One extra star for being better a better business than Comcast, which isn't saying much. Moved into a building that had Wifihood for the entire complex. I thought, "Great, I can save a few hundred dollars a year!" Well the internet is okay for parts of the day where no one is home, but when I get off work, it can be really slow. It has has connectivity issues and randomly drops connection many times a day. Then if I want to play Xbox Live with friends? Forget it. Their Network is on a Strict NAT so you can't connect to many people. I called and they said they couldn't help me with it. Driver are rude and have no common sense. I was recently blocked out of my driveway by two WiFihood trucks. They were parked in such a way that even the smallest car could get by. I had to yell to get someone's attention (they were on the roof) and their solution was for me to back up 3/4 block and "go around". It's stupid that I should have to do that when they are illegally blocking access to my home. read more

Denver......RiNo. Decided to go with them after Comcast and CO told me how difficult it would be and hence an extra charge would apply. I am sure it applies to everyone ( this is a brand new town home, pre-wired for Comcast, ha !) Wifi Hood : excellent customer service on the phone, quick installation, they come out a couple days prior to make sure it will work. I got the 25 package and have very good results - their prices are better than the competition, you can quit anytime and : huge discount if you pre pay for the whole year . We have WifiHood Home 50 and have had it for about a week. We've had a few issues with the setup but this is mostly due to our location in Baker, we don't have a very clear line of sight of the radio signal that's used, so a technician has had to come out a couple times to work with it. Now that said, I can say without a doubt that the customer service at WifiHood has been incredible. A technician is there when they say he will be there, no large windows of time to wait around hoping they show up. And everyone you might talk to knows what they're talking about. Now everything is set up well and I don't any foresee any issues in the near future. If you live in an area with service I definitely recommend it especially if you just don't like the big ISPs. Supporting a local company who treats their customers with respect is a no-brainer! read more

Slightly better than the "C" word (Comcast/ cable). My apartment was already equipped with WiFiHood routers, so rather than pay exorbitant cable/ internet company fees we went with WiFiHood when we moved in. Considering the alternatives, I'd probably do it again. Don't get me wrong, I'm writing this on our WiFiHood wireless now. So we DO have Internet access. It's just inconsistent and the signal strength is poor. Plus, they seem to give up on addressing four issues after two or three emails. A very big MEH. read more

I've had WifiHood for the past 4 months after switching from Comcast. I switched because I was having problems simply streaming to my TV or using more than one device connected to the internet at a time. They had to put a pole on the top of my house for the network to connect, which I don't mind. So far it's been great, we use as many devices as we want and stream Netflix and Hulu all the time with no problems. My neighbor also switched over and was having problems with his router, they came over the same day he called and set him up with a new router! Awesome, cheap and reliable. read more

Just had my service installed today. Took about two hours total with no issues. I ordered the 50mbps and I'm currently clocking 52/12 on a speed test. Very satisfied so far- I will update my review in a few weeks once I've had more time with the service for a while. read more

Best internet service provider in Denver. A helpful person will email or call you right away if you have any technical issues, and they let you adjust your plan online and through email! I remember how I would dread the 2 hour comcast phone call to try and change my service, or the way they would always try to get me to "bundle", and over limited time deals that would triple upon expiring. LOVE WiFiHood. I have their home service (not apartment). It's been a breeze. Since there's no contract I figured we could start at 25 and upgrade to 50 if necessary. About two months in, we've had ZERO issues. My husband and I both work from home so we're online a huge chunk of any given day. Streaming tv is better than it used to be with Comcast (though could be due to a new and newly located router). Billing is transparent and predictable. Customer service is amazing. I've used WiFiHood/Verso Networks for over a year now and I can honestly say this is hands down the best ISP I've ever dealt with. Last year when I signed up, I called and my call was answered within one ring by somebody right here in Denver who was friendly, helpful and nice. They had a technician out the next day who was here exactly when he said he would be. I enjoy the simple billing and no contracts. I've recently moved and got WifiHome at my new apartment and they prorated my last months payments at my old place with no issues. The installing technician at my new place was running 5 minutes late and I received a call from him letting me know that - that doesn't happen with Comcast or Century Link. I will never use another ISP as long as I am in WiFiHood's service area and I highly recommend that you make a similar choice. read more

WiFiHood is the best. I have had the service for over a year and have been more than pleased with their customer service and technicians. All service has been excellent. I have not had any issues and appreciate being able to receive discounts for paying in advance. The cost is as low as possible for internet service, and I can stream, use my laptop and phone all at the same time. I do not game. I just wanted to share a quick update regarding an experience I had. My WiFi connection dropped out one afternoon, so I talked to customer service about the issue, and they sent a tech out to fix the problem. The tech was able to restore my connection about 1.5 hours after initially contacting WiFiHood, which is impressive in my book. I wrote before I had no experience with contacting customer service post-sale, but now I do. And I'm happy to report WiFiHood continues to do an excellent job! read more

I'd give ZERO stars if I could. In a word: rude. Most definitely NOT DEAF friendly. So, if you're deaf, or are one of those people who hate talking on the phone, which is why you need the internet and write to "contact us", instead of call, these guys are NOT the ones to help you. The website has a "contact us" e-mail. I asked about four or five general questions in my e-mail. Mo and Bob Fowler, the responders - at least according to the e-mail contact card, told me I had to call in so we could discuss my questions if I wanted them answered. When I replied, "No", because I chose the e-mail "contact us" because I wanted to ask the questions via e-mail, I was ignored for six days. Then, when I wrote again, requesting a response, Mo informed me that, because I wrote, "No", there was nothing to discuss and if I would not call in, I would not be assisted. I was also advised that, "when I was ready to call in and have my questions answered", I could call their number. How self-serving and uninterested in getting new business is that response? Also, what is the point of an e-mail "contact us", if you're going to just tell the person to call in? Red flags all around. I am always willing to give the benefit of the doubt at first, but with behavior and responses like this, I say this company is the equivalent of a sleazy used car saleman - all talk and no action. Buyer beware. I have saved the e-mail exchange and I'm looking into filing a complaint with the FTC. read more

Just got Home 50 earlier this week and it's great. The setup took a little while but they were on time, very proffesional and very nice. The speed is exactly as advertised and has been rock solid so far. Cancelling the major ISP rip off later that day was fantastic. So far wifi hood are a wonderful alternative to the scamy rate hiking internet providers that we usually have to deal with. read more

I signed up for the Classic 50 Mbps service. I am getting 2 Mbps. Using the mobile Hotspot on my cell phone (T-Mobile) I get 13 Mbps. I was told they "may" send someone out today to install another router in the building but it didn't happen. So it is a one star until they address the issue read more
