Delicious!! I was on the mood of something sweet ,so we decided to come to this place. Wow! Excellent! We didn't find the place right away because it's very small but once you spot the sign your life will not be the same again LOL! Very small spot with two tables and friendly staff. Have in mind that you probably won't find one empty seat. The order is going to take maybe 6 to 10 minutes. The menu is small but right on point. I ordered Velvet Love!! Amazing ! The red velvet waffle was delicious!! On top vanilla ice cream, cheesecake , whipped cream and sprinkles! I was in paradise! LOL. I came Thursday afternoon and it wasn't very crowded ! On weekends the lines are very long !!! * no bathrooms!
Doing this review kind of late, but this place is awesome! It's really tiny, so there isn't much room to stand away from people and enjoy your ice cream. The quality of the ice cream is just like any other ice cream, honestly. What makes it great is the additional toppings and the waffle. My bf at the time wasn't crazy about it. The price is pretty steep, but that's expected for something so unique and beautified. Would I recommend? Sure! It's a fun experience. Will I be back? It was more of a one time thing for me, so probably not.
Came here an hour before closing and custom ordered a waffle: madagascar vanilla in an original waffle topped with mochi, strawberries, marshmallows and drizzled with matcha and condensed milk. I really love that the drizzles are unlimited! If they had a stamp card, oh man that would be awesome. Also a fan of the color changing spoons!
Cute little ice cream spot in LES! I first tried Wowfulls at a pop up market and had the beautiful unicorn colorful one. Safe to say it was amazing. The second time I had Wowfulls I went to their store and it was just as great as the first time. Not only is it a delicious dessert, it is super instagrammable as well. The warm crispy waffle (that isn't overly sweet) mixed with the cool ice cream is a match made in heaven. I was overwhelmed by building my own so I went with a premade selection for my second one - I chose the one with the red velvet waffle base with vanilla ice cream and hints of chocolate. I found the portions to be large but perfect for one person or sharable if you'd like. The spoons are temperature sensitive which was a nice touch. The space is small as others have noted, but there is seating and also a cool graffiti love wall (which I used as the background of my photo).
I stopped by here with a friend on a Saturday afternoon and thought it was a super cute place. I absolutely loved the #LoveWall - hearts and color are totally my thing! So, of course I immediately took photos there. And there was really cool artwork of the quote: "Live life wowfully." Of course I had to customize my own Wowfull and my it was artfully created! For my eggette (egg waffle) I chose chocolate and it was pretty good. Nice and chewy consistency and lovely flavor of chocolate. I am more used to the Chinese egg waffle cakes which have cream inside them so I think if that was added, it would bring the flavor up a notch though it probably would be difficult to execute. I wasn't sure which flavor of ice cream to choose so I asked to try the captain crunch cookies & cream, cotton candy pop rocks, coffee and double cookies and cream... I know, I know it's a lot and thankfully the staff was very patient and accommodating to me. However, I was not impressed by the ice cream flavors. I really wanted to like them but I thought I would really enjoy the first 3 flavors but they fell flat. The captain crunch cookies and cream did not have enough of that captain crunch flavor and I don't think it went well with the cookies and cream. The coffee one didn't have a strong or sweet enough flavor. But the double cookies & cream did the trick. That flavor was rich, creamy, full of cookie taste. I got that, along with Madagascar Bold, a more intense vanilla flavor. For my toppings (limited to 3 which is still a really good deal) I selected strawberries, mini chocolate chips (I think the regular size ones would work better but they didn't have that), Mochi and for the drizzle, I got the condensed milk. Oh and Oreo pocky sticks was a wonderful touch - Yum! They add pocky sticks to each Wowfulls creation and the flavor of pocky depends on which type of egg waffle you choose. The toppings were great but I could not taste the condensed milk at all. Perhaps the caramel drizzle would have been better. It was really cool to see the care that was put into making this delicious dessert and the service was great. The staff was friendly and approachable. I'm happy I got to visit and try this place out but I just don't feel the need to go back because I tried all that I wanted.
Always friendly and worth the wait! Best to visit during the week around 1-3pm (I recommend Mondays when possible). Cash only (not sure if this is temporary or long term) but there's an ATM next door. Waffles are made to order and have crispy edges. Also comes with 2 pocky sticks (Japanese chocolate/cream-coated biscuit stick) Recommendations: red velvet waffle, Madagascar Vanilla, fruity pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, chocolate drizzle.
Came when they first opened and waited in line in the rain for $1 ice cream wrapped in HK style egg waffles plus their shop logo pins as part of their opening day promo. I was deeply reconsidering whether I had made the right decision to do so about 2 hours in the freezing rain but stuck in there as I had company who was equally elated. I can say it was sure worth the wait. After trying similar type places and being left disappointed, Wowfulls delivered! Their ice cream did not taste like cheap mass produced ice cream. It was refreshing while not being overly sweet and tantalized the taste buds. The winner clearly were the egg waffles, done wonderfully well...fresh, hot and crispy as they should be. Would definitely visit again!
This is a new cuisine. The waffle with chicken is full with soy garlic. It taste crispy on the outside. Inside is soft and smooth. It was tasty and natural. The cashier was nice and friendly. Asked me how the flavour is. It was a great experience. We had conversation on what the waffle is made of. Had a great time inside the store. Recommend to come here often.
Who doesn't like eggettes?? They are a simple bite that attracted tons of people back in Asia and brought to the United States. Small little pancake-like bites made in a special pan usually sold in paper bags - 15 for $1.25 in Chinatown. But recently the long awaited dessert from Hong Kong blossomed into a trend, with a mountain of eggettes in your hand topped with things like ice cream and toppings. Wowfuls isn't the first location to come up with this dessert, but after trying so many, they may just be one of the best. Starting with the original- it's crisp on top but with a cushion soft texture that's perfect inside. There's no gooeiness that shows it's unfinished but it's also not hard to show it's overdone. I believe there are at least 25 little cakes. You can taste the freshness of the eggs used to make it too! The coffee version is delicious with a strong coffee flavor. Besides the eggettes themselves being perfect, I really enjoyed the ice cream and the uniqueness of the flavors. On top of the original eggettes my friend got coffee ice cream. It tasted similar to Haagen Daaz, which has a true coffee flavor unlike others that may taste artificial. I ordered the captain crunch cookies and cream ice cream on top of my eggettes. It sounds crazy right?? It was amazing!!! So different, yet not overwhelmingly sweet and I look forward to either a cereal or an Oreo crunch after every bite to balance with the eggettes! Topped with strawberries, mochi, and condensed milk... ::Mic drop:: Warning though: coconut wowful is pretty sweet so get the coffee or original if you want something lighter
The first brick and mortar location of the popular egg Waffle place is now open on East Houston Street. Though Eggloo opened their store awhile ago and more recently New Territories (very close to here actually), Wowfulls has been around for almost exactly as long as Eggloo, doing their thing at events and markets like Smorgasburg. The new shop brings a bunch of new waffles, ice cream flavors and toppings to set them apart from Eggloo a bit. They are debuting a Coffee and Coconut flavored waffle here, but the biggest selling point for me, as an ice cream obsessive, is that they use the excellent ice cream from Max & Mina's in Queens. Some of the great new flavors here include Captain Crunch Cookies & Cream and Cotton Candy Pop Rocks. While these sound gimmicky, Max & Mina's makes a great product, so they work very well with these waffles. They also have an exclusive new Green Tea Lemon flavor, which would go great with their Matcha Waffle if it makes it into the flavor rotation. The staff is also very friendly here and they know how to make a beautiful product, so you'll definitely get that perfect shot for Insta. I wish some shops would take the risk of opening outside of the already saturated dessert areas (New Territories as previously mentioned and Ice & Vice are both pretty close to here), but I will definitely add this to the regular rotation of great ice cream spots to consider when it's time for something sweet.
So excited that Wowfulls opened up their first brick & mortar in the lower east side! The very first time we tried them was when they were a vendor at the indoor Smorgasburg - industry city 3 years ago. They took a popular Hong Kong egg waffle "Gai Dan Jai" and modernized it with different flavors topped with delicious ice cream & toppings! They have expanded to doing Smorgs outdoors, wedding & private events. Their waffles are made to perfection. What they bring different to this store is their new coconut flavor & coffee flavored waffle. The coconut is incredible. They use real coconut flakes in it & the taste is subtle- not overbearing at all. The ice cream they use is from Max & Mina's, which is legit amazing. The combo we got was the coconut waffle with Cap'N crunch cookies & cream , which went really well together. Also try the Green Tea Lemon- it goes really well with the coconut waffle also.
I saw this once at a food festival but was waay too full to try it but then searched it up and realized they had a store. This place is amazing! They use a bubble waffle as s cone which is super filling, perfect enough to share with another person!
So glad they finally opened a store! Now I have more options for dessert when I'm in LES. The store is very Instagram worthy. From the heart wall, to the white brick wall with the aesthetic decor, even down to the tiles on the floor. They have different flavored eggettes including: original, coconut and coffee. I love that they have such diverse ice cream flavors. I opted for the coconut eggettes and the Captain Crunch Cookies and Cream with strawberries, condensed milk, rainbows sprinkles, and Oreo for toppings. The overall presentation is so nice and eyecatching. I was standing outside with my friend and most people who passed by were staring. The dessert itself was good. The ice cream flavor was the best part for me. Coconut eggettes had a hint of coconut in it - I would've liked it more if the coconut was stronger. This is a really heavy dessert so I would recommend sharing with someone.

