A few years ago (3 I think?). My wife had a little accidental while driving. Not her fault of course! She is an incredible driver! . Seriously she got sideswiped by a kid who turned and veered into her lane without realizing it. She was boxed in and had to wear it. It left a sizable dent in her side door (mini van) and a long scratch down the middle. At any rate, our fabulous insurance provider USAA, was quick and on it! (Another review). They sent us. Here to Fix Auto and everything was gravy! Dropped it off. Service was standard to above standard for a busy shop. We were very happy with both the front desk, customer service and with the repairs. I took my car in for an initial quote and there was a woman who saw me walk in, looked directly at me, didn't say one word, and walked away. I thought that was going to set the tone for my visit. Another woman, I wish I had gotten her name, happily helped me. Keith was quick with assessing my car, having a quote ready and they patiently waited for me to return home from various trips to get my car done. I had asked Keith how much it would cost to fix a pretty deep scratch on the side of my car, and like a magician, he did! You can hardly tell it was ever there and, bonus, I didn't have an extra charge. Find somewhere else! Brought my car here and left with it needing more work. They broke other things on it, a sensor, a mirror and a structural piece inside the car, they ended up fixing those after I had to prove that they weren't damaged before I took it to them. Took 9 days and then they ended up not fixing the sensor and wanted to take the car for a third time to repair it. Ended up taking it around the corner and they fixed it in an hour, followed through with their promises, and ended up being cheaper with better quality. Fix has Awful value and is a complete waste of time, there are plenty of other places in Oceanside that won't scam you. read more

Absolutely amazing work here, dropped it off on a Tuesday morning, got it back the following Friday. They did a thorough job in making sure my observations were noted and checked, and with their thoroughness identified a few other things that were damaged. They worked really well with my insurance to make sure any and all work done was properly communicated and covered. We took our vehicle there based on the recommendation of our insurance company. It took almost three weeks longer than expected. I understand that things come up during a repair but quite honestly they took advantage of our insurance company. The paperwork they provided at completion noted every phone call which is fine but contained false statements that we authorized the additional work when in fact we did not- all authorizations are required by the insurance company. They also completed the survey on behalf of us giving themselves an exceptional review. In the end the vehicle has been repaired and is guaranteed. If you use them do your due diligence. read more

They absolutely killed it. I had to take my car in after a car wash did a number on it. Olivia the rep for my vehicle was so responsive and answered all my questions. She talked to the insurance company for me. The car looks better than when I first bought it! They did a great job repainting it and for the amount of work that needed to be done they were quick! I would highly recommend using this auto shop! I was helped by Tina to get my car fixed after I was hit by road debris. She was very responsive, thoroughly informative at the start, really kind, and made sure to update me regularly with how the repairs were going and whatever issues they ran into. (I also received text updates throughout the week from the shop). My car was done on time and looked brand new! One small cosmetic part was not fixed yet because the auto dealer had shipped them a broken part, but they made sure I got my car back on time and got me in for a quick appointment to replace the piece as soon as it came in. I brought my car there for esthetic repairs and they returned it to me with my breaks not working. My car was hit from the back and required a bumper change. I brought it to Fix Auto and they were very friendly, so I trusted them to fix it. They ran pre authorization with my insurance and then proceeded to fix the damage. Then after they changed the bumper I got a call from them that there are errors popping up on my screen. Sure enough - several errors I ve never seen before were popping up. They stated that they only deal with physical repairs and for anything with computer they use a third company. It turned out car required recalibration after they fixed it. Also turned out that they did not preauthorize for that because their company does not do it. I ended up having to pay both my $500 deductible to them and then drive my car in hazardous condition since breaks weren't working to Toyota dealership for recalibration where I was charged additional $300. Toyota clearly told me that if I would have had my car fixed with them it would have been included both into preauthorization and fixed without any extra charges. I was also told that this happened because there is a button in hybrid cars to turn off the battery which Fix Auto pushed which caused the reset of the computer systems. If you have a hybrid car - beware of using this store. read more

This is the third time I've had work accomplished at FIX. The paint previously applied to the trunk lid had rippled. Correcting the issue was at no cost to me (lifetime warranty). Additionally, I had the hood painted to eliminate damage caused by road debris chipping the paint. Once again, Keith Baxter was the FIX representative I dealt with and, once again, I was provided regular updates. So after 3 times taking my truck in...original repair took a month over promise date, I fixed the last of the issues myself. I think I'll trade my truck in rather than take it back to have them fix something in the future that comes up again. I hope and pray they plugged everything in and my safety options work when I need them. Fingers crossed. They spent more time trying to find a review of a tire quality that accepting that they did not align it correctly the first....and second time. And not replacing the newly damaged tire the 3rd time....Then they forgot to reset other items once they re-repaired it. I think the average repair customer really doesn't know what to look for...so the shiny paint and clean interior takes your eyes off the poor work. Tina Perez handled the much angonized repair of my Tesla Model X that my son in law dented after only 1 month of having it. Tina was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She did her best to get me the best price possible and replacing an entire rear corner panel is not cheap on a Tesla but she figured out a way to make it as low as possible and even reduced the final price by another $500 by the time it was all done. Tina kept us up to date on the repairs, got the work done close to the time estimated, rain and holidays had a small affect however she kept us in the loop. She was the one I talked to when I first arrived and the one that handed me the keys when it was done, very professional and just a very nice experience all the way around. As for the repairs, I could not have asked for more. To be honest I just can not tell the work was done. The body work, the paint work and everything in between was just perfect. Also when you come and pick up your car and it is totally professionally detailed I must say that is a very nice touch.
