FirstCall Auto Glass deserves a 10-star recommendation for combining exceptional workmanship, dependable warranties, and genuinely personal service with the experience and capability to handle everything from individual vehicle owners to dealerships and commercial clients. I can't say enough good things about this company. I've used Safelite AutoGlass in the past because, like a lot of people, you tend to default to the biggest national name. After experiencing the difference with FirstCall, I'll choose the local family-owned company every time. I've trusted FirstCall with multiple vehicles for windshield replacement and window tint, and what stands out most is the consistency. The workmanship has been excellent every single time. Their glass installation is top-notch. Their tint work is top-notch. They stand behind their work and warranties, and they handle everything with professionalism, integrity, and a genuinely good attitude. Pat, Betty, their family, and the entire FirstCall team have built something increasingly rare: a business with the professionalism, equipment, experience, and capacity to handle serious commercial and dealership work, while still giving an individual customer the personal attention you expect from a family-owned company. They are big enough to handle the job, but they have never become too big to care about the customer. That is what separates them. FirstCall is exactly the kind of locally owned business that should be the face of a community like Oceanside. When you spend money with them, you're supporting people who live here, work here, employ people here, and have built their reputation one customer and one vehicle at a time. National chains may have enormous advertising budgets and market presence, but bigger does not automatically mean better. FirstCall proves that quality, accountability, and personal service still matter. If you need auto glass, windshield replacement, or professional window tint, this is the company I recommend without hesitation. Pat, Betty, and the FirstCall team have earned my trust, my repeat business, and my highest recommendation. Five stars doesn't really cover it. FirstCall Auto Glass is a 10-star company. read more

Safelite removed my cracked windshield and then refused to put it back or install a replacement after finding rust underneath. This company sent their technician Anthony to my house as soon as I could schedule it, cleaned and repaired the rust and installed a new windshield within 3.5 hours. Anthony was efficient and friendly, answering my many questions with patience. The cost of the glass was about as expected, but the cost of the rust repair was very reasonable. Very high recommendation. read more

My windshield played catcher to a rock on the highway and it would definitely not buff out. So I called around and found First Call Auto Glass. The owner and staff were friendly and the price was reasonable. My windshield was able to be replaced in a timely manner. Shortly after we had two major rain storms here and I am happy to say, no leaks! The owner came out and greeted me & my pup several times while we waited. read more

Pats a great guy and took great care of the glass and frames of my 64 Falcon The family owned and operated business makes doing business a fun and rewarding experience I would never go anywhere else for all my glass needs read more

I've used these guys three times over last 10 years or so. For 2 of them, ocks hit windshields, it happens. Both times, they coordinated with insurance, did the work at my location, super easy scheduling and work done. For the other time, back glass got broken, and I paid for that one out of pocket. It was a job that had a paint scratch involved, so I got a quote from one of those nationwide body shop type places. First calls cost out of pocket was just about exactly half of what the "big" place wanted. And less hassle. This is a glass place only, so I got the scratch done by someone else, but they handled the glass same day, super easy. Just use them - they are easy and do a great job. read more

This shop was recommended to me for my daughter's Toyota 4Runner window which was off its track and would not stay rolled up. Our regular repair shop had her vehicle for 2 days, could not fix it and still charged us around $67. Brought the 4Runner in this morning (I contacted them yesterday to arrange this) and they were able to diagnose the problem and repair it in less than an hour. I happily paid the $150 and when we went out to the vehicle saw that they had also cleaned the window. Excellent work and customer service! read more

2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser windshield replacement. They not only had the best price in town (I called 4 places in Oceanside) but they had it done very quickly. If you have one you know what that means. Great shop, friendly staff, the kind of people you want to leave a review for. read more

First Call Auto was amazing! Everyone was super nice and helpful from the start. When I called, they clearly explained everything I needed--including the fact that my windshield sensors had to be calibrated, which no other place even mentioned. They got me in fast, worked with my insurance, and made the whole process really easy. What could've been stressful turned out to be no big deal thanks to them. Highly recommend! read more

Betty Gastelum and her team did a great job replacing my windshield trim, which had rotted away after years of use. They were super friendly, helpful, informative, completely upfront with what I could expect and how much the repairs would be, and Betty even dropped me off at my home while the repairs were being done. Really appreciate their wonderful customer service, and my car looks great -- don't know what I waited so long to have this done. Highly recommend this company! read more

