Dealing with a car accident is a headache to say the least. Fortunately I had a great experience with world auto body in Encinitas. My car was side swiped and had close to $10,000 worth of damage done to it. You wouldn't tell now, they way they repaired it. I was given a reasonable timeline for the repairs and was filled in along the way. They even worked around the holidays which helped the car be ready in a timely manner. I did have two minor issues that I was able to bring the car back and they fixed same day and even gave my car a wash! Absolutely terrible experience, highly recommend you find another repair shop. Estimate when my car would be ready changed every few days after I called. No one ever reached out to me for updates. Seems to me they just make up excuses that parts were not delivered on time and it's out of their control. But there's no evidence of that they can show me... Plus they should have known that the parties weren't coming when I called and said I should call back in a couple hours. They assume the part was coming and could be installed in 2 hours multiple times?! Hard to believe all the positive reviews, but maybe I was just very unlucky. My car got squished NY an Amazon trailer where the contracted driver had no insurance. FML. I had to go through my own to get my car fixed and World Auto Body was my only option in the area. Wish I could give zero stars. The place has the worst customer service!! Communication is horrible. They sent status emails and when I called they get upset and say the email is wrong. They had our car for over 3 months and heard nothing but excuses. When I finally got the car back, it was filthy inside and out, had a sticky substance on the side mirror that we had to have detailed /buffed out, they didn't reset the computer system so we kept getting errors. Took it to Honda to get inspected and found out world auto body put a bad axel and Honda needed to replace it. They also put the wrong tire and that needed to be replaced as well. World auto did give us our deductible back but still would never go back or refer anyone to this place! Worst customer service! They tried to cheat my elderly mom by calling her at home for her credit card to pay her deductible after her insurance company had already sent payment. When I called them on it, they were rude and I had to persist to get the payment reimbursed. I literally drove over to pick up a check at the office because they weren't mailing it. One the worst experiences in my life. The employees are horrible. The service sucks. My car is still not completely fixed. Too many things to list. Other customers in the parking lot we're sharing how half-asses these guys were but, we needed our cars back after over a month. People were in awe at how many things these guys overlooked and did not repair. Many promises were made and not kept. "Oh, it'll be ready this Friday" then I get a call that it won't be ready until the following week. Poor communication at best. More like a highschool automotive class- that bad at best. read more

This is my third time using World Auto Body over the years... Won't take my Car amywhere else! My front bumper was completely damaged (hit a large pothole/rock). My car was in dire need of some minor body work. I say, it was "needed", since the small defect seriously affected regular driving, but wasn't making it impossible to get around (if that makes sense). I had gone to another auto body shop and was extremely disappointed with the outcome. I checked the dealer and the quote was pretty much an arm, a leg and my left ..... (achoo)! So turning back to trusted Yelp, I found World Auto Body. Reviews weren't perfect, but not many are. I called and spoke to Juan. His quote was a third of what the dealership was going to charge. I swung by so we could both be sure of what I needed and the cost. Juan confirmed the quote given based on what he saw. I asked if he could remove the piece that was damaged and causing my car to need repair. Juan took care of it in about 13 and a half seconds. Although the dealership could've finished the job the same day, World Auto would've taken it in and finished by midday the next day. Totally fine if I'm saving that much and could continue driving now that the minor problem was temporarily solved. I brought the car in and later that day, picked it up. All working perfectly (to date). If you're in need of body work and in coastal north county, give these guys a call. They'll take care of you at a reasonable price with great service. I swerved my car to avoid hitting a dog. The dog lived but the right front end of my car was bashed up pretty good. Caliber quoted us $11,000+ to repair the front end damage. My insurance totaled our car paying us about $6,000 for the damage. One of my brothers is a mechanic by hobby. He suggested this place for our body repair. Believe it or not---they completed our entire repair for less than $5,300. I'm salvaging this beautifully repaired Toyota Highlander Hybrid. This meant I've had to have the brakes and lights checked and certified. The place that certifies brakes and lights sent us back over to World Auto Repair for a slight adjustment. They cheerfully adjusted our lights on the spot. I will be posting the before and after shots here with my review. We will never go back to Caliber Collision again. read more

This company is the worst company I've ever had to deal with. They lie to you so much, they can't remember them telling the same lie. Instead of the victim, they make you feel like the cause of the accident. My car just needed a front grill from an acciden. it's going on 6 weeks now. I definitely could of put the grill on myself by now. The first time they put the grill on it was the wrong one, that they tried to persuade me to like, then tried to tell me that if I wanted it my way, witch is simply the way I brought it in, that they wasn't going to be able to warrenty it. So I call my insurance and they made them order the right part, and because of that, now they are playing games. I've been waiting 4 weeks. I just called today and my lawyer said they said they were waiting on me to come in...HOW AM I JUST POST TO KNOW TO JUST COME IN? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW MY CAR PART WAS EVEN THER, I GOT NO PHONE CALLS FROM NOBODY! They just like to sit your work to the side if they're not making good money off of it. Depending on how much money they can squeeze out of your insurance, your car will be ready when they are done with cash paying clients. Your inconvenience does not matter to them. They broke my headlight trying to fix my grill, then tryed to blame it on me. Then made me drive for a week with one headlight because they didn't think it was there fault. Both headlights worked before I dropped my car off though, when I pick it up they don't work! Very bad business, there attitude is bad, they talk to you like back alley homeboys and the place look like a chop shop. I only went to them because of the insurance of the people who hit my car but I would never never never recommend this shop to no one. I can almost guarantee your going to get the same service. I can't wait to not even deal with this place anymore, I still have to wait for them to put the correct grill on my car that I can do myself, that they over charge insurance for like there doing a big service. For them to have better qc parts aren't align missing parts.things not been calibrated after windshield installment then they need the car to stay with them to bring it more than once its just a lost of time.. 2nd time coming to this place for repairs thru insurance but wont be going back. How this bungling crew got any more than one-star reviews is beyond me. They were referred to me by my insurance for moderate repairs on the front end of my car about a year ago. The workmanship was barely passible. They made excuses upon excuses why the work was not done and went beyond the 30 days of rental car coverage into my cost. But when I called two dealerships about the parts causing the delay I was told the parts were in stock and available. I suppose they were saving money on after-market parts. Recently the front bumper popped loose from the fender and I brought it in. The person looking at it just popped it back in without securing it with any push pins and said I must have hit something. But I didn't! So, this all would have been tolerated if it wasn't the often rude and sometimes accusatory attitudes from the staff. My insurance has been notified and I will never give them any more business. My hope is that when they complete the Coast Highway Renovation the building will be scraped and the business will be completely replaced. read more

These guys are the best. Hugo took care of my from the moment I walked in the door. If Mercury is your Insurance Company, they are in partnership and you won't have to set up an additional inspection. They handle everything there. I had them work on my Mercedes years ago. This time I had a vandalism, keyed door panels. I was clear that I wanted a seamless paint job and when I picked up my suv, you could not tell it had any work. The paint matched perfect. Funny, I have been so busy and the truck was so dirty when I took it in due to it sitting on the street for awhile. I was talking to my friend saying I wish they'd detail my car, and then I said yeah, when pigs fly. But when I pulled up, it was detailed!!! These guys are so sweet, they rocked it in every way.
