Excellent work! I got in a fender bender that damaged my bumper and suspension and Jose Jr was able to take me last minute after getting towed by AAA. The level of damage to suspension was unknown but Jose clearly communicated what the damages were as well as sourced some aftermarket options to bring the cost down. My 2003 was totaled by my insurance company. The auto body shop they sent me to said the estimate was $120 over the threshold and that had to total it. For a dent! I went to North County Auto Body and Jose Jr helped me out. First, his estimate was $600 cheaper than the first one. My insurance company agreed and reversed the total process. Jose worked with me and my insurance to make sure to keep the cost under the amount where they would have to total it. He told me that he couldn't even go up $50 or they would. He kept it under and I picked up my car on Tuesday. They did a great job and Jose even gave me a great deal on replacing my radiator. I was quoted $1600 6 months ago and Jose did it for a small fraction of the cost. I had a neighbor back into me and wanted to just pay the repair so we didn't need to use insurance or anything. Totally fine by me. I came here first for an estimate and Jose Jr was totally gracious and helpful, and gave me all the fees upfront, told me an expected timeline.. I felt like he was good people. I did my due diligence and got another quote which was pretty similar in cost. But the other place made me uneasy and I only went based on someone else's recommendation. Please avoid this shop. Took my vehicle in mid-Sept and Jose Sr. convinced me their 4-star, 4 coat paint / clear package would be the ideal. I agreed, and the price was fair. Waited 2 weeks for my appt and delivered the vehicle Oct 4. Jose Jr. advised it would take 3 weeks - 4 week tops. I waited 3 weeks (just before Halloween) and then visited for a progress check. Vehicle had been minimally sanded - basically all scuffed up. Jose Jr. advised vehicle will be done by Thanksgiving. I began weekly visits and progress was minimal each time. By Thanksgiving the vehicle had not yet even been prepped for paint. Jose Jr. advised it would be ready by Christmas. Continued weekly visits and vehicle was finally painted Dec 6 - 2 months after it was brought in. During polishing, the fender was damaged as was the camper shell they had stored. No one worked on the now damaged vehicle the entire next week until I complained to Jose Sr. By then the shop was down to 3 unsupervised workers. Father and son were rarely on premise. Finally, on Dec. 23 when the vehicle was once again parked in their storage area un-touched, I retrieved the unfinished and still partially disassembled vehicle. - their 3rd promised and missed completion date.I finished the project myself with the help of a professionally managed body shop and local detailer. (My out of pocket expense and time. ) If you choose to contract with this entity, (not recommended) be sure not to advance very much of the contract amount - progress payments are recommended. Also get in writing a committed completion date and penalty clause (i.e. lowered contract amount each week it is overdue). Shop is disorganized, trash strewn everywhere, no logical work flow or process evident. Work assignments seem random and their buddies clearly get cuts in line.Management, organization and communication skills are lacking. read more

