lots of travel sized items. They know that since this is in a downtown city center, there's lots of out of towners who need to pick things up. Very useful. Second floor has make up, health items, some toys and board games, decorations, baby supplies, etc. Just imagine a shrunken Target with only the essentials. This is the stop you have here. This Target is in the 16th street mall downtown. It is a two level building. There is an escalator. There is an elevator for handicapped people and for those with large amounts of groceries. The Target itself is clean and relatively safe. The shelves are usually well stocked. The people who work here are reasonably friendly and helpful. Most of the customers are ok. The prices are what inflated prices are nowdays. The only issue is that the area has a lot of homeless and at least 1-2 will be at the store entrance every time you shop here. Most of them will not bother you nor will they usually go into the store. The security guard may ask them to leave. However, some of the homeless camped out at this store entrance may proposition you. Just ignore them and you should be ok. read more

It was great to have a Target so close to the hotel where I was staying. I was able to get some soft drinks, breakfast bars, snacks, and fresh fruit, for my room and if I had needed a charging cable or toiletries they had all of that as well. This is a typical downtown Target with multiple levels and a smaller selection than bigger suburban stores, but a great option for essentials! My personal experiences with many Target, especially while I am moving from outer Denver to Arvada, Targets are thoroughly enjoyable and customer service is premium. This day I was searching for a few items, then thought of... I need more leggings, the ones I purchased at Target over 8 years ago are showing their age. I aske for help!! And here is the lady who was more than willing, she found what I needed PLUS, 2 pair for less than other costly leggings, and I know they will last. PERFECT FIT!! I did not need to specify my size, the customer service is exemplary, and why I keep returning!! The stores are CLEAN, MANAGEBLE, HIGHLIGHTED AREAS, and if we might become lost, there is always someone available to help! The signage is fantastic! This Target is conveniently located in close proximity to the Hilton Denver City Center hotel. I was so surprised to open my shades and see it from my room. We were happy to know this as we needed snacks for the week. It took us less than 5mins to walk despite all of the construction in the area. This two level location has just about everything you need. The store was very easy to navigate and I was able to find everything I needed. The prices were reasonable and lots of items on sale. This is a mini Target. No restrooms!! I guess because of the high presence of vagrants everywhere. The selections are so limited. And no fitting rooms?!! Cosmetics are locked up. I appreciate the idea of a "city Target" that is compact and serves just what you need in a downtown core. I was able to make a return using my credit card because I lost the receipt, and they were really nice about it. The only downside is that they are a bit understaffed. There is a bunch of self checkout, but if you need the single manned checkout, it also operates as customer service, so there can be a bit of a wait. read more