Great spot and awesome employees!! I went today for the $5 wowfull special. Didn't disappoint, although I did get a weird combination of icecream and drizzle ; cookies and cream and matcha drizzle (don't try that lmao). Once the drizzle was gone it was great haha. The coconut bubble waffle was pretty good as well. Because of the wait, one of the cashiers offered a free scoop, didn't pass that up! read more
This place was a mission to find. Also pretty difficult to park by here on weekends. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Waited to order about 10 minutes and then waited another 15 for the order to be ready. I was kinda expecting something different, potentially a filling inside the wowfulls, but they were empty which was slightly disappointing. Overall it was good. Really cool idea and very nice presentation. When u eat the wowfull and the ice cream together it's really good. I'd come back to try another flavor. read more
The place is small and if you don't look closely you'll probably just pass by it. The small location gets filled up quick but you attended fast. The ice creams are pretty good & filling, I honestly couldn't finish mine. It is not messy, thank god for another brilliant idea. The ice cream is literally one scoop but you a good size waffle cone & than comes the toppings. You can either build your own or choose from a special menu. The flavors in my combo went well, I had the 'original waffle with double cookie & cream ice cream topped with mini marshmallows & strawberries' ... read more
The egg waffles were a perfect consistency of crispy on the outside and fluffy and eggy on the inside! Reminded me of one of the best egg waffle places I've tried in Hong Kong. They recently added Thai tea flavored ice cream and they captured the flavor perfectly without being overly sweet. Loved his ideas for his store - you can tell he put a lot of thought and care into the products. The result is me devouring the whole thing even though I was already stuffed from dinner. Definitely come give them a try! read more