I came into their shop today to get a nick on my windshield fixed on my new (2012) car... Tyler came and looked at it and said oh it's already been attended to... I was so impressed. Figured I post a new review since it's been some time since my old one. Betty and the crew has done it not once, but twice for me this month. The Tesla was taken in for its second windshield replacement after 120k miles since they originally replaced it. However, that lasted me 500 miles until another rock was kicked up and broke the replacement... Betty and my insurance handled the 4th replacement with no pain or stress than the third one, 500 miles ago. I can't thank her and the crew enough. They truly go above and beyond, words could not describe their care and quality of work. read more

11 year later we used First Call again to replace a very cracked windshield in a fancy electric vehicle with a complicated sensor system. It took a few hours but they did a great job. As a mechanical engineer, I tend to overanalyze things like windshield installs, but these guys earned my trust right away. Scott, the installer, spotted a subtle defect in the middle of the glass and didn't hesitate to make it right. He was back the next day with a new windshield, no questions asked. I would not have noticed that flaw untill weeks later and stared at it every time I got in the car. Thank you for your integrity, Scott. I won't go anywhere else for glass work. Come here. Great service, great customer service, and a bionic dog that will beg you to throw the ball (and he listens too) Called 6 places for glass. All were logged and not able to do it. This was my 6th and shouldve been my first. ARG sent me. Called at noon they called back in 30 mins saying they got windshield on order can get you in at 2-4pm. Didn't expect it to be so quick and was up in LA so had to crunch 4pm. Got it there, they got it done and i just said if it needs wipers go ahead n do em. They do have competitive pricing (safelite was 310 for just the windshield and 390 with 81 off so 309 for free wipers.) i just paid what they said as they were the only ones able to do it. read more

If you don't go here, I feel sorry for you. This is a perfect five star business. I was driving on the freeway, and my window was hit by a rock. The OEM windows for Toyota Prius's are absolute trash. I can't imagine going anywhere other than the first call. Betty and her team are amazing. They consistently have gone out of their way for me. They calibrate the lane departure free of charge. They have a comfortable waiting room, offered me a beer, coffee and the place is amazing. No, they did not pay for this review. I just support small business, and I love to see a well run business. Lastly, for me my car transports the most valuable things in my life. My wife, and my two kids. There's nothing that I wouldn't pay for their safety. The windshield is critical. AMAZING!!! Is this place even real?!! From my initial "quote call" with Vanessa to me driving away with a new, perfect windshield what was $100 less than anywhere else, I am blown away! She also asked if I needed the wifi info and promptly shared that with me! Thank you for all that, Vanessa! Betty also works in the office and is HILARIOUS and so much fun to listen to, and speak with! She and Vanessa are freaking ADORABLE! First Call Auto Glass - Perfection! - Auto Glass Services Near Me - Oceanside, California

I'm a teacher, and I regularly commute to San Marcos and Fallbrook. I heard something hit my windshield on the freeway (I'm careful not to tailgate, too) and almost immediately saw the tiny crack. Later, my neighbor suggested First Call and I was happy to stop agonizing over which repair shop to go to. They were great! Friendly, comfy couch and a movie in the waiting room, fast service, AND the woman at the desk told me that I could ask my insurance to reimburse me- and they did! It's been several months now, and the repair is holding strong. Very happy, great place. read more

Great customer experience. Easy setup with insurance coverage with their help. Great service.

My experience with First call could not have been better. I needed a full windshield replacement due to a rock hitting my windshield. Betty made me feel so comfortable, answering all my questions. Efficient , good humans, and done with quality. It really doesn't get much better. Thank you 1st Call! read more

