The ambiance of this place is super girly and pink oranges and blues. I loved the vibe. One of the cutest establishments I've gone to in a while. The menu was also very unique! They have tres leches everything. Cereal flavored everything. Everyone that I called and bought things home for enjoyed their drinks and cakes. The service was also outstanding the woman behind the counter was patient and kind with me taking a minute to figure out what I wanted. The menu was so cool that I had lots of questions about everything on it I will 100% be back here again next time I am in the area. Truly a great experience. Me and my mom were in the area and I saw this bakery shop and stopped in. The décor was beautiful and they had lots of seating for you to relax and enjoy your treats. There were a few people ahead of us and most of them were getting the Dominican coffee. Me and my mom opted for some baked goods. My mom bought a cookie and I got the banana nut bread. My mom said her cookie was just okay. However, my banana bread was delicious. Of course, after the fact I read that they are known for their tres leches which I will definitely try on the next visit. I came here and I must say, I was unsure of what to expect. First I was in the area which is why I stopped by. So I ordered the cuarto leche latte and that was amazing. I still think about how delicious it was. Secondly we ordered two different flavors of tres leche, I ordered the regular and my niece ordered Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavor. I liked my cake but I wanted to try other flavors like passion fruit or guava. The cake was fine had alot of liquid but I would have liked the texture of the cake to be more airy and the frosting of the cake was different than the other tres leche which I have tasted. The employees were very nice and patient because I didn't know what I wanted. The place is very nice and I would definitely recommend staying there to enjoy your dessert. Finally got a chance to visit this place. Found this place on tik tok a while back but they used to close by 5pm so there was no way I was making it. Luckily they changed the hours to 8pm. I was lucky enough to stop by when the owner was there. Very sweet and friendly person! She mentioned they will be changing hours soon since it is getting darker earlier. Completely understand for safety reasons. I grabbed the tres leche cake to go. It is a beautiful place to sit down and eat but I had to head back to work. After a $1 ish tip the total was about $13. How was the cake? AMAZING! So delicious. But, I cannot forget about the pricing. I should have taken a picture of the size but for me, it is too small for the price. I've been seeing this all around social media about how amazing it is and finally got to try it this weekend. I got the pina colada tres leches cake and the 4 leches cake. The pina colada one was interesting with bits of pineapple and coconut flakes on top but flavor wasn't great. The 4 leches which seems like their top hit was also just way too sweet. The cakes were too dense. Unfortunately, they are not worth $12. I also ordered their 4 leches latte which was pretty good! It gave this place an additional star. Cute small shop. Ordered the blueberry matcha latter which was amazing and different. Also ordered 3 different cakes: 4 leches, biscoff and chocolate. The favorite was definitely the 4 leche. It was more wet and less cakey than expected or used to. Service was fast though there was no one there and server gave good recommendations based on what was popular. I will add that the bags need to be reinforced as 3 cakes in there tore the bag and I dropped the cakes on my walk back to the car so be careful when carrying more then two as it seems to be too much weight for the bag. read more

The ambiance is very pretty, smells absolutely amazing in there just like the aromas of vanilla and coffee just spreading around the entire place. The front service girls were very friendly and pleasant, kind and patient I was behind another girl in line and as she received her order she pointed out something she may have not wanted and the girl working the front fully acknowledged if she wanted that item and the girl responded no and immediately issued a refund and I thought that was pretty great to see! They have a beautiful espresso machine and serve some great drinks. I opted for the 4 leche latte and a pb&j tres leche and WOW sooo good. Sweet & Things Review Today, after much anticipation, I finally had the chance to visit Sweet & Things. The aesthetic was on point, earning a solid 8.7/10 in the ambiance category--definitely Instagram-worthy. However, when it came down to the nitty gritty, the quality didn't quite meet the vibe. I reviewed two cakes: the Cookies & Cream and the 4 Leches. Right from the first bite of the Cookies & Cream, I could tell something was off. The scoop lacked flavor and richness, and there was no creamy movement or depth you'd expect from a dessert like that. It tasted... plain. Next up was the 4 Leches. It did offer more flavor than the first, but still fell short--bland, and unfortunately it started to upset my stomach. It made me wonder if the batch was stale or just not stored properly. On top of that, the pricing was steep, coming out to around $12 for a very small portion. Compared to an establishment like Tres Leches Café in Harlem, which offers larger, more flavorful servings for less than half the price, Sweet & Things doesn't offer much bang for your buck. Overall, while the visual presentation and environment were beautiful, I'd categorize Sweet & Things as more of an Instagram spot than a go-to for high-quality desserts. Final rating: 5/10. Atmosphere is nice. I can see people coming here in groups for a small getaway from the neighborhood. But my issue is the price of the 4 leches and it's taste. 12 dollars for one is pretty steep. And to be honest , I wasn't blown away by it and have had better. Maybe the packaging is the issue. It's inside of a to go cup so everything is mushed together. You don't get to appreciate the presentation of this desert. The coffee is good. Fresh tasting and decently priced. Everything else seems to be decently priced except for the 4 leches. But def give it a try. Support small and local businesses. read more