Wow!!! These Wowfulls are out of this world!!! The line may be long but it's so worth the wait. I ordered the matcha green tea Wowfull with vanilla ice cream. I got all kinds of toppings- strawberries, white chocolate chips, Chocolate sauce, condensed milk, green tea pocky sticks. After watching them make the Wowfulls I could of added even more items!! It all looked so delicious. The wowfull (waffle) itself had bits of white chocolate chips inside and the flavors were together were great. There was a special ice cream choice but the decision making process seems to go by so fast that I didn't even ask about my options. The stand is set up like an assembly line and each station seems to pull off their job effortlessly. Wowfulls was one of my main stops at Smorgasburg and I was so happy!!! read more

We got the holiday cheer egg waffel and icecream and its good. I especially enjoyed my fruit pebbles icecream. I do wish they have more asian flavors tho, like black sesame or red bean. And just a tip for all the instagrammer. Its better to put the waffel on a holder to take a photo than hold it in the air. I cant find a great backdrop that goes well with my food-in-air photo. read more

Our experience really was WOW... We visited on National Ice Cream Day. It was insane. Line around he block. The manager Dave was AWESOME. We scored a behind the scenes view of the magic in action. All of the employees were professional and patient explaining the process and flavors, even though there was a mega crowd waiting for their delicious concoctions. I was mainly impressed that the waffle held my ice cream without dripping until the very last bite. The waffle was warm and chewy wth a crispy edge. The texture and flavor was indescribably. My waffle flavor was coconut- it freaking smelled and tasted so good. It was hard to pick a flavor because the you want to try so many combinations. In the end we chose three combos Coconut waffle with crazy vanilla ice cream, strawberries, pineapples, and some condensed milk. Oh and strawberry pocky stick Chocolate waffle with Double Oreo ice creaM, Oreo sprinkles, and chocolate drizzle with vanilla pocky. Coconut waffle with Cookie Captain Crunch ice cream, Oreo sprinkles, and caramel drizzle with macha green tea pocky. read more

