I have to add something else to my recent review. I began hearing a noise again on what I believed was my wheel bearing again. However, I called George and Jorge who allowed me to bring it in promptly and they test drove it, took the wheels off, listened to the wheel bearings, then also applied the breaks while spinning the wheel. This has greatly boiled down to the accident I was in, however, the break job I received at Coastal Foreign Auto (the shop who referred me to Suspension Plus for a sooner appointment for the bearings) was something they actually refunded me for. POINT BEING Suspension Plus is my new go to shop and show care and concern and do the work to figure things out and are clearly capable. Thank you! read more

Absolute STELLAR service from Jorge for my lifted Bronco. Total honesty, integrity and quality. It can be nerve wracking dropping off your vehicle, not knowing what's wrong with it or if you're about to be out a fortune in unneeded repairs. I previously spent more than $600 at the dealership for the issue to not be fixed. Jorge was completely transparent, professional and kind! He knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it before I could even finish my coffee. I'll never go anywhere else! Above and beyond wonderful. THIS IS THE SPOT. read more

I stopped here for my first time last week not knowing what was going on with my car and from start to finish customer service was fantastic. They are honest, fair priced, and knowledgeable. I will be back! read more

Great service. Quick and efficient with excellent communication. Just redid did my suspension and will use them again and recommend to friends. read more

I can't recommend this place enough. Jorge and Omar have helped my family out on multiple occasions and have always taken care of our cars with the utmost professionalism and honesty. In one case refusing to charge us when they determined that there was nothing to fix despite another shop quoting my wife 100's of dollars in repairs. Dealing with a broken vehicle is never fun but fortunately there are people like this out there that make it a little less painful. read more

I called them frantic late Saturday morning knowing most places were closed and this place only Opened half day even tho it was last minute they were SO nice and said they would totally stay until they got to inspect the van. Great communication and so friendly and professional. The prices are so fair and they are real. This will always be our go to auto shop. Thank you so much Jorge!! read more

Bought a Cadillac off the dealership with bad alignment. Jorge got me in the very next day and fix the car within two hours. For a very low price honestly I think he could charge twice as much for the work he is doing. I am so grateful. read more

Omar was absolutely amazing in getting my car fixed promptly and finding the best deal for the parts. Excellent and professional service!

Amazing service!!! Great technician work. One of the best shops I've been to. Took the time to make sure that I knew what was going on with my truck and got everything running the way it should be. Had a really bad wobble situation after an accident and no other shop could diagnose or fix it properly, until I came here. Thank you Omar and Jorge!!! You all are awesome. Will definitely return for my future tire and suspension needs. Thank you Suspension Plus!!!! read more

Yelp reviews once again helped me with my decision. Brought my car in for an alignment because I got new wheels on my Yaris, I have definitely found myself a new shop to have work done on my car. Aside from being professionals at what they do, they're great honest people working here. These guys are trustworthy and will definitely be bringing my car in for future repairs. read more

I had them install Bilstein 6112 shocks in the front and 5100's in the back of my Toyota Sequoia. I bought the shocks separately and they made sure that they would work for my vehicle through a couple of emails. Left the car for a couple of days and came back and everything was installed. read more

Five star company! Luis aligned my 1981 corvette today and also adjusted the steering box. He is very knowledgeable and even fixed my A/C while he was under there that ended up being a loose vacuum hose! It took me forever to figure out why my air only blew through the floor! Do yourself a favor and go see Luis and his wife down at suspension plus. It's hard to find honest mechanics, but this place is top notch! read more

I was debating on making this review but I am truly disappointed. My vehicle needed an alignment and tire rotation so I looked on Yelp to find a near by shop and told my husband about this one. We wanted a trustworthy place before a long trip. The day before handing the car over we checked the oil under the hood and it matched the meter at 60%. They did great and they found parts that needed replacement so we made the commitment to get it done with them that same week. Nothing seemed off when we picked up the car until my husband double checked the oils before the trip and there was no oil in the engine! I hate to suspect that the shop drained the oil purposely so we thought maybe my car is burning oil. So we filled the car with oil and brought extra oil for the trip. Now back from the trip the oil ran through the engine perfectly! Again I hate to assume and suspect a business of doing such a thing but how else can we explain such a coincidence. read more

