I have a 2017 Dodge Journey, and a couple of days ago the electrical just went crazy, with a lot of of the warning lights flashing on the dashboard, the display screen went blank, and then the car just stopped working. On the recommendation of a friend, I had it towed to Patrick Flynn's Collison & Frame. I talked to Dominic about the problem, and authorized him to do a diagnosis. It came back that the alternator was shot, and there were a couple of other minor problems - a hose and the belt needed replacing. Dominic had the problems fixed in a day. A couple of things I really appreciate about the experience. Dominic was great to work with, genuine and direct. He pointed out a few other problems that needed to be taken care of, but didn't try to upsell me on them. The hose and the belt needed to be done right away. The other is that Dominic recommended using quality parts from Dodge. I have had some problems with aftermarket parts over the last few years, I think the quality in general has gone way down. It cost a little more for the OEM parts, but it was worth it to me. I really appreciate that Dominic DIDN'T charge me for OEM parts and then put in aftermarket. It can be hard to find honest auto repair shops, but I'm really glad to have found this one. Highly recommend! read more

Crooked. I was t-boned and my car was totaled. The sheriff told me that the car would go to a tow yard but it wound up being towed 10 miles from my house, over 30 minutes away when there were quality body shops less than a mile from my house. Flynn's and the tow company have some sort of arrangement. I went to the office and the owner told me that he could fix my car as good as new, which was BS. The office was a mess and the yard looked like Fred Sanford's junkyard. For storage and towing, they charged over $3k and the car was there for less than a week. This was the most stressful and awful experience I've ever had. As a young girl who was in a traumatic car accident I felt like I was being lied to, manipulated, and treated poorly from start to finish with this company. There was no support and it was a nightmare trying to get my car moved from this company. They refused to release my vehicle for weeks which made the process of getting my insurance check so much longer. They were disrespectful once I told them they I would be moving my vehicle and tried multiple times to pressure me into changing my mind. I know for a fact that they are working with the tow truck guy. Never have I done business with such an IMMORAL business owner. Long story short: they tore down my car when I clearly said I did NOT want them to do so so they could charge me $800+. Long story: A van hit my car on the freeway and as a result, highway patrol called for towing services to tow my car to the nearest towyard. For some odd reason, the towing service took my car to a body shop: Patrick Flynn's Autobody (probably because the two parties struck a deal to give the person towing the car commission for every car he or she brought to the body shop.) The morning after the accident, I get a phone call from a Patrick Flynn representative saying they would help me out with getting a car rental and submitting a claim to insurance. I call them back in less than an hour and tell them that they DON'T have to make any moves because my lawyer will have the car towed to a body shop closer to my home and have it fixed there. The day after call, I arrange for the car to be towed back to my home area in Los Angeles and they tell me they had went ahead and TORE MY CAR DOWN (WITHOUT MY PERMISSION) and that it would be RELEASED ONLY IF I PAY $800+ fee on top of the other storage and logistical fees. R i d i c u l o u s. 1) Did they forget that they didn't have the car owner's authorization to have this done to the car? 2) Even if I wanted the car torn down (which I don't), they are supposed to wait, and first get an appraisal by my insurance company stating whether the car is totaled or fixable 3) The icing on the cake is that they LIED to my mother (the owner of the car) and said that I had authorized the tearing of the car via signature when the car was first towed away. I. DID. NO. SUCH. THING. Right after I disputed this claim, they changed tactics and then said I verbally authorized them to tear down my car. Once again, I. DID. NO. SUCH. THING. It is morally disgusting the levels to which people will stoop to line their pockets with a few more dollars. I do not care how capable a car shop is if their morals are so out of line to cheat a mother and her daughter out of $800+. Update: After I had my car sent to a new body shop, the shop told me that only the back bumper had been removed, the task of which should have taken ONE hour. On my bill from Patrick Flynn, I was charged $800+ for TEN hours of work. This is thievery. I don't want anyone to go through this nightmare and be scammed out of hundreds of dollars too. Please be careful when having your car towed! And avoid going to body shops with a history of dishonesty. read more

