I liked the ice cream here, and I got their Flurrie that I think at the time their machine was recovering from just being broken so I think it came out a little meltier/not the same consistency as it probably does ( is what I'm hoping). It's cool they do a version of that, though, and they serve an important role in the community by offering a solid ice cream option. I think if I were coming to Williamsburg from somewhere else I'm not sure I would prioritize this place but I think it's really cute and the people are really friendly and they have some cool flavors so it's definitely worth checking out if you live nearby or come here enough. It definitely has a strong community feel to it. There's not a lot of space to sit (if any, if I remember) which is fine bc the park is not too far away! read more

Perfect summer experience here. The best soft serve i have had in the US. It is so deeply milky without being greasy. Panicked cuz i couldnt get sundae toppings on a cone and impulse got cherry dip for the first time ever. It was amazing DEVOURED In the park across the way. A nice, local ice cream shop close by where I performed. It was a great option to satisfy my craving during my four hour pre show downtime. I should've gotten a sugar cone but went for what sounded interesting--an ice cream brownie. It literally wasn't special...it was just frozen soft serve ice cream molded in a cupcake liner. I came here on a hot day so the line was a little long, but the wait was worth it! This ice cream shop is small (it's not a sit-down place) so there were only two people working at the time but they were very friendly and efficient. The ice cream was delicious, I just got a scoop of the Moose Tracks which really hit the spot. They have a ton of other options including soft-serve, shakes and flurries too! This ice cream shop actually fills a niche in the market which is TOPPINGS!! They have "flurries" where they blend the toppings into the ice cream. Yum! I had the Cthulhu which was chocolate ice cream with Oreos blended in, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream, and it was sooo good. I wish I had one of these closer to my neighborhood! January through March 2024, Bordertown Brooklyn is hosting a breakfast taco pop up here on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays 8am until they sell out (10:30am/11am). I know that's vague, but it tastes of nostalgia. There's a cute park in front to sit at and vibe tf out. The chocolate ice cream was one of the best I've had in a while, so rich... oof. I wish it was the scoop at the top of my cup rather than the scoop on the bottom. Scoop position is KEY guys... The strawberry was good, but a bit too artificial for my taste. I was craving ice cream so on my usual 5 or 6 mile walk that I do everyday ever since covid took a different route and decided to taste some ice cream. I passed by this place before and always see people by it so I decided to check it out. I couldn't decide on the flavor for the longest time. Finally decided on the flurry ice cream and the oreo mixed together. I also got the strawberry + vanilla shake. Both were great especially for a nice warm day. The flurry ice cream tasted like the one you can get from McDonald's. The pricing wasn't ridiculous either unlike other places which charges an arm and a leg. I went in today just get a soft serve ice cream. I got there before 8:50pm. There was roughly about 7 people ahead of me. After ordering there was more people coming in. People that get scoop ice creams will get there's before soft serve or I was told only ONE person work with soft ice cream while 13 people got there's and your waiting over 15 minutes. It's sad how 2 people came in and DiDNT PAY but at least they got there hard scoop ice cream. What got me was the 3 ladies that came with there dogs and literally 15 minutes of my waiting and them 5 minutes. No thank you to a service like this. A great new ice cream option just opened in Greenpoint, serving soft serve and hard ice cream. They serve up some nice hearty scoops and pretty twists of chocolate and vanilla, but most importantly, they make a nicer version of a McFlurry (a Flurrie here), complete with that same spoon and similar mix-ins and everything. Located right across the street from a park, there are big rushes of families for sure, but it's worth the wait for a great dessert from a nice new small business. read more

I'm so mad I missed this place initially when I moved into the neighbourhood because they're only open from 2-8 PM! Maybe one day I'll stray from the shakes and red raspberry sorbet freeze but... I just can't. They're a very cute ice cream shop that is tiny and retro-styled inside, but given pandemic procedures, they operate from their front windows. They really don't have any vegan options other than the sorbet, so this might not be the place to go to if you're into that-- but their offerings are always delicious. Always. Trust me. I'm not a soft-serve fan, but my partner and another one of my friends is, and they've both had the soft serve here and have told me it is *REAL* delicious soft-serve. None of that fake Mr Tastee stuff, this is full dairy, full stop. The workers are nice, everything here is delicious, but stop by before Nov 1st because they're going on maternity leave until the spring of 2021! read more

Love coming here whenever I'm craving some good soft serve but noticed that servings have decreased in size. Just went yesterday and the standard size for soft serve has gotten much smaller than it used to be. I was also met with some attitude when I asked for a little more toppings for my cone. Walked in to get some ice cream and I couldn't help but notice the place smelled like shit, like literal diarrhea. Then I noticed there was a lady in front of me with her dog inside of a carriage and her dog took a shit inside of the carriage or something because she was grabbing napkins and pulled out a plastic bag then she said "stinky" . I immediately walked out without the ice cream. For the love of God put up a sign that says NO DOGS and enforce it. I had 8 stars in their system. They decided to move their system to a 10 punch card. They saw that in their system that I had 8 stars and said, well you're right, but we'll honor only 4 stars. I am amazed that they did that to a returning customer. Did they think that it would sit well a customer to not honor the money a customer spent? That's so wrong. My friend and I stopped in during a hot Saturday afternoon and the woman working was making a delicious looking ice cream cake with a layer of rainbow sprinkles - my favorite! Their hard ice cream flavor list wasn't too extensive and they offer samples. They also list a few specialty sundaes and offer vanilla, chocolate and swirl soft serve. I couldn't decide between the two and the woman offered I could have a swirl of soft serve topping my hard ice cream. My friend opted for this option and loved it! I had a mint chocolate chip cup with rainbow sprinkles and it was perfect! Very generous potion for a single scoop serving! Finally got around to trying this new spot and we loved it. Great soft serve, fair prices and the owner, Kate was very nice indeed. I had a "Flurrie" which is her take on a DQ Blizzard and it was bang on, and a steal at five bucks! The soft serve the kids had went down a treat too. In short, this place is legit. Forget Davey's or Van Leewen, this is a proper neighborhood spot, where you won't get banged out for seven bucks a cone. read more

The wonderful lady behind the counter reminds you that there are peanuts in Moose Tracks to make sure you don't have any allergies, and lets you know that she'll put your small order into a large bowl, since you ordered Oreo topping, so that the cookies don't get everywhere. "It will look smaller, since it's a big bowl, but it's still a good amount of ice cream," she explains. Then proceeds to generously construct the bowl with scoops of ice cream, whipped cream, and Oreo crumble so fully that the architecture of the large size can only be imagined. There's a simple, genuine love for the customer here, and an artisanal confidence in the ice cream. The Screen Door wants to 'wow' you. They want you to see the ice cream and smile, and take a bite and grin. The ice cream is great, and it feels great. I love ice cream, so have been to a handful. I'm an ice cream snob and always felt soft serve was beneath me but The Screen Door has totally changed my mind. Get a vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles in a cake cone and you'll be instantly transported to the simpler times of your youth. The orange freeze and root beer float are spot on and their hand scoops (particularly the coffee) are great too! It's a fringe item, but skip the egg cream. Got one yesterday and it was all wrong. Very plain ice-cream and it was very sugary. They have this new thing, that's like Froz-fruits from the deli (just more expensive), you can dip it in things and I got once mango dipped in cherry.
