My granddad built a nice car shop for him and family to use, my dad helped stock it and I grew up with them always working on theirs or family members cars. So it's difficult to trust anyone with truly caring for my car and not cheating me because soooo many have attempted until they realize I know a decent amount to not be 'had'. Im grateful each place I've lived I have found places I can trust, takes some searching and listening to locals. A friend recommended this shop and I'm so glad because when I walked in it felt a lot like walking into my granddad's shop. They run a great shop. Workers are nice and seem to really care. They make you feel comfortable leaving such an important part of your family with them, the family car! They have a waiting room, they use to provide snacks, it's been a while since we've waiting there so not sure now. Last few times we've left the vehicle with them. I'm so grateful they didn't push unnecessary upsells on customers. We were out of town and my husband took our suv to a valvoline... now some are decent, but most are all about that upsell and Walmart didnt even change the filter yet said they did and charged me! So while there's been a few times in life I've had to use what was available where I was, we live here now and T n T is where we go! For both vehicles. read more

I was referred to TNT because of their reputation as Toyota specialists. When I first called, they were able to schedule my truck quickly, unlike many other shops that had a week or longer wait. I dropped it off at closing, and by the next morning, the starter motor had already been replaced. The work was done quickly, efficiently, and at a very reasonable price. Later, I noticed a strange knocking sound that I couldn't identify. The mechanic took the time to offer a few suggestions in case it was something simple, which I really appreciated, it showed their honesty and customer first approach. I have a 2013 Honda pilot that was have an issue. I took it to a different auto shop that only gave me one very expensive option. I brought my car to TNT because a friends aunt has been coming here for over a decade and I'm so glad I did. They explained my cars issue, gave me one option that was more expensive but it did involve a total replacement of this part, but they also gave me a much more affordable option to repair the part . They were very clear about what each service entailed and what it would mean for my vehicle. They worked with my schedule and my car came out working great. My wife found Nancy and her team here at TNT Auto Repair about 5 years ago from word of mouth at her church here in Oside. We took a chance back then and we found our mechanics/repair shop for life!!! The crew at TNT knows their stuff but even more importantly, they are kind, they are friendly and they are honest and that is absolutely HUGE! As anyone who has ever taken their vehicle in for repairs knows, repair shops can and often are, very shady! Not Nancy and TNT. They are affordable and fair! My wife has gotten 5 years worth of service to her Toyota Sienna and I have been taking my '05 Lexus GX 470 in and have had everything from oil changes to tire replacements to air bag (suspension) removal to other major work. I started going to TNT in 2021 and they serviced my car for 2 years. At that time I had an open issue with my prior auto repair shop. The open issue did not involve TNT or any work they performed or intended to do. My former repair shop contacted TNT regarding the work I paid TNT to perform. TNT gave them my records without informing me. I went to TNT about this and they said they gave my records as a courtesy to another shop. TNT did not give me the courtesy of asking if they could share my personal information and didn't apologize. I was disappointed. read more

I don't drive a 15 year old pile of crap car and do most of my own maintenance for fun. It's especially not fun with a hurt back and neck that forced me to retire, but times are tough. I called TNT today and spoke with Rex. I asked him how much they'd charge me to scavenge my AC system and then recharge it after I replaced the compressor and condenser at home. Rex wouldn't help. He said "I prefer to keep the work in house. It's not something I'm interested in doing." Thanks Rex . You're a real stand up guy. Since I'm ethical and don't want to destroy the planet, I called a different shop nearby. They had no problem accommodating what I asked for. In fact they knew exactly what I was talking about, quoted me a price and made an appointment. I realize the service I asked for isn't a big money maker for a shop, but it's not like you'd be doing something for free. It's a very simple procedure. You refusing the service will probably result in some diy guys to just skip the scavenging and destroy the planet. Shame on you. read more

