Been wanting to visit after hearing such good things - the line ~7:30/8pm on a Saturday wasn't too bad and moves fairly quickly. You can check out their Instagram for the sundae specials but would recommend getting one of their scoops. The toppings are included in the price - the Panna (whipped cream) is apparently the must get.
Caffé Panna is a bit overhyped in my opinion. The panna-style approach just wasn't for me, and overall I didn't find it as impressive as expected. It's worth trying once, but I wouldn't rush back.
Best ice cream in NYC imo! Super creamy and fresh ice cream and the flavors are always changing. The panna & adding hot fudge is such a good addition to the ice cream. The panna and cream is my favorite classic and this nutella chip was phenomenal as well. Always happy to wait in line here after we eat it and I recommend it to all! Theres water inside and space to eat inside too. Service has always been solid!
I'm honestly pleasantly surprised by how good this was. The line is definitely a bit daunting at first, but it moves super quick and I was able to get in and out in about 10 minutes. This is one of the creamiest and silkiesrt ice creams I've ever had. I love that they switch out their flavors often so I can keep trying something new. I'm just sad that I misswd the mango sticky rice this time around, but was able to try some other unique flavors. I ordered the hazelnut crunch and brown sugar coffee. Both had the best consistency and I enjoyed the bit of texture in there. I didn't realize that toppings were free so I missed out on it this time, but I'll definitely be back.
I thought I had high expectations for Caffe Panna going in and it was even better than I expected!!! I ordered the red flag with caramel, sprinkles, and panna. The tiny scoop was the perfect amount to satisfy my ice cream fix. I was so pleasantly surprised by the fact that 3 toppings were included for the $6.50 price (a scoop at Van Leeuwen's is more with none of the fixings!) The ice cream itself was the best I've ever had. Sooo creamy and flavorful. I will say the red flag felt a little too jam-heavy to me towards the end, but loved its cheesecake-esque flavor otherwise. The main reason it took me so long to try Caffe Panna was the daunting line... but even though it looked long we didn't wait much longer than 10 minutes (it was absolutely worth it). They also had an extra employee outside taking orders which was much appreciated to keep the line moving! I'll definitely be back here very soon.
Caffe Panna has one of the best, if not the best, ice cream I've ever had. It is so creamy and thick, and their flavors area always fun and innovative. I have yet to be disappointed! This location's ordering station is outdoors, but is connected to a seating area inside, which is clean, spacious, and very convenient! I also love that all their scoops come with panna (mandatory, must get), a drizzle, and a crunchy topping. It is a really fun way to personalize your sweet treat fully to your liking. On this day, I had the Blueberry Brioche with panna, fudge, and Oreos. THIS WAS AMAZING. The blueberry brought such a nice tartness to the sweet ice cream, and the panna is always incredible. The cream is soooso fluffy and light and adds the perfect sweet and richness to the dessert. The Tiny size is plenty, but it was delicious and I always find myself wanting more. Every time I have Caffe Panna, I am always reminded of why I love it so much and need to go more often.

Laab Bar Coconut Sticky Rice Sundae has: mango ice cream (sweet mango flavor, soft, and fluffy), coconut sticky rice arancini (lightly fried exterior, soft like white rice texture, seems to lack concentrated coconut milk flavor), mango coulis (thick fruit sauce), coconut caramel (nice blend of both), panna (soft cream), and toasted coconut (thin, crunchy, and addicting). There're staff to help you look at the menu, a window to place your order, and another window to receive food. If you want to eat inside, they can call your order from within. There's a high bar along the wall and a few tables.

They have their usual chocolate & vanilla, but they shine in their daily rotation of flavors, making every time back a new experience. There is a small seating space inside and they have a bathroom.

I appreciate the seasonal/limited edition flavors that they rotate through and it's fun to try them, though I think that some of them have a little too much panna to ice cream and it gets a bit overwhelming flavor wise. Service is pretty quick and there's a indoor area to eat the ice cream and also watch the workers make it from scratch, though it definitely fills up pretty quickly during the summer time. That being said, it's a lot quicker than the Manhattan location, which feels like there's perpetually a long line at all times. Definitely a very solid ice cream place that I think is worth trying for the unique flavors.

I'm now at a point where I check their IG story daily, waiting for the next best flavor to drop. Traditionally, I've been a Cookies n Panna warrior since the Grammercy days. I think the affogato with Cookies n Panna is one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. Get it with a heaping scoop of panna and your life will change. I've had many amazing pint flavors here, but I'd steer you away from the caramel or marshmallow centers. It can get a bit overwhelming (specifically thinking the banana pudding flavor they had that was one of two major flops, out of many successes). I have mixed feelings on the granitas, the coffee one that was a BK exclusive this summer was nice but I felt the granita was too liquid. I tried the melon one recently which had a much better consistency, but wasn't very flavorful. I also have been meh on their sundaes. The mango sticky rice was good but I think it was missing some condensed milk. The tiramisu was okay, but not super flavorful. That being said, I will never regret giving them my money. I fear I will never have ice cream this good again. Not to mention they have a lovely interior, online ordering, bathroom, and water for customers.