Honesty is a tough thing to come by these days, and I think we're trained to be skeptical of everything and everyone. Automotive work is the toughest pill for me to swallow, because I don't know enough for an educated debate. The guys at Suspension Plus could have taking me for a run on replacement of camber adjustment tabs on my wife's 4Runner, but instead they were honest, explaining a simple solution and not spending an additional $800. Very happy with the work, and the great customer service! read more

Believe the 5-Star reviews! :D After a costly and arduous experience with another suspension company, I took a gamble on Chris and Luis at Suspension Plus in Encinitas. But it paid off. And now I make the 30-min drive here from OB because the service and professionalism are the best I've experienced! Here's why: Honest Advice: My car had the aforementioned suspension work badly needing completion, plus break and alignment issues. The problem was, I had recently lost my job heading into the holidays. Chris helped me make a game plan based on cost/budget and importance. He set me up with a good-better-best suspension option, and we went from there. Transparency: Along the way, service was always timely, high-quality, and friendly. When issues arose, as they do with older vehicles, I was immediately notified, and given personal recommendations and feasible options. Always high levels of transparency and dedication to customer service. They didn't do work that wasn't necessary, gave me detailed breakdowns for everything they quoted, and walked me through all the work after completion. Friendly, Professional Customer Service: The service I received was excellent--friendly yet professional, everything you hope for but rarely experience. And it wasn't just me. I saw Chris interact with many other customers while waiting, and regardless of their cars, knowledge, gender, personality... regardless of anything... he treated them all respectfully and honestly. Luis, the owner, was only there for my first visit, and twice customers came by to say hi, thanks, and wish him happy holidays. Whoa! Outcome: Two months and three visits later, everything is driving great. They helped me get my car adventure-ready while staying mindful to my compromised financial situation. In a health/economic pandemic as this, such honesty goes further than the eye can see. I can't say thanks enough to Chris and the team for their outstanding professionalism. I've since recommended Suspension Plus, Encinitas to numerous friends and would do likewise to anyone needing front-end work. As I said to my best friend, "You're a fool if you don't come here." Don't be foolish, visit Chris and Luis. read more

What can I tell you? On a recent Friday I went to gas up at our local gas station. My mind must have been miles away as I mistakenly filled up (1/2 a tank) with Diesel fuel. I must not have realized this immediately as I drove a few miles with the wrong gas in my car. Then the light in my brain went on and I knew that this would be a costly mistake. The next step was easy. I went to 'yelp' to find who could take care of the problem and found that many repair businesses are not equipped to deal with hazardous waste. It was then that I came upon "Suspension Plus" where gas disposal was not a problem. The owner of the business, Luis, made me feel at ease and related to me that many others have made the same mistake. Luis explained my options and what the cost may be and told me that he might not have the car finished until the next morning. Besides being so understanding, when came time to pay for the service, Luis said " it didn't take as long as I estimated so I am lowering the price I quoted you". You don't find many like Luis and as a result he will gain a new customer and be recommended to our friends and family. read more

These guys aren't your best option for car repairs especially if they have to diagnose something. I brought my Kia in so they could check out the steering rack and the right half shaft and they didn't check the rack and they couldn't install the half shaft cuz they claimed the control arms that I installed were 3/4 inch too long which wasn't the case cuz I just had Evan's Tire replace the steering rack and both half shafts and there wasn't any problem with the length of the control arms. They were hostile and recommended that I go to the dealer and I was charged $202.50 just to put my car back together and they didn't even offer to get yhebisrt from another vendor or order from the dealer. If they were nice to me and offered oem parts I would have allowed that since they'ed actually got better cuz lots of aftermarket parts don't fit well. I called them today to discuss things and they're so self absorbed and they think they didn't do anything wrong... well ya did but I guess you'll be er learn. Steer clear...pun intended read more

These mechanics are honest, thorough and they really will help you out. I will be coming here for all of my suspension needs. I'll even check them out for brake work as it does get tough to commute all the way out to my personal mechanic. DO NOT PUT OFF WORK. Cars are expensive and potentially dangerous. Safety has no price. Yes there are other shops, but I want to come to this one. read more

