This place doesn't try to do a ton of different things, but instead focuses on what it does best - birria. If you're into it, you need to give them a try. If you're not, you need to have your head checked. Tacos come out fresh and are bursting with juicy meat whose flavor is spot on. We inhaled our order. Salsas are tasty, but not a ton of heat. My friend and I both got one chicken and one beef queso taco, and while both were very good, the beef was hands down the winner. The restaurant is small, so not a ton of seating, but at the rate you'll plow thru your food you won't be there long anyway. The staff is rude and impersonal. ...borderline incompetent. I called in my order. She verified it over the phone. When I arrived 8 min later she started retaking my order. I've been obsessed with Birria for a while, and this is Birria CENTRAL if I've ever seen it. They have so many novelty birria items as well as tacos and other foods. I definitely recommend giving them a visit. We came in on a Thursday at around 6 PM, and there was plentiful indoor seating, super clean restaurant. There isn't a parking lot but there is pretty accessible street parking nearby. The service was super friendly, and we ended up talking to one of the customers inside about what to order. The menu is extensive, featuring birria ramen, birria quesadillas, birria egg rolls, birria sliders, birria fries, and so much more. We had such a hard time deciding...Eventually, we landed on the Birria sliders, Birria quesadilla, Birria egg rolls, and two birria tacos. You can choose between beef and pork for some of them as well. The egg rolls come with consomme but we also ordered another side for the rest of the food. Our food came out after around 15 minutes, hot and fresh! The Birria sliders were excellent, with Hawaiian bread and pickles and lots and lots of cheese. The birria quesadillas are also packed with cheese and birria. Pretty heavy food for sure. The birria tacos are also high quality and filling. The egg rolls are super unique - they are basically the fried shell surrounding pure birria beef with cheese. Overall, so good. I drool just thinking of it!! I had seen this place advertised on Instagram and being that I love birria tacos, I was excited to give it a try. 3 taco plate - comes with 3 queso tacos, rice, beans, consome, salsa, and a drink. Red salsa was spicy and had good flavor. I didn't really feel like I needed it for my tacos though since there is consome for dipping. I really liked the beans. I usually don't like whole beans, but these were flavorful and just the right texture/consistency. The rice also had great flavor but felt just a tad too dry. The tacos were delicious! Generous with the meat and cheese. Seasoned great. I just wish the shells were crunchier. Birria fries - the fries themselves are great and I wish I could just order a side of plain fries. There was a very generous helping of birria, alongside some great cheese sauce and salsa. These are spicy but not overwhelmingly so. Great portions and ratios of all ingredients. BIrria egg rolls - my husband said they were really good, however, halfway through the second egg roll, he discovered a few bits of foil pieces embedded on the roll. He let the staff know just so they could be aware of it. Wasn't mad or anything. We understand that these things happen. Though I'm not sure why there was foil on something that's been deep fried and wasn't served on foil. They offered to remake it or provide a drink or dessert on the house, but he didn't need it. He was already pretty full from the fries and the other egg roll. Really moreso just wanted the staff to be aware of it happening so it could be prevented in the future. If you're looking for a Birria taco this is the place! I came in because I saw a great review on the birria egg rolls and thought I should check it out myself! Sadly there are not any vegan options but, we did come for birria! I guess you can always just get a quesadilla. They do have traditional horchata, Jamaica, and regular soft drinks. The birria one was super juicy and packed with flavor, and the chicken one surprised me in the best way, it was also super flavorful and not dry at all. The cheese crisped up perfectly on the outside, giving that slight crunch before you get into all the goodness inside. And you already know I had to get the consomé... and YES it delivered. Rich, flavorful, and honestly the perfect level of salty (in the best way). Everything had that bold, authentic flavor that just hits. Dipping the tacos into the consomé just took everything to another level. Also, I have to shout out Daniel, the general manager. He made the whole experience even better. Super welcoming, hospitable, and just genuinely seemed like he loved to be there. You can tell he really cares about the place and the customers, which goes a long way. Wife ordered a Diet Soda and the fountain was out of syrup. She waited for a bit before they told her they were out. She asked a refund and that was chaos, but they finally figured it out. We ordered the birria tacos combo, comes with 3 tacos, rice, beans, a fountain drink and handful of lime wedges. Also ordered a chicken burrito, came solo with a lemon wedge. As we were sitting on our table, I noticed we were charged for two fountain drinks, instead of one. The combo already included a fountain drink. They did, however, refund us for the overcharge when we approached them. The tacos were good, a bit heavy for my liking, the chicken burrito was very plain, meat was on the dryer side. It did not come with any fixings like radishes, pico de gallo, or chips. For $20 each meal it's slightly overpriced for what you are getting. The combo included small portions of rice and beans, however, the meal itself was rather heavy and I could not finish it anyway. This location had its official grand opening last week and I was very impressed by the large crowd! I decided to try it out today for dinner. I had the 3 Queso Tacos Combo with red chili sauce and horchata. The service was polite and the place was clean. The music was a little loud, but not too crazy. The food is absolutely delicious. It truly is authentic. The beans and rice tasted exactly how my grandma makes them. The consome is NOT salty...it was perfect. The red chili is very spicy and authentic tasting. Nothing processed here. The reason why I gave this place 3 stars and not 5: it's VERY expensive for what you get. The portions are tiny. The servings of rice and beans are embarrassingly small. It didn't feel like a combo plate. The sides were the size of one large spoon. The Horchata was room temperature too. Of course I added ice, but it took a long time to get cold, that means the horchata isn't being chilled in place. Would I go back, probably not, because of the price vs portions size. I read through the reviews and decided to order 1 quesataco to go to determine whether this was worthy of a return visit. I expected the taco to be on the crispy side (typically this type of taco should be crispy since you have to option of dipping this in consomé) but it was soft and fell apart as I was eating it. The taco as a whole was a bit on the salty side. When I tried the meat on its own, it was fine. The taco was supposed to come with cilantro and onion but the posted picture, shows it was a light sprinkle (and that's being generous). The green salsa was good, but if you're looking for spicy, this isn't it. I'm going to give this place a second try and order a Mulita in hopes that it might make up for the first experience. The service was on the slow side considering I only ordered 1 taco. The to-go container was a paper plate covered with aluminum foil but this could've been because I only ordered 1 taco. I got the beef birria tacos, and they were absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and definitely something I'll be ordering again! The only thing I think could use some improvement is the rice and beans. They didn't taste as fresh as the tacos, and I think they could use a little more attention.
