Upon entering the store, a dark skinned hispanic woman was "cursing", using obscene profanity as she described an encounter she had with a customer. She exclaimed aloud, "that son of a bitch", and continued cursing as her fellow hispanic female coworkers laughed profusely. As we approached the counter, another hispanic xfiniity customer service rep called us a "racial slur" in spanish and though that we didnt know what she was saying.. But, we were well aware of the derogatory language that she called us... I have often heard about xfinity and its poor customer service... But, today I actually experienced it for myself. I did not visit this xfinity store to be called a racial slur by a hispanic xfinity employee. But, I went to the store to return equipment. Not to be called a racial slur!!! If this is how xfinity treats its employees, then I am cancelling my service an finding another internet carrier with better customer service... The behavior of these women was appalling and very unproffesional!!!! I will never return, and I advise all African Americans not to go to this location as these women are unproffesional... SMH!!!

However some things to note:…read more-The internet can be knocked out during bad weather (snow storms, thunderstorms, etc) since it is delivered wirelessly to the building (at least in my building's case). -Reliability when weather isn't a factor is incredibly high in my experience compared to other ISPs. -Speed is awesome. My building is supported for 100mbps, but I usually get around 200-300mbps download speeds, and at least 200mbps upload speed at all times. Sometimes my upload or download will peak around 500mbps. -Their support staff really knows their stuff. It's not like calling another ISP's support where you get tier1 support who asks you do to the basic troubleshooting. The support staff you get when you first call is likely the person who will truly be able to fix your issue. I work in IT, and absolutely appreciate this. THAT SAID, their hold times when calling for support are usually pretty terrible. I've been on hold before (including last night) for 1+ hours and then the call gets disconnected for whatever reason. Their email/online support is pretty lackluster. No way of updating or creating tickets online short of emailing them. In my current case, I've emailed them in response to a ticket and they seem to ignore the email altogether. I'm now trying to call them to get the issue resolved. Overall, I'd give them an A- as a grade. If they could up their support, it'd be the best ISP out there.

    Title "When good companies go bad"…read more Unfortunately cable is one of those things in which options are limited. Comcast has always been the big kid on the block with companies like WOW being the champions of how things should be done, until recently. After switching back to WOW cable, I have had nothing but problems. Things such as: 6/3/15 1. Tech was in a rush and did not test or show all features. Some things did not work. 2. DVR contained recordings from a prior owner that contained mature content that was not kid friendly. This should be wiped by the company. I have reported this to company management but did not sense any real concern. 3. Scheduled appointment with wow for service tech for 6/3 and took off work. Tech did not show up and automated system stated the call was cancelled by the customer.... not true. Mind you all the above was escalated to a manager after asking to be transferred to a manger three times in a row! The manager seemed to have little concern over any of the above. *Honorable mention: One bright spot in this company is Matt. While I don't know Matt's last name, I can tell you he is a WOW Tech supervisor that goes the extra mile to make sure things are done correctly. I wish we could clone this guy and have him work the other positions at WOW, the company would be great once again. He came out and was able to fix the problems we had at that current time. Thanks Matt So how are things a few months later? 8/4 1. Called with digital glitching issues and on demand order problems. Phone tech had me test a movie and said he would remove the movie charge.. That didn't happen. 2. Tech came out and could not resolve glitching issue. Said he would have someone else dispatched to fix as issue seemed to be line related. He stated that he was not sure when this would happen. 8/17 1. I called to have the test movie removed from the bill. 2. I asked that they remove a service charge that had been added to my Bill. When I asked who added this, I was told the service tech that came out did. Extra cash for WOW I guess. So just FYI, if the tech wants to just add something without your knowledge, I guess he can. 3. I told them that no one has followed up with me to inform me the issue was resolved. Anyway, I'm not really sure what happened at WOW that made them stop being concerned about customer service. Once upon a time I was a huge fan of this company, today I would advise you to shop around and see if you can do better. I'm not saying its always possible due to limited competition in cable but you have nothing to lose. I think everyone understands that things break and service goes out, how you deal with people when that happens will determine if you company stays in business or goes the way of the dinosaur like many other cable companies over the years.