3.75 We saw the line along the side of the building, then around the corner, we placed our order by/at the window. There's an indoor space, with seating at 3 small tables or counter/stools along the wall. I got the Guava cheesecake empanada sundae - the description got me interested but a bit underwhelmed when I got it. Not a large sundae. Nice and creamy ice cream but the guava flavor wasn't noticeable; mostly from the guava drizzle which I wished there was more of. Too much graham crunch for me. Empanada was a tiny 2-biter but was good. My family decided they wanted to get ice cream scoops too at the last minute and didn't realize that toppings were included. Oh well. Would have made the prices more acceptable. Better off getting the "Regular" scoop @$9, which was double the size of the "Tiny" @$7. Aud's dream with peanut butter got a thumbs up but not the Cookies and Panna (other Oreo cookies and cream preferred). Water dispenser and cups available. There is a restroom. read more

Great ice cream! We got the guava cheesecake sundae, which was delicious. It had a guava scoop and cheesecake scoop, which went great together. The empanada on top added a nice crunch. The line was long but moved fast, it only took about 15 minutes to get the ice cream. Would 100% recommend! read more

Caffè Panna is worth the hype! Don't let the line deter you, it moves fast. There's also indoor seating area and a bathroom. My favorite is definitely Aud's dream - vanilla sweet cream with thick peanut butter swirl. I love how thick the consistency is and the flavors are rich and bold. read more

As a former manhattanite I prowled around the gramercy location frequently. It's fantastic that in BK Cafe panna has given me another location to prowl. Lines might look long but it moves fast. There's also just barely enough seating every time. The inside is pretty small but it's warm and has water and a restroom if you need it. Staff are very nice even if they frequently pronounce names wrong! Most recently had the sundae collab with fish cheeks. Peanuts and brioche were abundant! Delicious and a hefty serving. read more

Ice cream is thoughtfully flavored, stretchy, and rich. $9.25 for a reasonably sized serving, topped with the complimentary all-important whipped panna. You can add complimentary drizzles and crispies like crumbled graham crackers. There are daily rotating flavors, and I had something hazelnutty and something coffee oreo-y. Both were excellent. I came twice in quick succession (it's near Vital Climbing Gym!). There's some counter and table seating for around 15. This location might be an ice cream factory or test lab, and it's far less busy than the Manhattan location. read more
Don't get me wrong- I absolutely love Caffè Panna. However, the service here was less than subpar. I don't know who the male employee with the face tattoos & piercings is or exactly what his problem is but he was quite nasty speaking to my mother & I. When we asked for panna as the ice cream didn't come with it (albeit on their menu it says panna + 1 topping comes with every sundae), he laughed in our faces & goes you have to ask for it silly. I have to ask for it despite it saying it's included in the menu? Is he cheap, rude, obnoxious- maybe all of the above? Either way, it left a very sour taste in my mouth & I genuinely hope that the manager who I believe was this Asian lady at this location takes note & rectifies ridiculous behavior like this. read more
My friend and I came here on a Saturday night around 9pm. The line was around the block but it moved fast and took less than 10 minutes. Since we got there right before they closed, they were sold out of a lot of flavors. I ordered a tiny scoop of Aud's Dream (sweet cream ice cream with peanut butter swirl). All scoops come with whipped cream, a drizzle (I chose fudge), and a crunch (I chose Oreo pieces). There is some seating inside, but most people just ate their ice creams on the sidewalk. The ice cream was delicious; we thought it was creamier than most ice creams. I will definitely come back earlier in the day to try more of their flavors. read more
On Clinton St.'s IG page, I saw they had a collab with Caffe Panna and I knew i had to have it. Two of my favorite NYC spots joining forces is already dangerous enough -- but this blueberry pancake Sundae? This was a deadly level of delicious. The sundae was everything I hoped for and then some. The creamy, rich ice cream layered with that blueberry swirl, the crumble, the whipped cream, and the little pancake topper just brought it all home. I passionately hate that this was only a limited-time thing, but I'm grateful I caught it this weekend. I had to darn near shake the fabric of reality not to go back immediately for seconds. As of writing this, I'm already planning to return tomorrow before time runs out. Caffè Panna, please, I'm begging you. Bring this one back sooner rather than later. read more
In the summer the line can get pretty long. The ice cream and Panna are just so good. There are flavors they have daily and flavors that change daily. There is a small seating space inside to the side with view of the ice cream. They also have a bathroom. Service is fine but do expect to wait a 5 mins plus. read more
As a very proud midwestern where we pride ourselves in our dairy and ice cream, I was a bit skeptical and thought this was going to be an overhyped NY spot. I am not joking you, but this is my favorite ice cream EVER. I was in NY for a long weekend and had it two evenings in a row. I can attribute it to the Red Flag (sweet cream, strawberry swirl, house made graham crunch) because this combination is my all time favorite dessert combination. Yes, the lines are log, but it moves. This location compared to the Gramercy Park has an indoor area with a bathroom. The ice cream is indeed sweet, very fluffy, and the toppings are so fun to try! The first night I made the mistake of ordering a flavor I wasn't particularly interested in and then got the olive oil drizzle (so that was more like a 3.5/5 experience). I learned. I adjusted my order the second time around to get an original size of Red Flag, more strawberry swirl, cream, and the graham topping. THIS WAS ELITE. I will now be dreaming about this dessert spot until the next time I come visit. read more
I did not try the panna, but I had the matcha yuzu soft serve - it was really good! It's a pretty large portion, with a subtle matcha flavor and not too sweet. Honestly, I like Caffe Panna more for the experience than for the dessert! It's fun to wait outside in the line, usually late at night, and watch so many people satisfy their sweets craving. They have weekly changing flavors. You order at a window and wait for your order. There is a small indoor area with little seating and a bathroom. read more

