We typically get a dozen when we have parties to serve as appetizers, they're always a favorite! I was around in the area and I wanted to try something new. There are alot of new places I've never tried before in burbank, but most of them brunch places and apparently they all had +1 hr waits... Luckily when we got here it was before the lunch rush and we didn't need to wait that long. We ended up getting the beef, Carne con chili, cheese and spinach, and the quinoa and lentils. The best on was the cheese and spinach followed by the Carne one. Normally I don't like vegan items, but the quinoa and lentils was really really flavorful and delicious. They also have chimichurri sauce for you, which you need to try with the empanadas. I think everything is a hit at this place, and the fact that each one costs less than three bucks, you can try them all and still have money in the bank. The food here is great. The empanadas are well seasoned, have lots of flavor, and are pretty big in size. However, the price for them is becoming extremely expensive. At your local Latino store you can get this same empanadas for $2 each. But at world of empanadas you're looking at $5 for a singular empanada. I understand the cause of inflation and that our economy is currently suffering, but $5 an empanada is never justifiable. read more

These are the most authentic empanadas Ive tried, I love the fact that they bake them and don't deep fry them like some places. They have many flavors to try from, some of my favorites are the spicy potato, the beef and the spinach and cheese. This place use to be consistent. Now when I order it's a crap shoot if I even get my whole order let alone a sauce. Today I ordered a vegan soup and two vegan empanadas no sauce and more than half my soup is gone. The last time I ordered I was missing a empanada all together. This place was AMAZING!!! Was in Burbank so a friend and I stopped by to get some vegetarian and vegan empanadas. I got the combo meal where you get two empanadas, a side, and a drink. I got the soy chorizo and the pinto bean vegan empanadas, tortilla soup, and the hibiscus iced tea. This was SO FREAKING GOOD!!! Soup was a little spicy for my taste so I took the rest to go but the flavors of everything was on point. The service was impeccable! I asked if we got refills and even though they don't the girl that was working was kind enough to give both of us refills for our drinks :) I am so pleased with my experience here, I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in Burbank. Walked up to the pick up window, the guy opened the little screen, no greeting, no welcome, no confirmation that I was picking up a particular order, the guy just opened the screen, passed out the food in the ledge and closed the window. Ordered $40 worth of empanadas and food and was given a hard time about asking for more chimichurri sauce. They refuse to give me more than four small side of chimichurri and insisted that I pay three dollars extra for a large sauce. How can this be considering that I just spent $40 there on empanadas? Wowzaz!! These empanadas are so good! Unique and fresh! And super filling! There's a flavor for everyone so if you want chicken or beef? There's chicken or beef! How about veggie or vegan? I wish I lived closer so I could come back more often. Today I tried the tortilla soup for the first time and will not be getting it again. It wasn't terrible, but was a little too spicy for my taste (and I am not a super whimp when it comes to spice either). The empanadas are much better so I would just stick to those instead. I also loved the horchata, but apparently they are getting rid of that at the beginning of February. I love that they have a rewards program and I will sometimes get texts with coupons if I haven't gone in a bit. The employees are also always very nice and helpful in labeling your boxes so you know what flavor you're eating once you get home haha.