I totaled my car off the 15 In January. The tow truck driver suggested we drop our Tesla off there as it's the only certified Tesla shop in north county so we did. It was around 7pm during the NFL championships and he called Eric the owner to see if we could drop the car off. Not only did he answer immediately, he dropped everything and went to the shop to greet us. Upon arrival with plenty of duress from the wreck, he was kind and gracious. He gave us a rental that very minute (even though I had ptsd of driving). From there on, the interactions were only the same that I had experienced before. She is so on top of everything and also updates me! I had issues with insurance and she was right there helping me and also calling them and bugging them till we got an answer. FIRST IMPRESSIONS COUNT: Because I live in the neighborhood, I stopped in to Patrick Flynns to inquire about some body and paint repairs I was considering for my car. When I pulled up I wondered what kind of place this was. Cars parked in front of the building behind a fence made the place look like more of a wrecking yard than a repair shop. Inside the lobby/office was a house keeping disaster, old file boxes stacked in several spots on the floor, clutter stacked everywhere on every desk or flat surface available, what a mess! The gentleman I spoke with seemed nice enough, but gave me an uneasy feeling as we spoke. I thanked him for his time after a few questions and left without him even looking at my car. I just couldn't help wondering as I drove away, if the customer areas and the front area of the building looked that bad, what would the repairs on my car look like. It struck me as no pride in the shop, means no pride in the work on customers cars. I ended up taking my car elsewhere and was quite satisfied with the work done. read more

I have been taking my vehicles to Patrick Flynn's for a quarter of a century, and never had the least reason to complain about them. With 5 drivers in the family and a constantly changing collection of cars in the driveway, the toll of dings, dents, gouges and crumpled panels over the past 25 years has been fairly extensive. Over the years we have taken in a 94 Escort (twice), a 95 Cougar (3 times), a 92 Grand Marquis (3 or 4 times), an 87 Celica (twice), an '07 Corolla several times, a 2000 Ford Windstar and a 2000 Town car each once. Between 1990 and 1996 my 1990 Toyota SR5 3.0 pickup was involved in 6 separate accidents (5 of those it was hit while stationary!). Flynn's took care of all the repairs in a professional, businesslike manner. The truck was ready on time, and cleaner when I got it back than when I took it in. They have worked directly with my insurance company for every repair job. I simply drop off the vehicle, they call me in a few hours to tell me when it's going to be ready, and that's that. When the work is done, I go pay the deductible, and drive off with a car that's at least as good as it was before the latest impact, if not better. I love this place. read more

Looking at some of the other reviews, I feel I should add this: the 1-star reviews for this place almost all relate to the amount of time it took to get something fixed, and the difficulty in getting someone to answer your calls, or call you back with useful info on how long it will take. Yes, this happened to us too, and was VERY frustrating. I think they take in too many jobs, and their front office support staff is slim... however, to me, that was negated by the fact that they did such a great job on the Jeep. I had $3,500+ worth of body damage to the back side.The experience with the tow company was horrendous so going into this whole repair I wasn't in the best of moods but Derrick @ at the shop took the best care of my Optima he was so patient and answered all of my questions.. I got the mom and pop feel from this business amazing customer service and even better body work! Not only did the team make my car look brand new but they did it in a timely and kind matter. WARNING FAMILY Of HUNGRY SCAMMERS- I was very dumb for not checking the reviews for Patricks Flynn's and to sum it up for you, Wendy and Patrick run a scam shop that lies to you every step of the way and treats you like shit. I was "guaranteed I would not pay more than my deductible" as I was in there due to some debree on the freeway that ripped all of my under shields on the bottom of the car and damaged my bumper. Wendy was very quick when I first came in the shop to see if they would work with my insurance and she assured me they would and said as I quoted earlier. They told me I would only have to get a rental for 3 days. I ended up having to get a rental for 6 day's. To find out when I could pick it up I had to call every day to find out the status and when it would be done and when I called they would give the most unprofessional attitude and service and then every day they would lie to me saying that they would call me on a certain day or time to let know when they might have an idea when my car would be done and would never call. For those 6 day's they should have been calling my insurance like they said they were to get a check from them but they decided it would be easier after they "helped me out" by giving me a disgusting old Pontiac relic from the 80's thats was dirty, full of trash, almost empty on gas and I felt like I was lucky to get it to start every time I turned it on. They told me with my car sitting outside the office that if they let me take my car I would have to pay the full balance of $2,345 because the insurance hasn't sent them a check since they never botherd to call and get it, which I verified with my insurance claim adjustee. To end this unbelievably unprofessional and unpleasant experience after I paid them the full balance to release my car they then had the time to call my insurance and try to screw me again and luckily I got my claims adjuster to cancel the check they sent to them and reissue it to me. When I called Wendy to confront her as she was in the middle of scamming me she acted as if she didn't know who I was, even though we had been talking every day on the phone and in person. Dont go to this horrible, unprofessional, lying, scammers. read more