I LOVEE the Gramercy location, so I had to pay the Greenpoint location a visit when I had dinner in the area. Long line, BUT it moves fast. After ordering at the register, you move to the next counter to wait for your order to be called. They also have a cozy indoor space next door that has a restroom. I got the Tiny, a perfect post-meal size, and ordered my usual fave, the Cafe Bianco Stracciatella, which has nice choc chunks throughout. I had my whipped cream on the side to try - it was good, but I was too full to finish it. My friend got their Red Flag, which has smashed graham crackers mixed to their strawberry ice cream, YUM! It feels "touristy" bc a lot of transplants live in the area..but it's worth the visit, don't be discouraged by the line! read more
One of my friends love Caffè Panna, and it's her favorite dessert spot in the city. I've had it before with her and a few other friends at their Manhattan location. We stopped by a bit later in the evening this past Sunday, and there was only a short line outside. Unfortunately, they were out of most of their daily flavors, but we still enjoyed a couple of their regular options. RED FLAG The Red Flag is under their classics and is offered always. This is their strawberry swirl ice cream mixed with graham cracker crunch and topped with their panna (I think). It was a bit too sweet, but the strawberry and crunch went well together. The panna was very creamy and looked like a scoop of ice cream, with a texture similar to whipped cream. Overall pretty good, and the portion was pretty big. PBJ SOFT SERVE I think this is more of their limited edition/daily flavor. I'm not a huge PBJ fan, but I really enjoyed the subtle peanut butter and the jelly swirls mixed into the very smooth and light vanilla soft serve. It was also topped generously with graham cracker crunch. We enjoyed this one more out of the two. There are different sizes available, and I'm not sure which ones we got, but we paid a bit more than $20 for both after tax. The amount we got was a perfect amount to share among 4 people. Their interior has limited seating and we had to wait around for previous parties to leave before snatching up the table like vultures. read more
Stopped by after lunch for a sweet treat after hearing amazing things about Caffe Panna and after having the hardest time choosing one flavor, I landed on the white sesame and fig, in the tiny size with olive oil and sea salt on top. Loved loved the white sesame ice cream which had sesame seeds mixed into the ice cream, giving it an amazing nuttiness and texture. The fig was also great, sweet and fresh, it added a great fruity flavor to the white sesame ice cream! I'll definitely need to be back to try the other gelato flavors and their seasonal sundae! Service is quick, ordering is outside and they'll call your name with your order is ready. There is also indoor seating with utensils and water. It's a great spot to stay a bit as well! read more
This was a delicious ice cream, but kinda pricey of course. The basic vanilla flavor allowed the ice cream and panna cream taste to shine through vs. other flavors. I would definitely suggest getting the 2 or 3 scoops for the $2~$2.50 more per scoop after the initial $6.50 hurdle (prices in March 2025) read more
Ice cream is my favorite indulgence. I would pick it over any other dessert. I would ( and have) eaten ice cream as the main meal. I cannot stress how particular I am about it. That being addressed, Caffe Panna offers the best ice cream in NYC. The flavors are incredible. Rotated weekly they never cease to amaze me with the creative, high quality flavors they serve. However, despite the incredible, unique stand out flavors that are on rotation their classics are above and beyond high quality, flavorful masterpieces of their own. When I am indecisive the classic chocolate with olive oil drizzle, sea salt and panna is my go to. Try it- you have to! There is often a long line, but do not despair, the counter servers move quickly and once you order at the cashier a server calls your name at the next window. There is some seating, a nice bathroom and always water available. Follow them on Instagram for the weekly menus and do not, I cannot stress enough, do not sleep on the sundaes! I honestly do not know how they keep coming up with these epic combinations but it is one win after another. read more
The second Caffe Panna location, this spot is in Greenpoint and the perfect spot to grab a sweet treat. They have an indoor seating section here, which is great. The menu items here are practically the same as their Manhattan location, and quality is the same. Amazing, rich and creamy ice cream as always and great topping choices. Love Caffe Panna! read more