My Toyota pick-up needed some love. I visited 6 different AutoBody shops in North County before I met Junior. His patience, expertise and pricing was far better than the other spots I went to for quotes. My truck had 30 years of damage from deep scratches, dents, rust, holes resulting from rust and extreme exposure to sun and sea weather. We needed to take the front windshield off. Soon discovered more rust damage. Junior called with options that was well priced and I was happy to get his guidance. I wanted the original black paint job with the Toyota decal on the tail. That had been missing for so many years and I hated that it was gone. Junior let me know that the original decals probably weren't available anymore, especially after all these years. He was able to miraculously add the logo and I'm soooo happy! The overall paint job reminds me the day I drove it off the dealership lot. Junior restored my truck that means a lot to me. The shine and finish is pure magic. All the dents are gone - I keep running my hand along the body in amazement. This Body Shop was so accommodating that they even allowed me to have a mobile window replacement guy come in and do the work in their yard. The final detailing was fantastic. Even the truck liner looked brand new! This was definitely not a rush job and I appreciate the patience and detail they took. I am beyond happy. The reason we chose this place to fix my dad's vehicle after his accident was because of the seemingly great reviews and the initial friendly demeanor of Jose Sr. He told us they had been in business there for over 40 years and so I thought that they would have a really professional and customer oriented business. Sadly mistaken!! Wish we never found this place. COMMUNICATION: On several instances, both AAA and I tried getting a hold of this place to try and get updates on when the fixes would be done, but we were often met with no one picking up or a few times, the phone was offline or wouldn't ring. When we finally COULD get a hold of them, they would tell us dates but would never deliver on those dates, and if they had to push the dates back, the only reason we would know about it was because we would call them a day or two AFTER the date they told us. They never ever contacted us on their behalf. What kind of business runs this way? I even had to try and contact them through YELP questions because there seemed to be no way to get a hold of them aside from making a visit to their shop, which was hard for me because I reside in Orange County. Even tried to make us feel like it was our fault for not coming in on a date he had told us the car would be done, but how can you trust his word after several times of pushing the date back?? I asked him to let us know and call us if the job was truly done. Of course, he never did and I had to call him to find out it was done. QUALITY OF WORK: A job that they told us would take a few weeks ran well over a month, and the job really isn't even complete because there are still pieces missing from the car. My father has had to take his car back in 3 times already because they didn't do a good job on the fitting of the doors and they were bent so air was coming in all over the place. The doors to this day still don't sit right and there are strange gaps here and there. Also, they didn't even replace some of the highly visible trim pieces, so we had to have them order new ones. Also, they completely didn't even put on a piece of trim that covers an open hole along the door, and we have been waiting for this piece for over 2 weeks now. I called yesterday and they told us they would check to see if they received it and would call me back in an hour or two. Of course, they never did. To this, we are just going to give up and count it as another loss because it is not worth the hassle for my parents to visit a 4th time and to try and deal with this horrible service. TIME: Because of the constant pushing back of dates and delays, my parents had to pay out of pocket initially for the rental car because AAA only offers 30 days for a rental and we were told that was more than what was needed. The only positive out of this entire ordeal was that they agreed after explaining our side that they should cover this extra amount, which Jose begrudgingly agreed. Literally, if you count the extra fixes that were required and the pieces that were missing and the extra visits, a job they told us should take a couple of weeks turned into over 3 months. THAT'S CRAZY. Who runs a business like this?? I will say that Jose Jr. seemed slightly more helpful than Sr. if you REALLY want to take a risk with all of the headaches of trying to get some decent help on your autobody work at this shop, I guess try and speak with him from the get go, but if you can't tell already, my conclusion is: I WHOLEHEARTEDLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP. Go elsewhere if you want to avoid headaches and waste time and effort at every step. read more

I requested an online quote through the app. This was one of the cheaper quotes I was given. I was giving close to a range of $700-$1500. It's was $780 here. Honestly going into it I wasn't expecting a lot. Based on it being at a lower price point. But the truck is flawless. Literally no complaints, cannot recommend it more. I did only have paint work done. So I can't speak upon the bodywork done at the shop, but it is good as a paint I would highly recommend this shop. My car has close to 303k in mileage. The paint was stripping down to the base plus there was extensive body work needed in addition to my neighbor recently hitting it and wanting to pay out of pocket as opposed to going thru insurance. Not only was I offered a competitive price for the job, Junior also helped me find a car rental for a fairly cheap price with some charges waived. I was in constant communication with the shop and they provided timely updates for when I would get my truck back. Overall, I felt extremely cared for and I could not be happier with the result. I was helped out for my partners car, took about 3 months the moment I received it I noticed less than a week of having it, the blind spot camera was never "aimed" so I gave a call. They've always told me they were going to call me back and never did, I kept calling and calling, no call back. I finally went in person about less than two months ago trying to get it fixed for the camera because I felt like they kept avoiding my calls and i told the shop I need this car fixed before my partner comes home (literally tomorrow). The person told me they were unfortunately unable to fix it due to their system, and they have to call their friend in order to get their system to help us fix the Blindspot camera but it's appointment only. I told him to please let me know, since I will be having another job soon. Due to having two jobs I am unable to go to them and the guy who works there did state he would text me. Never did. I still appreciate the help that was already done but the lack of communication and needing this issue being resolved is not ok. read more

After an unfortunate fender bender left a sizeable dent above my rear tire as well as a pretty significant scratch on the rear door, I began to search for a reputable repair shop. Took my car down to North County Auto Body; Jose came right out to inspect the damage, gave me an estimate and arranged a time that worked for us. Dropped my car off on Friday morning and picked it up Saturday afternoon. I couldn't believe it when I saw my car on the lot -- it looked showroom ready!! Not only did they repair and repaint the damage, they also touched up a few other dings (at no additional charge). The quoted price was what we paid. On top of that, they washed my vehicle!