Egg waffles was my childhood food and being presented this new twisted on it, I definitely had to try it! We got there pretty late, like an hour and a half before closing so they were basically running out of everything. Customer service was excellent, they were really friendly and was helpful in helping me fulfill my request for ice cream. I got the green tea waffle with ice cream, mochi, and pocky. I didn't taste the green tea at all in the egg waffle and it was a bit more crunchy side and emptiness on the inside (that I can understand because it would've probably taken longer to make). Nonetheless I liked it. read more

Have to say a great spot for sure. We've been there three times already since they've opened. Best times to go for us is before the 3pm rush of kids during the weekdays...LOL Waffles are fresh and D'lish! Home sweet Home, Coconut & Coffee.... My favorite by far is the Coconut! Cool favors of Ice Creams to choose from. Plenty of tops (as many as you want). 3 flavors of drizzles.... My kids love this place! Owner is super friendly! Really a nice guy! Staff is friendly and patient (they explain how it works and the favors). You can try any ice cream as well if your unsure of what to order. Place is trendy/clean with great wall art on the wall when you walk in. Was there today with my 9 year old daughter who wanted to treat/share the fun with her BFF. Definitely worth it - just to see the smiles on their faces! The simple things in life Dessert! read more

Had my first experience with Wowfulls at Smorgasburg! We went around 5:15pm on a Saturday and there was no wait. The wowfulls are $9 and comes with your choice of ice cream, drizzles, and optional add-ons. When we went, they offered original or pumpkin spice waffles and we went with the latter with deep dish apple ice cream. Since you're allowed to choose as many drizzles and optional add-one as you desire, we got condensed milk, caramel, sprinkles, and fruity pebble dust. The wowfull was great--between the pumpkin spice waffles and the ice cream that tasted like a slightly tarter version of apple pie, the dessert felt like an appropriate fall treat. I also liked the cinnamon crunch they added for the pumpkin flavor, but sadly couldn't really taste the drizzles or the optional add ons. Also enjoyed the cookies and cream pocky that they stuck on. Looking forward to trying more flavors and combinations! read more

Lovely little shop. It was a big ice cream for only one spoon. The waffle was delicious. My kids order the ice cream I got the milkshake. Both were very tasty. Service was great, we met the owner and had a nice chat. read more

Wowfulls combines ice cream with the beloved Hong Kong waffles or gai dan jai. Like an ice cream shop, there are a number of cones aka waffles to choose from--original, coconut, or coffee which are best served hot and fresh from the waffle maker. Next is the ice cream which is where they get really creative with flavors like cotton candy pop rocks and Madagascar bold. Lastly, the ice cream is topped off with any combination of toppings with a drizzle and a pair of Pocky! Overall, it is on the pricey side, but the price is fixed and anyone can choose as many toppings as they like on their wowfull. The smell of the waffle as its being made is everything and makes it that much more exciting to eat. The biggest appeal is the instagram worthy visual, but it is not up to par for hardcore ice cream enthusiasts who eat ice cream for flavor or texture. It is definitely a unique and fun confection worth trying and experiencing. read more

With the bubble waffle trend arising and a day to go out with my brother, I took an opportunity to finally take part in this craze. I originally wanted to try Eggloo, but Wowfulls had a limited time red velvet waffle option that I couldn't resist. When I arrived at the shop, it was a bit smaller than I expected, but it had very cute and eye-catching decorations (also ideal for pictures). The menu had a wide range of exotic and tempting options that weren't too pricey but also not too cheap. When my waffle was finished, I was amazed by how elaborate and colorful it was. It looked like a dessert dream come true! When it came to actually eating it, it was a little bit cumbersome. With a few brownie bites and crumbs falling, it was hard to bite the waffle. But they had little holders to put your cone in and color-changing spoons (really cool!). Ultimately, the bubble waffle and ice cream were both aesthetically and deliciously pleasing. There is a good variety of flavors and toppings for a reasonable price, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back again, but next, I will give Eggloo a try and hope I have another session of heaven. read more

I created my own wowful w. the classic and strawberry shortcake ice cream. Added gummy bears and mini marshmallows w. Condensed milk drizzle. I will say they fell a little short with my condensed milk drizzle. Besides that I would definitely go again. The waffle is made right on the spot so it's nice and fresh and fluffy. It's a small spot so it gets crowded pretty quickly. read more
Tried it for the first time yesterday and it was so good! I actually had a waffle on it's own since I wasn't feeling too well. Definitely what I needed to warm myself up and enjoy a light dessert. Growing up with Chinatown egg waffles to this mixture & ice cream is such an amazing idea! If you've never had one before, you're missing out! read more

