The counter was emptied when we first came but it filled up pretty quickly. We just got a matcha latte and one prix fixe menu to share. For the main dessert, we picked the chocolate and hojicha soufflé. The chocolate soufflé was light and airy and not too sweet. It paired very well with the hojicha ice cream and caramel apple on the side. Overall, all the dessert was pretty good but everything was very small and I don't think it tasted that good that it worth $30. The service was also not that great. My husband and I were a little confused when we first got into the store and we weren't sure if we needed to be seated. A lady that worked there saw us but never greeted us nor gave us water until we asked. It took a while for someone to acknowledge us and it just made us felt a little uncomfortable.

My friends peer pressured me to join them in grabbing a post-brunch dessert, even though we were so…read morefull, because they loved the pastries they had at Patisserie Tomoko previously.... what's another treat during the holidays, right? Interior was super cute and smelled amazing. The pastries all looked delicious, and I ended up getting a green tea crepe cake. The texture was perfect and had the perfect level of green tea flavor and wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Definitely understand the urgency in coming and was so happy we did!!

Penny has a really great approach to designing wedding cakes! During our consultation, we didn't…read morehave a very clear idea of what we wanted. Luckily, Penny was full of great ideas! She asked us questions about what vibe we were going for, what our venue was like, and what was important to us both aesthetically and sentimentally for the cake to reflect. We were already feeling pretty good about Penny after one phone call with her. THEN we tasted the cake. It was MUCH higher quality then the two other bakers we tasted cakes from. After that we were sold. We hired her to a design a wedding cake that reflected the venue (a rooftop farm in Brooklyn). She came up with the really cool idea of designing a cake that reflected the distinctive bluestone pathways and wildflower groves that distinguish the venue. I felt like I had a unique, meaningful work of art at my wedding! She handled all the logistics of getting the cake to the venue with our coordinators so we did not need to deal with any of that ourselves. Penny is a true pro!

The name illustrates its flavors and consistency exactly - the bar has this chewy cake base serving as a platform for the smooth, sweet, gooey, buttery amazingness that sits atop. The very top is golden brown perfection with its subtle caramelization adding a little extra something to the bar. Each bite taken melts in your mouth. Ohmygosh - its so good! The Gooey Butter Cake is $3.75 a slice - so it's not a 'purchase everyday' treat - but if you're out exploring East Williamsburg this weekend be sure to pick up a slice!

She was not wrong! My son has an egg allergy, so we decided on a vegan chocolate cake with a dairy frosting. She made a beautiful chocolate cake with the beautiful flowers on top. The cake tasted like a regular cake, and you couldn't tell it was vegan. It was just incredible. Amy's chocolate chip cookies are my favorite, and I also really enjoy her rosewater scones. The day I picked up the cake for my son's birthday, I also got my mom a slice of vanilla coconut cake which I froze for her visit 2 weeks later. She loved her cake, also. There is literally nothing bad you can have her, and her new partnership with Gratitude Leaves is amazing. Gratitude Leaves also has beautiful flowers, so you can get your cake and flowers at the same time.

They do have maybe 4 tables and some seating by the window for people to have coffee and a pastry but that's not what they are really set up for - no wifi and no restrooms for longer visits. They do have cute mugs ans cups and the place looks vintage and sweet. The coffee was just OK, lots of competition in Brooklyn but I don't have an overview on the cakes or pastries - something to try next time. For just the cafe, it's a-ok. Service wasn't at the table you go up to the counter and place your order and they make it for you

It's the tiniest little big shop with the most amazing breakfast burrito burritos. There's a lot of chairs set up outside so definitely better to come during the warmer months. However, it was worth it to bear the cold for this burrito. We came at opening and it was already wait, but we only waited about 15 minutes. The burrito itself is quite massive and definitely one to be shared. We got the add-on with avocado, which is a must. The burrito was very flavorful with a lots of different fillings - potatoes, chorizo, egg, and cheese. I also can't forget that this is a bakery after all, so we also ordered some baked goods. All of their butter mochis have an excellent texture and strong flavor. I'm only sad that I missed out on their signature pandan but I'm happy that I was able to try their ube. The s'mores brownie was everything I had hoped for and more. It had all the works - actual pieces of graham cracker, ooey gooey marshmallow, and a rich chocolatey brownie.

Even though they cannot warm it up, the texture is still perfect - crisp on the outside, soft and gooey on the inside with the chocolate chunks melted to the amount and a generous sprinkle of sea salt. The breakfast burrito was quite frankly... really disappointing. Other than the tortilla which was nicely toasted, the egg was a bit overcooked, the chorizo was a bit too much and not soft enough, and the I really wish they used crispy hash browns instead of potato chunks. The potato chunks felt a bit off and did not taste too good in the burrito. Right now, it's take out only with a couple of benches to sit outside. Wait time for a burrito is around 15 min.
