Another day, another BK cafe heehe - a cafe I wanted to go to was randomly closed so went down the block & found pie corps! I got an iced latte with oat milk (extra cinnamon OFC!) and a spinach feta pie! They have other savory pies for a quick breakfast such as bacon, egg & cheese, kale/goat cheese, chicken pot pie, etc! My spinach feta was delicious and warmed up which made it 10x better! The shop itself is pretty small, more of a pick up to go kind of place -- the fridge is filled with slices of sweet pie -- the mixed Berry caught my eye & I ended up getting a slice for my mom to try! She said it was sooo good! They have outdoor seating (a couple tables & chairs) so my friend & I ended up enjoying our coffees outside! They also were super nice to my pup & brought her out a treat & whipped cream which I appreciated! Will def be back to try more items!! read more

My friend and I bought a bunch of pies and cakes from here and they were all stale and mediocre. Tried the pistachio cake and it tasted sour, definitely expired. The pumpkin pie was worse than a supermarket pie. Place looks like a dump too. read more

Pie Corps makes my mouth water just writing this review. I recently was invited to a neighborhood Pie Corps Pop-Up. Pie Corps provided Mini Pies for the event. The selection of pies included Pumpkin, Blueberry, Apple Crumb and S'Mores. Each person had to select one. Because my daughter wasn't home from work yet I was permitted to take one for her. The limit was set at two per person so everyone could sample the pies. I selected the S'Mores and I took the Pumpkin for my daughter. I had mine for dessert and I was in heaven! The Graham Cracker Crust, Chocolate Filling and Marshmallow Topping were not too sweet. The Marshmallow texture was just like a marshmallow toasted on a campfire. It's hard to photograph pulling it apart while I was drooling eating it!! I'm definitely recommending their pies. The mini is like having the perfect slice of pie to satisfy my craving for dessert. I'd love to try the rest of their pies! I'm sure I would get the S'Mores again! read more

This place has been around since I was a kid! Had a Nutella latte and it was delicious! I have a chocolate sweet tooth and absolutely enjoyed this drink. Great pies. The fruit fillings and chocolate fudge mini pies are an awesome way to sample their offerings without getting a whole pie. Tried the apple crumb, blueberry, chocolate fudge and chocolate raspberry fudge which are all great. My favorites are definitely the apple crumb and fudge which aren't too sweet, at least not in my opinion, but just right. I prefer more sweet fudge in my pies than a bittersweet chocolate taste, which Pie Corps delivers. They also have apple and chocolate pies on a stick in case you need a fix while on the run. Definitely will return for future pie needs. They don't have much space to sit down, if visiting, plan to wait or eat quickly. read more

I've been coming here for 4 years. I knew the old owners & know the new owners. They are all nice people. I always come here for a cup of coffee or an iced latte. And I'm always satisfied with it. But today was a big NNNNNAAAHHHH....Today when I came I ordered an iced latte with less ice. I left the counter less than 5 minutes to talk to the crossing guard lady. Come back and my order was ready. And when I looked at my iced latte I was very disappointed, it came out VERY PALE in color, tasted like milk. I couldn't taste the coffee. They are not busy at all. I'm the only customer there. But the barista tried to make herself look busy. By looking at her phone. Overall very disappointed!!! Hope the new owners read this post so that they can train the barista the proper way by not playing the phone while there was a customer there. read more

We tried the coconut custard pie, mixed berry and key lime. Also we took to go an almond croissant, and biscuit. The biscuit was a meh. Not enough butter. Maybe it is healthier this way, I dunno. The almond croissant is a yes. Got some layers and good crunch. The pies were obviously something I will come back for. The crusts, for me, were of the perfect thickness, and texture. The coconut pie, the filling was this light coconutty custard that makes you want to keep diving your fork in for another bite. It was my favorite, so we grabbed another mini pie to go. Two days later, we warmed it up in the toaster oven.... Yuuuuum! The pies aren't too sweet, which for me is heaven sent. What a sweet little shop. Just 1/2 a block from our local park. We had a busy afternoon, and couldn't walk too far from our house, so we stoped in for a light bite, and I wanted some hot tea on this drizzling chilly fall afternoon. The sitting area inside is designed for maybe 8 people, the front small counter is open to the back kitchen prep area. You can see the fresh dough being rolled and shaped into delicious pasticciere. Everything looks to be made fresh daily. My husband's ham and cheese on a croissant was made fresh and he said it was delicious, his orange juice was also very good tasted freshly squeezed. I chose a sandwich, my avocado toast with buffalo mozzarella and pumpkin seeds was outstanding, but a bit pricy $9. I came back for the pies...oh. My. God. They were so wonderful! The apple pie has a wonderful crumble top, big apple chunks, and the perfect amount of spice. I was craving apple pie, and this was the best one I've had in NY. The s'mores pie was the sleeper hit. I ordered it on a whim and it was so good. The dark chocolate filling was dense and rich and the marshmallow top had melted by the time I got home, but was still delicious! Really incredible overall. Finally, the key lime pie was solid. I've loved pie corps since I was their neighbor about 7 years ago- but I recently had one of the best meals of my life there so I decided it was time for a review! I rode my bike there after work on a really cold day, my hands were freezing. I picked up two slices of the lemon lavender to take home, and a kale and goat cheese hand pie to take and eat. On a cold day it was the most incredible thing- to have a hot little savory pie in my hands- it was delicious and I think that experience made it that much better. So I recommend getting a hand pie on a freezing cold day (or any other day as well lol). read more

My husband and I were so looking forward to trying this place. We ordered two chicken pot pies and two bacon, egg and cheese pies. They are pretty small but the price seemed reasonable. The chicken pot pie was completely dry and no taste to it. I don't know if they forgot to put in the sauce that day...I could only eat a few bites. My company has ordered pies from this place 2 years in a row now and both times they were great! Last year we tried the "pie pops" which were basically mini pies on a stick. They were cute and great for photos, but unfortunately didn't have much filling. This year we just got mini pies and they were amazing! Open at 8am on Weekdays and a bit later on Saturday and Sunday, the clientele partially foot traffic but also catering to call-ahead and special orders, those walking in to Pie Corps are greeted by a shabby-chic space with more than 3/4 dedicated to kitchen, one small table plus an outdoor bench actually a fairly generous offering considering the cost per square foot in one of New York's most gentrified areas. Appearing to be quite busy on this particular day, a few customers already seated and others packing up a sizable order just past 9:45am, it was with a brief detailing of the available choices that a young woman starred impatiently as decisions were made, each $5 slice cut so that ten could be made from a pan, though the first bites of the visit were actually from an Almond Croissant both topped and filled with sticky, sweet Frangipane. Not entirely sure how to take the fact that the Restaurant was offering day-old slices, though obviously most Pies should be able to withstand storage provided they are refrigerated, it was next in Pie Corps "signature" Rosemary-Apple Filling that appetites were invested by way of a Hand-Pie on a Stick, the Herbs a pleasant addition to the sweetness though it likely would have been better by the slice where it is topped in Streusel. Deciding to risk one pre-plated slice alongside one cut straight from the pan, the latter Pie Corps well-reviewed S'mores, suffice it to say that the pairing of Chocolate Ganache to a gooey, bruleed Frosting atop Graham Crackers works as well here as it does fresh from a campfire while the Bourbon Chocolate Pecan slice was unfortunately limp and soggy, though the light hint of Booze did do a nice job of mellowing out the sweet caramelized Nuts that would have been better matched to slightly more bitter brand of Chocolate. read more