Loved this ice cream!! The place was super small but the workers were nice and honestly it wasn't much of a wait for the cones. It was nice for it to be a fully open space to see exactly what was going on back there. They had a bit of seating area and even water with lemon for customers waiting or wanting to wash down the ice cream. The cones were SUPER instagram worthy, they made for great pictures and videos. The cream was creamy and even with all the toppings it wasn't too sweet. Glad we came to check it out, will deff be returning read more

After trying Cauldron Ice Cream in California, I was really excited about trying Wowfulls since they operate based on same concept - I also had a semi-high expectation (semi-high being that west coast just makes everything better). Even though Wowfulls did not taste as good, I was definitely still sold on the first bite! I ordered Match Green Tea with White Chocolate Chip plus Fruity Pebble dust! The waffle itself was pretty sturdy - it didn't fall apart at all in the process of me eating AND it tasted great! The green tea wasn't overpowering or not enough - it was just a perfect amount! The ice cream tasted pretty good too and most importantly - it did not melt quick so I still had the time to scoop of piece of the waffle to eat with the ice cream. The only reason why I gave it a 4 stars was because I want to see them have more ice cream flavor options besides the very basic flavors. Other than that, I love it and will definitely be back when it's warmer! read more

They've got a variety of toppings to choose from, and the dessert you get is amazing both look-wise and taste-wise. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The indoor space feels a little bit small, but i think it's mostly because they are popular with a lot of customers. Personally I would recommend having mochi as one of your toppings - it's delicious and adds a whole new texture read more

This was such a great treat! Totally worth the price and the wait. My biggest regret is not leaving a top when I paid. They took great care in making this and attention to detail. It was perfect. Wow!!!! I'm definitely not one to buy into the Instagram hype, but Wowfulls makes me believe in it. Not only does it look perfect, but it's genuinely delicious and pretty well-priced (well, for NYC standards) for how much you're getting. Service is quick, but lines form fast especially during the summer. It's a small place, with like 5 bar seats pushed to the side. These get grabbed up fast. Workers are all super friendly and seem to be college students or high school students. It's pretty fun watching them work in the back. They're happy to give samples of the ice cream flavors! Water is provided at the front. And wow, what a treat!!! The textures work really well, and the waffle is surprisingly delicious. I would never consider myself a waffle person, but now I consider myself a Wowfulls waffle girl. I have brought my sister here and converted her as well. I though the ice cream was delicious, and the toppings were also super good. Way better than Eggloo, which just didn't hit the spot for me. There's some real flavors in the waffle, ice cream, and the toppings. Also general good vibes from the cute lil' store! If you're overwhelmed, I recommend sticking to the set combinations on top, or tasting some of the ice cream but sticking to those toppings. They really work! I've never been disappointed. Presentation was super super nice and it actually wasn't too hard to eat with the paper sleeve. tl;dr - come here, take photos, enjoy the delicious combination of toppings, ice cream, and waffle, and then jump on the hype train for this amazing store. read more

So I have no idea what I was thinking, piling everything that I did into this cone... but it did, and it was not a disappointment. I was first introduced to wowfulls at the Brooklyn Smorgasboard. The new store front located in the lower east side is small yet packs a punch of yummy when it comes to this fluffy treat. The waffles are airy and the best part about them is that you can pull each little waffle pocket apart as you enjoy them with your ice cream. It's fun to construct your own wowfull from the batter for your waffle, the drizzled sauces , fresh strawberries, ice cream flavor and crunchy add one like cookie crumble or fruity pebble cereal. The menu changes which is fun and leaves you coming back for more. Try the green tea lemon ice cream as well as the crazy vanilla ice cream. read more

Amazing place to check out for creative and delicious icecream. The staff works really well and efficient even with long lines of people. Cool concept but wasn't impressed. First off the line would not move. Took nearly 40 minutes to get a waffle with one scoop of ice cream for $9. I will admit it looks amazing and unique but it tasted mediocre. What brings my rating down is how long I waited. Also, my friend who ordered right after me never got his they apologized said they lost the ticket and would make his next...BUT then long his new ticket. They clearly need more people working to get things moving quicker and more organized. read more

A unique type of waffle cone sundae in the heart of the lower east side, a part of New York that actually still feels like New York rather than just some other generic city in America. Nice staff and the love walk great for photos. The ice cream is creamy and sweet and the waffle cone breaks into small pieces so it is easily shared. read more