Parking in downtown Denver is a major challenge. There are some meters, there are some parking decks, there are a few paid parking lots. All of them way too expensive for a quick stop. Thankfully, Target has a free lot for customers and I totally took advantage of it. I needed a few cheap items and used this opportunity to restock and then did a little bit of nearby wandering before returning to my car. The urban location means they have a two-story shop. They don't have everything that a full size Target has. And the layout for checkout is not great. But I found a few things, rang up my sale and I was on my way. Could it be better? Probably. This is your typical Target location in the 16h Street Mall. I ended up walking here since parking seemed to be a major hassle. You get all the typical items. I was able to go in and pick up some snacks and drinks and head out quickly. The location is great since it is near all the major hotels and restaurants. If you are aiming to buy necessities in Downtown Denver at reasonable prices, the 16th Street Mall Baby Target hits the bullseye. Established in the summer of 2018, this is a Baby Target that serves the locals and tourists more as an urban general store than a department store.     In similar fashion to Baby Targets that are often called Urban Targets, the 16th Street Mall location is multilevels. The street level is a phantom first floor. It is a small space that transports passers-by from the 16th Street Mall to the escalator and elevator carrying them to levels 2 and 3. It is a small space that celebrates the Mile High City through its murals. I am of the opinion that the tiny level 1 is a good thing because it maximizes the storefront footage along the Mall giving more room for street level businesses such as Giordanos. Level 2 is home to the food market, apparel, grab & go, electronics, household cleaning, pet food, and more. This is the heart of the store. On this level are the check outs, customer service, ATM, and order pickup. Above, level 3 is home to the CVS pharmacy, baby merchandise, health & beauty, home goods, sporting goods, and more.       When we stayed in Downtown Denver, this Baby Target hit the bullseye on convenience. It was very close to our hotel. From June 25 to July 2, 2022 there were three visits here (I am the current Duke). All of my purchases were on level 2.    The 16th Street Mall Baby Target exceeds at selling retail beer. In Downtown Denver, it seems to be easier to purchase Marijuana than beer. When I wanted to buy a tall boy beer, this Target hit the bullseye. A Michelob tall boy goes for $2.99. When you buy three beers you get a & 1 off. This is very competitive! For me, a man who greatly appreciates his nightly tall boy in privacy, this business came through. If it wasn't for this Baby Target, I would be left to brave the sketchy 7-Eleven down the Mall or patronize a local bar which is a different experience than enjoying one in privacy. On the beverage spectrum, it also came through on cold bottled and sparkling flavored water. The cold bottled water was inexpensive. From my experience, this is a prime place to buy cold bottled water on the 16th Street Mall. During our stay here, I also picked up Lay's Stax and Goldfish that were very competitively priced.      Deeper into level 2, they missed the bullseye on Denver apparel. I was in the market for a Denver t-shirt. They were missing in action. Based on my visits here, I believe that the Ross and TJ Maxx across the Mall has a superior selection of apparel.   When I visited here three times, the store was clean and well-kept. I cannot comment on the restroom on account of the fact that a public one is nonexistent just like the customary Target Starbucks. Walking the levels, I took in an urban store that is modern with some attractive displays. For example when I exited the escalator onto level 2, my eyes took in the sights of appealing produce on brown fixtures fronting the food market aisles. My favorite spot was standing on level 3, looking below at the food market and apparel below. My three visits either concluded with paying at a full service or self checkout register. The woman who rang up my purchases was really my only associate interaction here. Fortunately she had a good attitude.      Opened in the summer of 2018, I believe that the Downtown Denver Baby Target lessens the negative impact of some of the nearby business closures. It is definitely a downtown improvement from our 2017 Denver vacation. It came in very useful for my family and I when we stayed in the nearby Homewood Suites. In conclusion, the 16th Street Mall Baby Target hits my bullseye of 4 stars. read more

The Target has me changing mind in shopping with this company, the selection, the quality, the prices, the employees, and company policy regarding diversity made me go else where. I love Amazon in all ways and Walmart seems better prices and selection even when some of the employees at Walmart are the dumbest, and rude but I can live with that by Talking to their managers. This store is miserable to find games in. Sure, the novelty of being in the heart of downtown and being a 2-tier store is neat & all, but... If you are here for games, or any type of collectible, dodge it. The store is small, and the sacrificed much of the electronics to save space. I am willing to bet it was to do with several riots taking them for what they're worth. But there is only 2 end caps for games, that's it. Everything else is just cards for games. Still enjoy having this bijoux Target in my neighborhood. However, I am dropping a star for this infuriating thing Target is doing with their registers. This Target was built with all registers being self-checkout, and a counter that serves pickups, returns, and people who buy alcohol. Usually one person is working even though they have 3 or 4 cash registers. Now with their 10 items or less at self-checkout, you have to wait for a cashier. Having to do multiple jobs aside from cashiering makes the wait for the customers longer than needed, and its quite infuriating. Going forward, if I have more than 10 items I'll still go to the self-checkout and pay two different transaction. Target's excuse? Customers love to interact with their cashiers. NOT, you can barely get a smile from some of these people, let alone a "hello". They have no idea how to have a conversation. I rather checkout myself. read more

You always end up forgetting something on your out of town trip. Target is there for the rescue. My daughter was awe of the escalator within the store as it's different than our "puppy store" at home. This Target is located on 16th Street Mall. It's a little more unique than your average Target - you take an escalator at the main entrance to get to the store and back. However, it is a little smaller than most Targets I've been to. We came in here specifically to grab some water bottles to take back to our hotel room. In all honesty, they should've really had more water bottles that came in a six pack. We needed some that could fit in a hotel mini fridge and we didn't want to take too many back with us. All we could find was those ridiculously small water bottles, 12 packs, 24 packs, and water canteens. We picked up a water canteen anyway and luckily enough it was the perfect fit in the fridge when we got back to our hotel. It was interesting to see that it was all self checkout, there are no human beings behind cash registers there to check your items out at all. There are only maybe six or seven self checkout stands, so the line can get a bit long. read more

