We came in here to do quite a bit of shopping for our new place. Honestly didn't buy as much as we thought we would but at the checkout our cashier was extremely annoyed with us. He had a shirt On about racial inequality yet he treated us like shit and we were nothing but respectful: we had three gift cards to use and the manager came over because they wouldn't scan. They were legitimate. One had 5$ one had 13$ and the other 9$. Apparently the 9$ one the manager scratched off the numbers so bad it couldn't be read. When I tried to pull up the cartwheel app it wouldn't work. The cashier then pulled the receipt out and shoved it in our face without saying anything: we went over to Guest relations where we were told they could help us. They scanned the card and said it had 9$. The only way to use it and get our 5% was to refund everything and re purchase. Just then the stupid app crashed again like Clockwork/ both guest relations guys were annoyed and mad. They ended up just giving us the 5% difference back but they let us know how "difficult" it was for them. We also Told Them about the cashier who was extremely rude to us. This Target location is fairly new to the 16th Street Mall area of Downtown Denver. Its size is comparable to a regular size Target that one would find in a neighborhood suburb, only this one is stacked up and laid out on 2 floors rather than one giant floorplan. I noticed that a few things were missing from this location than that of a suburb location. That mainly being parking, but if you live or work in or around the 16th mall, everything is usually within walking distance or you can use the free mall ride bus. There is also, as other reviewers have noted, no restrooms, I think it is to deter homeless from camping and or using them as drug dens. No drive up location for picking up online orders, although there is a 15 min loading zone that can possibly be used. Overall, not a bad location for picking up small household items, groceries, or other essentials. read more

Awesome and convenient location in the heart of Denver. You can't find everything like you would be able to say if you were at a Target in the suburbs but for being in the location it's in and having what it does have is a plus in my book. We were from out of town and we were able to get water and snacks and other toiletries that we needed while away from home. read more

I like this little target. They don't have everything, but they have enough. And a lot of things you can't find at the super targets around town, which is surprising. Plus it's very convenient and I'm SO happy to have a target on the 16th Street Mall! Bonus: people watching! The Target gods have answered our prayers for a downtown Denver location! It's a two story location too. They have a huge selection of grab-n-go meals, some women and men clothing (the more trendier options), plenty of frozen food, home goods, cards, gifts, makeup, etc. It's a one stop shop for all Downtown Denver people. The staff is so friendly too and they have the self check outs so you can be in and out of there within minutes! read more

Best Target in the Denver metro area, unfortunately a group of homeless men sit outside of Target panhandling all day. They are very respectful and kind polite non drug users. Just down on luck trying to improve their lives. I've watched allied security harass them for months now with very limited options for to end their homelessness outside of putting them in a drug used shelter. The main one of their group seems super excited because he just got an ID and has applied for multiple jobs in the downtown area. read more

***Spoiler alert - The only reason this Target doesn't qualify for more than three stars is because of the location and what you have to deal with around it and as you enter and leave.*** This Target is an abbreviated version of most other Target stores that you may be used to. Unlike the expansive suburban stores that you can get lost in wandering around for hours wasting time, this one is pretty straight forward and to the point. Less stuff, less space, fewer employees...nothing bad, just different. In light of less available options for merchandise, I did find that the selection was well curated. As a bargain shopper by nature, I was happy that the smaller store still had a clearance section I came to this Target for two reasons. First, to use the free phone charging station. I was in a situation where I didn't have my charger with me and my phone was dead. With a few simple touches of a screen, one of the locker doors on the charging machine opened. There are a few different types of plugs in the locker and when you attach your phone, you enter some security prompts, close the locking door and come back when you're ready. The locking doors were the only reason I trusted this machine. My phone charged up about half-way in less than a twenty minutes. This was just enough time to allow me to complete the next task of my journey, picking up an order that someone made online for me. Within five minutes of having an online order placed by someone in a different state for in-store pick-up, I received a text that my items were ready. There is a specific area for this type of purchase in the check-out area so you don't have to wait in line behind people with full baskets. I'm really impressed by the overall flawless execution of online-to-store ordering. Now to the stars going away. This Target is located on the 16th Street Mall right in the middle of downtown Denver. If you are not familiar, it can be sketchy and scary at more times than not...just look it up. To get here, prepare to be approached by panhandlers, homeless people going through trash cans and dumpsters, people urinating in an alley, sign picketers with megaphones reminding you that "You're going to He//...let me tell you about Jesus" and most disturbingly, those pain-in-the butt FAKE MONKS from "Tibet" that try to put beads on your hand and say, "Peace" before they ask for $20+. If I wasn't stranded downtown, this would never have been a stop for me and I would have gone anywhere else without all that. So for the store, five stars all around for the employees, efficiency, cleanliness and check-out. For the location...wah wah (or even better, the noise when people lose a game on the "Price is Right"). I'd go back if I found myself in the same situation again. If I was in a different situation, I'd pass for an alternate location unless Denver cleaned all the "Skid Row" off the 16th Street Mall. read more

