We had a very disappointing experience with Caliber Collision. We used them because they were a partner shop for our auto insurance and we expected that to make the repair process go smoothly. Instead, their customer service and communication were terrible. A 2 week repair turned into over a month. We had to contact them to get updates and they kept missing their completion timeline. When they eventually told us our car was ready we found a bunch of broken glass in the cabin and scratched wheels. A few days later, we went back to pick it up and our car was quite dirty (interior and exterior). By that time, we were so fed up that we just brought it home. If you have an accident damaged car and care about having a good experience, we'd encourage you to look elsewhere. read more

I had a bad experience here. I was in a no fault accident with an uninsured motorist driver. insurance will only pay maximum $3500 for uninsured motorist coverage (for property damage, non medical). Insurance required me to get an initial estimate. I came to caliber collision for this estimate. The employee there gleefully explained how my costs would be more than $3500. Then they wrote me an estimate for less than 2k. I tried to show them damage inside the hood and point it out to them. They refused to look at it and said the first estimate is only outside damage. They told me I had to come back here to get it fixed and then they would give the insurance the "supplemental" estimate which is more. I understand this is normal part of the process but they completely ignored obvious damage that was clearly visible. If they had just given me an initial honest estimate I could have fixed my car so much sooner. The limit was 3500 and the initial estimate should have reached that amount. Dishonest read more

This place is beyond amazing! We got rear ended and everyone there was so kind and accommodating! The entire process was stress free amd they even finished earlier than anticipated. Brittany at the fromt desk was one of the main reasons I went with them Because when I called on the phone she was so nice and helpful and made the whole process feel like it was gonna run smoothly. Mike who was in charge of the repair was beyond amazing amd the body work was meticulously and wonderfully done. My car looks brand new and looks way better than it did before the accident. I was turned away as a new customer because I "didn't have a reservation" and told to schedule a WEEK away for a quick trim piece fix/repaint (~10 minute estimate max). I've had work done here before with no problem. On a recent visit for a quote, I was told I had to leave my car (my only car) there for as long as it took to get the replacement panel in, painted, and installed, which was at minimum two weeks, or worst case five weeks...all due to the supply chain delays. I said: what if I give you my $500 deductible upfront? He said: "nope, people cancel, so we just don't have any other options.". Since I don't have rental car coverage, I couldn't do that, and ended up with another shop that accommodated me...altho that shop still took 4-5 days to complete, even after receiving the part! read more

I cannot express how amazing these guys have been. I had an experience when I was left waiting 20 mins for a mechanic only to find out he was on lunch and it was brought to the attention of Chris, the manager. Chris was sure to reach out and apologized and assured me that never happened and it really was a once off. He asked me to take my car in and he'll have a look at it. When I brought it in he saw to it personally and set me up with Ben. Ben really went above and beyond for me. He insisted I got a rental car and offered to call Enterprise for me. I worked across the street so I didn't think there was any need - so they offered to even drop me to work! I had been rear ended and honestly have never had to do any of this before so asked Bridget at the first desk a million questions. She was so patient and knew how to answer everything. I had constant updates on the status of my car and when they were aiming to finish it. I have seriously never had service like this anywhere else - where both the manager and workers are so informed and treat you Ike you're family. Rest assured if I ever end up in a situation like this again I will 100% be back without hesitation. Just brought my car to the Caliber Collision shop in Oceanside to fix a paint-job gone wrong from a year ago that was done under different management. I've been really busy this last year with school, work, and my business so I was hesitant to bring my car in after a year to talk about the discolored paint job they gave me. After arriving I had someone immediately look at my car and inform me that they would have the store manager contact me as soon as possible. That next morning Alma the store manager reached out to assure me that they would repaint my car and match the color like they should have done a year ago during the original repair. I've never witnessed a store manager so involved in the repair process of a vehicle. In addition to her bold, yet pleasing personality, I could tell she was passionate about what she does and that was not only moving, but also ensured that my car would be in good hands. We got sideswiped while our car was parked on the street. When we returned, there was no note. We shopped around and settled on Caliber to make the necessary body repairs. Rosie helped us and she was great. She took the time to explain what needed to be done, gave us some options and gave us a itemized quote on the spot. When we decided on what work we wanted done, we contacted her and she was very amiable. We took the car in and she promised it would be done within 2 weeks. My car got damaged and I brought it here thinking they'll do a fast and good job but it took them almost two months to fix my car and it was hard to contact them and get updates and I would not get right information, they said one thing then another. Now that my car is fixed it recently has been knocking whenever I turn or brake, which didn't happen before, went to go see my car while it was being fix and they would not let me see my car. I took my car to get repaired, and they did a good job with that. Here is the issue: When you drop off your car, you have to sign a waiver stating that you will not leave any personal items in your car, and if you do, the theft of such items is not fault of the business. They must be aware of the staff they hire, that's for sure. I removed my more valued items but did leave a pair of sunglasses in there. On the drive home I notice my glasses are missing. Fine, shame on me. HOWEVER.....also, all the change in my center cup holder was gone, as was a pack of gum (the kind molded like a cup to fit in a cup holder). Really???? Yes, I signed the waiver...but that was just silly. read more

Compelled to review, as these guys deserve kudos for their work and service. Tommy is very personable, honest, and made me feel comfortable leaving him and his guys to care for my truck. My bumper on my Tundra needed work...I didn't know if came in three pieces...but Tommy saved me money by acknowledging that not everything needed replacing. If he was out to make extra money, he could have convinced me that more needed to be done. This is my second time in a few years I've been to Caliber in Oceanside. Hopefully, I won't need them again anytime soon, but I highly recommend their honest, courteous team to anyone. Mark, who was my contact at Caliber, was fantastic. He kept me well-informed during the whole process, and made sure that everything went smoothly.
