    It's very unfortunate that I feel the need to write this review. Back in 2019 a detailer & another good friend that used to work at Hoehn GMC Cadillac referred us to this place for our new truck. At that time everything went great. Fast forward 2026 we had to take our very old car there for some minor paint work. This time our experience has been arduous & frustrating. From the start it took weeks to get the ball rolling, that could have been on the insurance side, I will give a bit on that but after that it was painful. Leaving messages for the rep we were working with took several calls & messages & average return call was 5-6 days later. Now I'm sure the paint work they did will be fine but I honestly feel since it's such an older car they didn't take much pride in doing the repair. When we mentioned issues about the car they 1st tried to blow us off & said they only did the rear repair... Well why are the sunvisors on backwards? Then they explained they had to take the headliner off etc... well so now it wasn't just the rear. Now we hear a lot more noise/wind coming in from the driver's side windows. We were told they didn't mess with the weather stripping. Well it wasn't doing it prior to taking the vehicle there but now it is. I just feel they slapped things back together. The worst part was we called to let them know about the issues & the lady who answered the phone made an appointment to bring the car back in for them to look at the issues. My girlfriend took the car back just to tell them they will need about an hours time to remedy the issues. My girlfriend didn't have time that day so she had to call and make another appointment. Well that was 2 messages left & finally a call a week later. My girlfriend took the car in & sat there while they did the repairs. It didn't take an entire hour so that was good but any concerns about the weather stripping she said there scuffed up & slits in it wasn't there before but the body shop claims they didn't touch it. So now I have to take it to soneone else to remedy the situation. This was all caused by minimal damage. Now I'm not a professional in body work so I don't know the average time it would take to fix something like this but over a month I feel is long. It hasn't been convenient that's for sure taking the car in 5 minutes just to be told we had to go back so schedule an appointment. I called around & I was told that most body shops will detail the entire car after just in case there is spray off on other parts of the car & yet they didn't. I'm not saying they did something wrong about this specific item because I do not know the industry standard. They definitely didn't take care of our old car. There were dirty handprints on the interior of the car. I guess it's such an old car maybe it wasn't what they want to work on. We definitely will not go back as it will cost me out of pocket now to get things fixed. I'm updating this due to their response. The car absolutely did not get detailed inside and out. If so, why was their dirty handprint marks on the interior and why does it look like there was a wax job done on the part you work on and not on the other 1/2 the car? Still you didn't address the numerous calls it took to get calls back. It's a shame that instead of trying to make the customer happy you defend the bad experience.

    I am super happy with my service from Chris Amato's. They went above and beyond with the accident repair of my E30 BMW. The paint is shiny, glossy, matches and everything they did looks great. They nicely addressed small things that they didn't have to do and that made the whole job look way better than it was before the accident. I can't stop looking at it cause it's so good. They communicated when they said they would and the job was done within the time frame they said. When the car was done they made sure I was happy with it and even did a couple more minor things on pick up day. I did a lot of DD and went to four other shops to get quotes for my car. Chris Amato's was right in the middle for price but top notch for quality. Would absolutely recommend. But be patient, perfection takes time.

    Chris and his crew are amazing! My family has brought numerous cars to CABW and we are always impressed by the quality of their work and their attention to detail. My truck was recently hit on the rear bumper. Based on my assessment, it was a simple fix. I figured a new bumper is all that was needed. Chris and his crew did a thorough inspection of my truck and noticed many underlying issues that were not visible. There was damage to the tailgate, bumper, bed and cross brace. The entire repair process went smoothly. Marleen kept me informed with updates. Just picked up my truck yesterday and it looks perfect! I'm in the automotive industry and I can see any imperfections from a mile away lol. Thank you Chris and the entire CABW crew for the great work!

    Just got my car fixed here at Chris Amato's and I am beyond happy and grateful for the work they put into my Tesla! Shoutout to Robert and Marleen helping me through the process. Sheryl was also amazing as well! Thank you guys! I would definitely come back and also recommend this place to my friends and family !

    You can see how vibrant the stock paint is while the parts done by Chris amatos shop looks dull and cheap.

I have a 2010 Mini Cooper (R56) Hatchback. For a while, the Check Engine icon has been lit up on the dash. Initialy, the dealership said it needed a new O2 Sensor & quoted about $700 to replace. The car was a bit slugish but, if I kept the revs up, it was fine. Over time, I noticed the engine had a harder time cranking over to start. Finaly, one day, my Cooper wouldn't start. I got a jump & decided to disable the Running Lights, radio, AC, & lights to come on when I unlock the car. Running the car in this mode turned the Check Engine icon off. I figured I should replace the battery on the car & called the dealer to replace the battery. They quoted $360 ($220 for the OEM replacement battery & 1.5 hours of labor) including reprogramming the ECM in the car. This is where a Man like Mike (the mechanic) comes in. Mike knew, the dealer was not being completely honest. By installing a different battery, I was able to avoid the so called reprogramming fee, (which is an urban legend) which saved me money!!! This is the benefit of having a mechanic like Mike who knows fact from fiction in the automotive world. NOTE: Don't always trust what the dealer says!!! Instead, trust Mike at All American Auto Care in Murrieta! Let me know how much money he saves you?

The Call Center misled me into thinking they were at the store and they are NOT! Your Call Center should be more transparent about this. This is a MAJOR ISSUE. Your Call Center assured me that they "will get me in and out" with brakes, an oil change, and four new tires at 4 pm, and to "come right in", and "I have a 4 pm appt for you". LIES!! I walked into the store and they were slammed.. Simón said that there was no 4 pm appt for me, but he would take good care of me anyways. I raised my voice at him, "I just talked to you!" "You said 'in & out'". He calmly said he did not talk to me, but will take good care of me. I calmed myself. I was so angry. He said he would NEVER make a 4 pm appt for someone who needed brakes, 4 tires, and an oil change, when they close at 5 pm. It all made perfect sense. Simón offered to get my tires and oil change started, but offered to inspect my car to see if I even needed brakes. I agreed. It turned out my back brakes were at 6 mm and my fronts were 4 mm, so I still had time to change them. They squeezed me in even though they had cars they were trying to get out of the shop. EXCELLENT management by these guys to fix the predicament their "Call Center" had suckered me into. Evan's Tire & Service in Lemon Grove is a super place with super employees! They gave me a great price, and I was out of there at 5 pm. You need to fix your Call Center though- these stores are welcoming angry customers like me, because they are being lied to. Good job Simón & crew! I owe you one. The Call Center review would be 0 stars.