My experience at First Call was an absolute nightmare. I've noticed most of the positive reviews are through insurance claims. I wonder if people would have different experiences paying out of pocket. Between my experince working on vehicles in the Marine Corps, working on my own classic cars, and moonlighting at a local hot rod shop, I know what goes into quality automotive work. I brought my 1965 Ford Falcon in, and spoke to the owner, Pat, about replacing the weather seals on all of the windows, Pat told me to order the rubber parts and let him know when they arrived to schedule an appointment. He told me to order from Steele Rubber, because he said they were the best in the business. After the new rubber parts arrived, I took my car to Pat and had him inspect everything. He said the parts were all good, and estimated me $700-$1,000 in labor. After spending $1,100 in parts alone, I wanted a professional glass shop to install the rubber, because I knew if I made a mistake installing it myself the rubber would need to be ripped out and reordered. So I accepted Pat's estimate and left my car and the new parts with him. After having the car for about a week, Pat told me it was ready to go, and charged me $900, which was perfectly in-line with his estimate. I picked up the car that night, paid, and immediately noticed a loud whistle coming from the vent windows on the drive home. I texted Pat about it, and he said they should have test drove the car, and to bring it back the next day for them to fix. I dropped it back off the next day. After about another week, I was told the car was ready to get picked up, but there were some issues. I was told it was still leaking water down the A-pillars where the vent window frames met the rubber. They didn't know why it was still leaking, and blamed both the rubber (that they recommended and inspected), and said my doors might not be aligned (they're fine). When I went to pick it up the second time, they added extra foam to the leaking area in an attempt to seal up the leaks. Their tech had me sit in the car while he water tested it with a hose. Within about 30sec, water was not only leaking from where they said, but also through the vent window seals, and in multiple locations along the top of the windows. The car now leaked worse then when I brought it to them. Pat wasn't there at this time, and his tech told me to contact Pat the following week to figure out where to go from here. I called Pat a few days later and asked him what the best course of action was. He said he didn't want to keep wasting labor hours trying to fix my car, and offered to give some of my labor cost back. He offered $500, and I told him I would need the full $900 back. I understood that I was TECHNICALLY responsible for the $1,100 in parts, but I now have a car that is worse than when I brought it, so I will need a full refund of the $900 in labor. Pat started yelling and cursing at me over the phone, saying that I didn't value his work, and I don't know what I'm talking about because I don't work on cars. (Even though I was referred to him by the shop I literally do work for.) I tried to reason with Pat, but he just kept yelling at me, said if I didn't like his $500 offer then I can sue him, and hung up on me. I let things cool off for a few days, then showed up at First Call in person to try to come to an acceptable compromise. I didn't think it was worth all of the hassle of going through court, and offered to compromise at a $600 refund. Pat just kept saying $500 or sue him. I continued to try to reason with Pat as he called me names, cursed me out, and told me I don't know what I'm talking about. After taking quite the abusive chewing out, he finally pulled $600 in cash out of his pocket, slammed it in my hand, and told me to never call him again. After all of this, I still have a car that leaks worse than when I started. After my awful experience, the shop I work for has stopped doing business with First Call also. I've attached photos of the terrible work they did. read more

Totally failed to meet their own timeframe to replace my window. The customer service team is great and tries to resolve issues, but it's clear their owner Pats ego or lack of understanding the importance of conflict resolution made a simple situation very stressful. In short I came into replace a broken window needing it in a required time frame. Time frame elapsed and I get told it's their vendors fault and they do it all the time. However no one even attempted to call and inform me of this until after our agreed lead time had passed and I was forced to call repeatedly to get any clarity to new time frames. Ultimately I went in for a new window and left with a piece of plywood with holes in it! The owner Pat literally just walked away from me when I said hey, can you at least fill these HOLES IN THE WOOD you are charging me for? To which he got visibly mad and raised his voice saying "we spent three hours on that". Okay, doesn't meant I should accept or be expected to be happy with your service and your plywood window with holes!? Then he just aggressively walked back to his office (behind mirrored tint) threw his hands up in the air and told one of his technicians he couldn't handle this guy (a paying customer who's had to call repeatedly and get changing information) and left me standing at his warehouse door. Bottom line here is they dropped the ball with terrible communication, poor quality management of their wooden solution and then the infantile interaction with the owner Pat. I'm sure they're good at tints and windshields. I'd just never trust this company again for anything and based on how I was treated (not by the service team) the owner I think he could use a lesson in how to better take ownership of his responsibilities / communication and quality control. $150 for a used plywood window with holes. Says enough. Maybe next time Pat, send the window to a vendor who meets the expectations you set for your company and don't blame them, or get mad at your client because you overcommitted and then didn't communicate while being rude and charging me for a piece of wood with holes. Learn a lesson. read more