This review is long overdue. I've come to this shop for a few years now and they have been consistent in providing an HONEST, high quality service every single time I've needed their services. I came in cause my front number was popped off on one side. All I needed was a couple of new fasteners but I wanted to make sure the job was done right the first time. They popped in a few new fasteners and because I wasn't even in their shop for 15 min they didn't charge me at all. Good And Bad. I came here because my father had come here a number of times and was apparently happy. I've personally had two good experiences and one bad. 1. I had a tuneup and basic checkup before smog check two years ago. It was around $165 as I recall. They quoted a price and were close. 2. My valve gasket cover was loose and there was oil on my engine as a result. They repaired it. It wasn't inexpensive but it wasn't expensive either. 3. I took my vehicle in for front brakes. They quoted me $230-$260. It cost $620? They said something about "trapped calipers." I felt they should have known about this when they gave me the quote being as they specialize in Toyota vehicles. $620 for front brakes only? I was in shock. My dad took his Toyota for an engine light problem. They kept it for a week, charged him $360 as I recall, told him they couldn't find the problem and referred him to another shop that had it for over another week and charged him over $600. My father's been back since. I won't go back. read more

I've had all five of my Toyotas serviced at TNT since 1990. My family's cars have gone through an engine, head rebuild, rear end replacement, rack and pinion replacements, electrical repairs, radiators, water pumps, brakes, starter motors...TNT has fixed it all for us. This shop is honest. I've never once been given a hard sell for something my car didn't need. I completely trust them. They get the repairs done right and in a timely manner. Nancy has saved me tons of $$ by finding remanufactured parts while avoiding the over-priced dealer. I keep my cars running for years and years, seldom buying new. Thus, I'm very, very finicky about my cars and their maintenance, and I like to know all of the details of "what" and "why". Tim and Nancy take the time to make sure all of my questions are answered. A typical car repair at TNT for me now goes like this: call Nancy to describe the issue and get an appt., drop the car off the night before, TNT makes the repair, I pay over the phone, and pick up the car after work. She stated that they are very honest and very reasonable. I knew I came to the right place when I spoke with the manager and her friendly Golden Retriever. TNT is a family business and works with the customer. They use genuine factory parts and perform factory services at reasonable rates. I have had a new clutch and stainless steel brake lines installed. They were upfront when I brought over an aftermarket coil over system. They attempted to install it, but were having difficulty with the instructions written in Japanese. They informed me that they had never installed this particular custom part. Brought it in and they told me that the last place that did my oil change had used a cardboard gasket that couldn't hold....I walked out a very happy camper... DON'T TRUST THIS SHOP! After TWO back to back "break checks" and an "everything looks good" report from TNT, my car began to pulsate and shake when I would break. I called TNT about it and they said my breaks were "fine" when "adjusted", on TWO different visits, two weeks apart. *My car had an unrelated brake issue, after the first diagnostic, where the break pedal lost all tension and I had no breaks. NONE. TNT had the car towed back to their shop, at their expense, and after two lengthy test drives and a "thorough" inspection to figure out why that would happen, they could not get the car to symptomize. I wanted to know what could have caused the pedal to lose all tension/break power and they guessed it may be the "brake master cylinder." I paid $600 to get a new brake master cylinder, never knowing if it was needed or not. On this visit, I asked that my breaks be inspected again and she assured me they would be. It shows on both visit's invoices that my breaks were inspected. My breaks were definitely not inspected. My car began pulsating and shaking when I would break, only days after it was at TNT the second time. Because Nancy had said my breaks were "fine" when I told her my car was shaking and pulsating, I went to another shop (A-1 Auto Care in Carlsbad, CA) for break inspection number three. After a 30-min inspection, they diagnosed torn rotors, thin, warped, oblong shaped pads that needed replacement. Both front and back breaks needed repair. It was a $400 break job. After having my front/back breaks and rotors repaired, I called Nancy, the owner, to tell her what happened. I set up an appointment to show her the invoices from both shops, and to help me make sense of why my break issues were not diagnosed during either visit. Nancy said the invoices "meant nothing," that she could care less what the other shop said and she's not going to "trust another shop." I wanted her to explain why my breaks weren't inspected on either visit, when I was told they were. She again said they were inspected and nothing was wrong with them. After the TWO inspections from TNT, not only was my car pulsating and shaking when I breaked, the last invoice stated clearly all the work it took to fix my brakes. Why would she not trust another shop? It is TNT that can not be trusted! DON'T TRUST THIS SHOP! After TWO break checks, my breaks needed serious work from another shop. Nancy never apologized. She only said over and over that she paid for $200 to have my car towed twice to her shop. Bottom line is this: I took my well-running Camry in for a diagnostic and 2-visits and $900 later, I needed a $400 break job from another shop that could competently check and repair my breaks.