Made an appointment a couple days ahead for 4pm on a Friday for a wheel alignment. Friday comes along and I take off work early. When I get there the guy tells me "not sure if we have time, all our stalls are full". I proceed to tell him that I made an appointment and he says "well can you come back Monday?" Uhhh..I then probe him about whether or not they even take appointments and he says "sorta". What a waste of my time. What the heck did I make an appointment and leave work early for if it's really first come first serve? Worst customer service ever. Definitely not coming back here. Unorganized and unprofessional. Stay away and save time by making a real appointment with someone else. read more

Subaru was overheating, brought it in on the recommendation of a friend. I later found out, Subaru's are famous for head gasket problems, they've had recalls and more. Luis checked it out, didn't see the head gasket issue, proceeded to suggest changing the following, one at a time (and stopping if the problem was resolved): thermostat (first), then water pump, then radiator. The order was given by how expensive it was to fix. Kind of an educated shooting in the dark, on my dime. He also found a few more things that first visit and I was out the door w/ an 800$ bill. But it kept overheating, so I took it to another shop, they tested it, the head gasket had failed, and best to junk the car or be willing to spend 4000$ on a gasket repair and a possible engine replacement. So, I could have ended up sinking another 2-3k into the car if I'd gone down the prescribed road of fixing the thermostat, then water pump, then radiator. I think it's a good shop, but here is the key - YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR CAR BEFORE TAKING IT IN. That's my 0.02. If I need a suspension, or brakes, or whatever, I'd take it here in a jiffy - he knows what he's doing. But, if my car is making a funny sound and I need to figure something out, I'd find a guy who can really do that and pay for that service. Having someone who can diagnose a problem can save you thousands. read more

New owner Luis ("Louie") used to manage this place under a different owner. Now the shop is his. He's been in the business 30 years, and he does great work. Currently, he's doing everything himself, which keeps the quality of the work top notch. What can I say about Louie? His quote was reasonable, he communicated well with me about the work being done, and finished the work when he said he would. He even fixed a few other problems he found along the way (bad grease seals and a burned out wheel bearing) and kept the price the same as he originally quoted me. What more could you ask? Professional, honest and down to earth. Bring your suspension or other car problems to Louie, he'll have things fixed in no time at a fair price. read more

RIP OFF. They charged me for work that was never done! I later found out after taking my car into the dealer for a different problem when I told them the issue was fixed they informed me that I was taken. If you plan on watching the entire repair job from start to finish I would take your car there. read more

Very solid professional service. Just a good experience with our Ford Fusion front strut installation.

Thank you Luis for the fantastic service today! I needed shocks & struts for my SUV and even though he was down one man and super busy, Luis was able to get it done! Luis at Suspension Plus in Encinitas is my favorite mechanic. I've had him work on all my cars over the years, foreign and domestic and he is fantastic. He is really passionate about his work and such a pleasure to deal with. He's very fair and he does great work! They have an advanced new laser alignment system and can handle just about any suspension, brake, engine work and tune-ups of course. Suspension Plus saved me so much on brake jobs alone where other mechanics try to charge too much. I highly recommend Suspension Plus read more

When someone asks you if you know a good mechanic, you can definitely recommend Louie. I had a bad experience with Complete Car Care and the guys at O'Reillys did not sound surprised. They told me to go see Louie at Suspension Plus and we have been bringing our cars here ever since! read more

Louis, came across friendly, knowledgeable and gave me a straight forward what should be done with my sport Mercedes. It needed a new suspension and bushings and rotors. I often take my car to the local dealer since they have always done good with me and my car, but I knew this would be a pricey item so I decided a local shop and knowledgeable mechanic would be financially smarter. He gave me a quote first then called, ordered the parts, fixed the needed items and also recommended one tire be replaced. I felt I was treated fairly and the car rides great now just like it used to! Thanks! read more

Brought my mustang in for alignment. Louis has very modern alignment tech and keeps it up to date. Tim got under the car and dialed it in to spec real quick and I was out in no time - did the rear too. Night and day difference in feel and handling. I think I first brought a car to Louis in 2010 and I've always gotten great results. Thanks! read more

Since I moved to Southern California I found it difficult to find a reputable repair shop. A few years ago I found Suspension plus. This is the kind of repair shop I like doing business with, reasonable, knowledgeable and personable. They have worked on three of my families cars and I would (and do) recommend them to friends. They do all automotive repairs not just suspension. In today's big impersonal corporate world, I like doing business with a small non-franchised family owned business. read more

Louie earned our trust. He knows his business, explains everything and wants to make sure you are happy with the details.
