Initially I bought a new stylus off amazon because I thought that was the problem (it was) but amazon didn't specify what stylus i was buying so when it came to my door it wouldn't fit at all and i broke the original. So when I took it in the team there hooked me up and got me right, explained to me that i probably bought some cartridge and stylus that would make my music sound like crap they got me set up with a pretty good stylus and carriage and installed it for me and tested to make sure it worked, quick and easy too. These guys are awesome and screw amazon, listening to records is an art that should be listened to with the right equipment not some cheap amazon baloney. Come check this place out it's pretty cool and they will make sure you have a good listening experience from your turntable.

Adam helped me build my first true hi-fi system with turntable, amp, speakers and subwoofer on a relatively modest budget. I worked in electronic retail sales on commission in the late 90's and early 2000's with extensive customer service training so I do not say this lightly. I was originally planning to buy just a turntable from Soundscape and buy everything else online but Adam let me bring some speakers I could only find online to their beautiful showroom and compare them side-by-side with some Sonus Faber Lumina's. I ended up returning the ones I got online in favor of the much better looking and better sounding Sonus Fabers. It didn't hurt that Adam gave me a great deal on the like new demo/floor models and a demo amplifier that paired with them perfectly. Moreover, Adam helped me set up my turntable, lent me an expensive microphone for subwoofer room correction (which made a big difference), and gave me lots of technical support and education for getting everything set up properly. Throughout this whole experience I never felt rushed or persuaded to spend beyond my original very modest budget. I also got better deals than I could find anywhere else. It was also wonderful to have the showroom and Adam's enthusiastic expertise all to myself. Thanks again Adam and Crystal! I was buying this as a gift and so timing was important; I needed to make sure the turntable was in stock and would ship in time to arrive by a certain date. These guys got back to me right away with answers to all of my questions, and stayed in touch with me from the time of purchasing to the arrival of the shipment. At the start they gave me the full honest rundown of the situation: the item was out of stock, but a new shipment was offloading at a dock in the Gulf that day, would be on a truck to CO the next day, and would be able to ship out at the start of the next week. When it came time to ship it, they did so with Fedex at a speed that ensured it would arrive on time, which it did. Everything worked out perfectly. The turntable wasn't cheap, but it wasn't anywhere near the top line expensive stuff Rutherford sells, so I appreciated that they treated me well and took my order serious even though I wasn't buying their top-end stuff. They seem like a friendly and honest company with great costumer service and great products.

At any rate, it was a nice surprise to see a business in town that was in niche with my music interests. They still carry vinyl, portables and even 3" turntables that have grown in popularity the last few years. When you walk in they even have a roundtable of rigs that they twitchstream and would assume teach classes on. Again a really cool traveller surprise if you ever grew up on DJing/turntablism outside the Mile High scene.

I would not recommend bringing DJ equipment here for repair…read more I brought my Pioneer DJ Opus Quad in because both of the top USB ports stopped working. Before bringing it in, I had found multiple Pioneer DJ forum posts describing what appeared to be the same issue, and the repair seemed fairly straightforward. I emailed with Ian for about a week, explained the issue, and shared the forum posts I found. He told me he was confident he could fix it and just needed to open the unit to confirm which parts needed to be ordered. After I dropped it off, they had the unit for 4 full weeks before the issue was even confirmed. At that point, Ian confirmed it was the same issue described in the forums and told me I could pick it up while we waited for parts. I happened to be out of town that week, so I left it there in case the parts came in while I was gone. Two more weeks went by with no update. I emailed asking if there was any status on the parts because I didn't want to pick it up if they were going to arrive soon. I received no response, so after two days I went in and picked it up. When I got the unit home, I immediately noticed something rattling around inside. I also found a bag of screws inside the case, so it clearly had not been fully reassembled. The entire top of the unit was loose. When I carefully lifted it to see what was rattling, I found that all the plastic screw posts along the bottom of the unit had been broken off of the top plate. One of the broken pieces was loose inside the unit, and the others still had screws in them. So after having my deck for 7 weeks, with very little communication, I got it back in worse physical condition than when I dropped it off. Even if the USB ports are eventually repaired, the top plate can no longer be properly secured without replacing the damaged plastic top plate. At this point, I do not trust them to work on the unit again. If they could not open it without breaking it, I have no confidence they can repair the original problem or the damage that occurred while it was in their possession. This was a 1-star experience. I brought my deck in for repair, waited 7 weeks, received almost no communication, and got it back damaged.

They…read morerequested I find out more info about the materials of the wall so I reached out to our builder. While I waited to hear back due to the person I needed the info being off, Boulder Home Theater reached out and said "Upon further consideration and review from the owner we are not comfortable putting a recessed box in that location. It's too much of a liability for us the scope of this project mainly for any tile damage and not knowing what's behind--and possible heat-leak up from the fireplace. If this was a normal standard drywall wall setup not above the fireplace, we would have no issues quoting that." This even before I was able to let them know what the materials and wall type were and it's an electric fireplace with the ability to have the heat turned off which I let them know prior to this response. If they can't even wait for my response on the materials or work with me on the install but just say you aren't worth the hassle, well that isn't a company I would want to work with when it comes to installing TV's. They were also priced higher before this then the numerous other companies I received quotes for. I had several jobs I was planning over the coming months but will take my business elsewhere.
