My regular cafe by work was closed for renovations so my coworker recommended this cafe instead. It's a little bit of a further walk but I desperately needed a coffee! I preordered two lattes & walked in to a welcoming barista who asked me to kindly wait as he was training new employees! The place itself has a nice ambiance & would be cute to sit in and get some work done! Next time, I'd want to try out the food menu items / baked goods!

The greatest grilled cheese sandwiches made with texas toast. Posted to my grilled cheese subreddit & got great responses. Overall good ambiance inside the cafe, very comforting and homey vibe. Have not tried the coffee or anything just the grilled cheese.

Great coffee, super sweet owner, cute pastries, and a perfect ambiance for studying, working, reading, meeting with friends, or anything similar. Absolutely love this place, I stop by whenever I'm in bushwick. Wish I lived next door, I'd be there every day if I did.

One of my go to's in the area! The items on their menu are listed at a great price, and the vibes here are amazing. They have local art posted on the walls and even host events! I usually get their blt, which has yummy bread and crispy bacon (just the way i like it) but my friends and family love their egg sandwich. Ian is great!!

What an place! The first thing you'll notice walking in is the eclectic decor. Tons of handmade drawings, abstract art, and fun furniture pieces! It's actually a surprisingly huge space, and there are plenty of tables and free wifi to do some work or study in! Was immediately greeted by a friendly barista upon entering. The menu had your classic coffees and bakery options, and the place also had a separate fridge for canned/bottled drinks, as well as a ton of cart snacks and desserts available for purchase. I was feeling hungry and got a breakfast sandwich -- it came with 2 huge eggs, tomato, spinach, and the barista threw in free vegan cheese! It came on a multigrain bagel that had dried cranberry pieces, and that was a lovely touch to the savory sandwich. The eggs were probably unseasoned -- which wasn't a huge deal, but it gave a largely egg white taste. The sandwich was toasted and a nice portion! My friends got the medium flat white and large americano, both of which were tasty and quoted "you can tell these are high quality beans." I'd definitely love to come back to try more of the menu!

Located off the beaten path in Brooklyn, the Caffeine Underground is known as the first cafe in NYC that offers CBD drinks. Intrigued and curious, we came here on a Saturday afternoon to check it out. It was nice and cozy inside, and to my surprise, not only did this place offer CBD drinks, but it also offers reiki twice a month from 5pm to 8pm, as well as Kundalini yoga, Vinyasa yoga and Yin / Yang yoga Monday thru Thursday. We ordered the CBD latte and the drinks were smooth. At around 6:30pm, there was a live musician, so the place was a bit loud by then. But nevertheless, this is an overall well rounded cafe where it's appropriate to bring your laptops in and do some work, chill and hangout with friends, relax with regular or CBD drinks, as well as an opportunity to do some yoga & reiki. This place is definitely a gem. If you're located outside of this neighborhood, it's recommended to take the J train as opposed to the M train because the walk from the M train station is very quiet and it will take you past some funeral homes, and churchyards, etc. Check in on Yelp for 10% off anything.

Super duper cute coffee shop with wifi for unlimited working! My favorite part about this cafe is there is uniformity. All chairs are different. All tables different. The grungy type feel it gives me makes me feel most comfortable. They have event nights which I COINCIDENTALLY fell into. It was tarot night. I was the first person there at 5pm. Then all the sudden there were people trickling in having their cards pulled. I didn't catch the owners ( I thinks was the owner ) name but he was very nice. Very fair prices and plenty bevs and snacks to choose from.

Some of the worst tasting coffee and weird service honestly. Whole place has the smells like an old bushwick ashtray.

I'm not a fan of the drip coffee, though in general I'm very particular about my coffee. Everything else is delicious!

It shares a similar vibe and atmosphere to other Brooklyn smoothie and juice shops. And they have the lovely patties like jerk plantain, ackee, and more. I checked the menu ahead of time, but my niece and I found ourselves studying it hard when we walked in. So many options! I decided to get a pumpkin spice patty (new to me), oxtail patty, and protein shake. My niece got a red velvet pastry and acai bowl. My patties and smoothie came out in about 10 minutes, and my niece received her pastry when we paid. The acai bowl took quite a long time, but I did notice that it was advertised as being new on their menu. The gentleman that took our order was literally the only one in the cafe, and quite a line formed after we got settled, so power to him! If you walk to the back of the cafe, you will see a door that says the patio is open, and it was a lovely area to sit at. It was hilarious to hear a rooster nearby, feeling just like the islands. The pumpkin spice patty was delicious, but the oxtail patty stole the show. It was also a Haitian style patty, so it was nice to have that since it's so rare for me. My shake had peanut butter and protein in it, so it was heavy, but it was so yummy. My niece liked her pastry and her soluble, although there was some unblended acai in there. They'll get it right. I would definitely return to this cafe, and I hope they continue to do well!