Their mix of clothing changes routinely and is designed to attract the eyes of visitors and a younger generation. The food mix is limited but very helpful when you need something quick and easy. Meats. Dairy. Produce. Full range of grocery and snacks. Visitors to downtown denver will love this store as it has a fun mix of unique colorful items and is suited to be a great resource when you realize you forgot that certain something while traveling. I mean, it's cute. It is. It's not my first spot when I think to myself, "Hey, let's go to Target!" But if you live or work downtown, then it's the perfect spot if you need somewhere to pick up the essentials and don't want to go to the nearby Walgreen's or CVS. While you can't get all of your regular grocery shopping done here, you can pick up some things, grocery wise. Meats and cheeses and ice cream, oh my! I've been able to pick up a few things for dinner here when I don't feel like trekking to the grocery store. Super convenient. Along with maybe some socks and underwear, and you're all set. As an introvert, I do appreciate the abundance and dependence on mostly being self- checkout. I can get in, not talk to anyone, and then get out of there. My self confidence dramatically declines once a person waves me over to their lane in order to check me out themselves when the self- checkout lines are all taken up. Ugh, nothing against Target. It's more about my need of not wanting to talk to anyone. I'm a quiet nerd. It's two floors of Target heaven. A mini Target. A baby Target, if you will. Cool little Target for the location, size and inventory. It had everything that I needed thought. There are escalators and an elevator to take you to the second and third level of the store. There's is a mini grocery store inside, medications, clothing etc. The prices were not jacked high because of the location which was a plus! This was definitely different than all other targets I have been in before. While the one I have at home has parking downstairs with the store upstairs, this one was quite a bit more cramped. On my last day in Denver, my two friends with me needed some clothing items. As I remember, they needed some swimsuits. And although they didn't find exactly what they wanted, there were some necessary items purchased. As I said, this was probably the most cramped Target I have ever been in. And as far as I could tell, almost all of the check outs were self serve. The store itself didn't feel super clean. But it was fine overall. I would definitely expect an out of the ordinary Target with it being within the 16th street mall. Overall it was A-ok. read more

I entered this Target and at the beginning I was having a good time. A girl scout was outside selling pastries and inside clothes were nice and they seemed like they were pretty sturdy. I came in for a new set of Jeans because wouldn't you know it mine have a big old hole right in the crotch. My son and his fiancee were not having it so I popped in to grab some sweet Levis'. Unfortunately this is when the problems started, a target employee grabbed me by the shoulder and said "Hey, aren't you missing something?" and then walked away. Another employee came up to me and said "You are missing the test, did you even study?". Now let me tell you, I have not been in school for many years but I was starting to get spooked. I began running through the aisles and looking for the jeans more fervently. I had to get out of here. I did not like the way that I was being treated. In a dead run I bumped into my teacher from senior physics. "I loved having you this year! Best of luck on the final!". My palms were sweating. I must have been in the school section because I realized that I was surrounded by desks. I saw a single pair of jeans on one of the desks so I grabbed it. It wasn't exactly my size but it was close enough. I ran as fast as my legs would carry me up to the front lo and behold, a single line was open! I ran into the line grabbing my Target card from my tri fold wallet. I turned to find the cashier breathing FIRE all over me. I would not stand for this kind of customer service!!! Finally I dropped my jeans and ran out of the store. After a 45 minute panic attack I realized the girl that I had bought brownies from outside the store wasn't a girl scout or even that young and I thought it was odd that the brownie cost me 45 dollars. Personally I really appreciate having this Target closeby my home because it acts as an 'extra' convenience store. You need tonic water for gin and tonic? They got you covered with 6 different choices from including Fever Tree brand. They have a limited range of groceries and clothes as well.