I have used Shipt 4 times over the last 6 weeks. On my 2nd delivery my shopper texted she noticed a couple small items missing that Target must have forgotten to bag. It was not a big deal to me, I did not think anything of it. Today, I had my 4th delivery. My shopper texted me a similar message, however this time Target had forgot to bag xyz...$42 worth of items. My shopper went on to say "I swear I saw the cashier at target put everything in one bag and they aren't in my car. I understand if you have to penalize my shop, I just wanted to personally apologize for the inconvenience." I was appalled and very concerned, however I imagined Shipt would handle the issue and want to stop this from happening right away. While trying to get a hold of them for over an hour, I called Target who verified the items had been returned for cash/gift card with my gift receipt. The supervisor at Shipt said it was a billing issue and I had to EMAIL customer service, end of story/period! I told the supervisor this is a fraud issue, not a billing one, he did not care. Super small, horrible selection, worse customer service. I have a daughter who has a stomach disability and we were on a Staycation. However our hotel was a few blocks away. The jerks at this Target would not let her use the bathroom despite the fact that I was a paying customer. In retrospect I should have walked out and not purchased anything. If it weren't for the fact my grandbaby had her heart set on the toys she selected in the cart, believe me I would have. I love Target normally but I would recommend people steer clear of this one. read more

Checked this place out yesterday. Downtown has needed a place like this for a while. Say what you will about big corporate stores downtown - but this a welcome addition for people like me who live and work downtown. Their grocery selection is far better than anything around here (7-eleven, Walgreen's). They have everything you need in terms of groceries. Not everything you will want for specific ingredients or cuts of meat - you will still need a supermarket for those things - but most everything you'd want. I got underwear, tee shirts and groceries - great for one stop shopping! read more

Terrible return policy, do not buy electronics from target. They failed to mention the 30 day return policy and would not return heyday headphones which were defective after 45 days. Again, shopping online is a much better experience and has a better return policy. Avoid this store. read more

I just had a terrible experience in the downtown Denver store. I have been so excited this store has opened and have spoken so highly about it but the customer service today was terrible. I understand you would like people to self checkout but there wasn't even one regular register open. In addition I told the person who I think was in charge at the time and believe her name is Sydney that you had a sale going on for Starbucks kcups. The sale was that if you buy 3 boxes they are 9.99 which was not showing up on my order. She first told me the sale was over. I told her I had just seen it in your flyer. She asked if I had the flyer. She then told me not all sales apply in the Denver store. I wound up not buying any of the coffee. I'm not sure what the true answer is but I would recommend having a sale for a popular product like this available at the downtown Denver store. I really am not so excited to go back to the store at all after today. read more

Always Clean and pleasant shopping experience in the mall area. Just wish they had more of the same products other targets have. So don't expect to do your regular shopping, it's designed more for tourists. read more
