Wow! B & C auto repair is one of the best and most trustworthy auto repair shop in town. We had two of our three cars worked on my Cory and his team and each time we are extremely satisfied. They were able to get our car looked at in a reasonable time and were quick to have it finished. My car drives better than it did before taking it in and I'm extremely satisfied. Not only are they great mechanics but great people. I happened to leave my cell phone in my car when I dropped it off early in the morning and I called a few hours later to let them know and put it in a safe place. On our way thru the grapevine while pulling our 35' fifth wheel, our battery light came on. Figured it was the alternator. Planned to stay in Vista a few days then on to Grand Canyon. You know when you walk in somewhere and you can already tell you can trust a place, that's how I felt here. I've been very lucky to not need a mechanic for my car, but when I started hearing a squealing I was already dreading finding somewhere to take it. I got on the phone with Ray and he was really nice and squeezed me in despite how busy they are (and should be because of the quality of service.) They had a few people out sick, and he still took the time to take a look for me. It was a something small, (thank goodness) and he explained the causes and next steps if it continued. Seeing the interactions of the staff and other customers you can tell they take pride in their service, and work. Even with that short visit, I know where I'm going in the future! I called yesterday to make an appointment, and Cory told me they were slow and that I didn't need one. So I got in right at 8am thinking I might be out by noon or 1pm. By 2pm I haven't heard from them so I start calling. After 3 attempts go to voicemail, on my 4th call Cory answers with a quick"please hold." After holding 40 minutes I hung up. I drive over there at 4:15 and talk to Cory. Well...they haven't looked at my car yet. No apology. Cory says, "Maybe we can look at it before we close." I'm completely discouraged. My day off with no car, and next opportunity to get it fixed won't be for another week. Not at him, but at the situation I say the f word. Cory loses it. By the time he's done, he's physically threatening me, pushing his belly up against me, telling me to get off "his" property. Well, I'm gone, for good. I called and spoke to Ray, the owner, regarding the cost of reading codes for my limited edition Roadster. I have never experienced such an honest and personable individuals in the automotive field. Ray mentioned they are certified in my make of car, but he rather refer me to a specialist who has experience with my year and model! The shop he was referring me to is just like his "family owned." They are not worried about meeting a quota but making sure the client is happy and the repairs are done correctly that they no longer have to see the car again because it was done right ther first time. He was kind enough to call the other shop owner to give him a heads up that I will be coming in and to take care of me. As a female who knows a moderate amount of auto repairs almost all shops try to take advantage, so I appreciate Ray that much more. Even though I didn't use their services, I highly recommend them! EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!! I was driving my Carpet Cleaning van on the 15 S, it's raining, when my truck started shaking at 60 mph. It did this a few other times and I had to cancell my upcoming job due to unsafe driving. So.. I take my Van to these guys, Famiky owned and operated, and they did me right. My major issue (aside of some other pending things to be addressed in the future) was I needed two new front tires.. That's it. Great service and friendly. New to the area, I called B & C Auto since my Nissan Titan needed a new carrier bearing replaced. Talked to Ray, the owner, and he quoted me a fair price for the service. While in the shop, he also noticed that I had a left front wheel bearing going out (which I already knew about), , called me and let me know about this. Brought my, new to me, 02 Ford 7.3 E350 Diesel Van in for an alignment because it was wandering and pulling to the left at freeway speeds. They diognozed the real underling issue (worn out ball joints) and let me know right away. I just picked it up and went for a joy ride. Runs better than new!! Spent a lot of money here on struts it turned out I didn't need and they left the left strut mount improperly bolted causing a rattle I complained they took it back to fix couldn't find the problem but the next shop did along with identifying an important safety issue b and c missed...very disappointed!! read more

Great shop! Ray is the owner and is a real nice guy. I had some engine problems with my 2014 diesel Silverado that another shop couldn't figure out. That shop was just throwing parts at it and charging my for it. B&C told me many wires were not secured properly and simply zip tied them down to prevent excessive vibration which was causing all the sensor issues. My truck has been running great for a year now. They only charged my for 2 hours labor. read more

If you're an organized person, who likes to be told the straight truth and look for shops that value customer service, find another! If you don't like to be ripped off, find another shop! I was referred to B&C for repair on my diesel. Let me start by saying, I'm sure they're good mechanics but Ray, running their customer service, should retire! Their customer service and communication skills are so outrageously lacking, I will never do business with these guys again and never recommend anybody go see them. I needed a repair of my A/C unit, through a after market warranty. After dissembling the entire dash (to diagnose the issue), only then did they call the warranty. When they decided they didn't like the warranty's rates and made zero attempt to work with them, they stuck me with a bill for more than $500 to tear the dash apart and reassemble it! This all took 4 days by the way! Because their communication is SO POOR, I had no idea what end was up or what the warranty would pay for, not pay for, etc. After 4 days of complete frustration, i went to get the un-repaired truck, vowing to find another shop. I should have listened to my gut. Somehow Ray convinced me to bring the truck back for one more try, promising to have the parts on site when I arrived 2 weeks later. The day I arrived, (this is now round 2 with Ray) no parts on site. They have to be ordered from the dealer. This is Tuesday and I'm leaving Friday morning to go camping with my family. As it turns out, the dealer was now out of the parts and they wouldn't arrive for 3-4 days. When I said I needed my truck for a family camping weekend, he could not have cared less! When I quoted Ray on his promise to have the parts there, he basically called me a liar and said "too bad it's not within my control". I called my local Dodge dealer, where B & C gets their parts. I asked if any other dealer had them and could they be expedited? Something a good shop, who cares about their customers needs would have done. Guess what? A Dodge dealer in northern California had the parts that for $15 could have been sent overnight. Did Ray ask about that, knowing I needed my truck? Not a chance! On another note, they recommended I replace a filter, for $380. Thinking it was an internal filter, complex to R&R, I looked to our friend Google. Come to find out it's a $60 part that took me 15 minutes to R&R! Look, I'm sure like their mechanical skills, Ray is a nice old man but he is so completely unorganized and never ONCE offered an apology of any type! read more

Had a GTR grill put on my Mercedes c-class. Communication with the shop was great and very friendly staff ready to help. The quote for the install seemed kind of high but it is a Mercedes. The instal was clean with no damage or scratches to the vehicle. Quality work, the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the quote/ hourly rate seemed high. I brought the new part to them. I think the questions most people ask is "does anyone know a good honest mechanic". Well you do now!! Here is the problem most people have, they get mad about the cost to repair their car correctly. If you want a band-aide fix them you get a half bakes repair. These guys have worked on three of my vehicles and even when I say "just fix whatever needs fixing because my daughter has to drive 800 miles in this car". You'd expect more than a $70 repair bill. They had my credit card and full authorization to fix whatever. Nope they said it was good and did oils and filters. Done. You don't get soaked. They are in business for the long haul. The actual service of my car was fine. However, they are not following COVID protocols and no one in the office, and mechanics when they come into the office, are wearing masks. My husband said something, and the response was "we are around each other all the time" and you are wearing a mask so you are fine". Well customers are not around them all the time and the only way masks work is if both people are wearing them. My most recent visit was for their induction service. My Camry's ECU was not properly relearning its idle RPM rate and randomly stalling.
