Poor Quality of Service also they price gauged you. I had a terrible experience with them. My car broke down in oceanside. Had to tow it to them because of AAA service. I'm from San Diego and I have never had any issues with previous mechanics in my life. Unfortunately I had no choice but to take them to this guys. The issue is that my car is European and only need it a alternator swap not only they wanted 800 for a alternator which is extremely rip off since my Volvo is a 2007 so I got the alternator under 300 bucks then he calls me and says is the EMG then he claim it was the computer. Well I got him all the parts and decided to do a modify supposedly my computer was damage which was not true! My key just to register so to make things worse they sclean their hands from the damages and held my car for a month and now he can't fix it?' So I call the Bureau of automotive file a claim and they refuse to fix it so then they ask them to waive the storage and now it has turned into. Nightmare and that is going legal the problem is they don't know nothing about European cars and classic cars also he told me it was my fault because I did not work with him?! That's intentional malice and now it has escalated to legal because my car is not longer functional I had that car for ions and is impossible to brake a Volvo and this guy cost me my car and my work so now I have to go legal! Please don't take the car to this shop they are not there to help you at all,they are there to stick you with a bill on unnecessary repairs then they screw up with your electrical system! The shop and the main manager are the problem is more the owner! I don't care if they been around since the 80s most of this guys are not there to help you only to upsell and brake your car! Now I lost my Volvo and it has been donated to charity and now I have to take legal steps and actions to get them to assume responsibility! read more

I had to have my Kia's check engine sensor investigated and professionally diagnosed. This auto service in Oceanside was recommended in Yelp. The manager was very helpful and gave my car to his best mechanic for diagnosis. The mechanic had me look at what he was doing and fully explained his findings. Unfortunately for me, the news wasn't good. But, North County Auto in Oceanside treated me great, and the cost was worth every penny. I left fully understanding what my engine required. I originally went to North County Auto Service based on review I found on Yelp. I did not find a Jeep dealer in my area that got any favorable reviews so I thought I'd give them a try. They gave me an estimate based on the 100,000 mile service. Shortly after I left they called to say there was a problem with the oil cooler seals. I went back and they showed me the problem. I agreed to the additional work which they completed the next day. They did not use any after market parts because they said they didn't trust them to fix the problem. I will defiantly be returning for any service in the future. read more

I was scheduled at 8:30 the next day to get a headlight fixed and tire pressure gauge adjusted, and they called me at 9:30 to come and pick up my car. He gave me no nonsense appraisal of what I needed at 1/4 the price of my last shop. This morning I accidentally put oil in my coolant tank and called Rex. I recently brought my 1981 Jeep CJ-8 to North County Auto because I failed the California Smog test. They are my go to shop whenever I have problems with my jeep. I know when I take it there they will get the problem resolved and corrected with their highly trained mechanical staff. Mike the owner is outstanding and stands behind his work. This time Jorge repaired my vehicle. As it turned out my throttle body assembly was bad, and the fuel pressure regulator was faulty causing less fuel to be introduced into the combustion chamber which caused my engine to run lean, I also had many vacuum leaks. All were fixed and my jeep is running great. North County Auto diligently worked to get my jeep through this painful process of the California SMOG test. I have used only North County Auto for my Jeep over the past 14 years and they never let me down. I highly recommend this shop and their professionally trained mechanics. read more

Once again Mike and his team have provided exemplary service! I was driving on the 78 earlier and heard a loud scraping sound. I pulled off safely to see if it was my tire. My tires were all fine. I resumed driving and once home I looked at the undercarriage and saw the front protective cover was hanging on with only 2 bolts. I contacted North County Auto Service and within a few minutes Mike responded that he could help me, mind you this is almost 4:30 p.m. and they close at 5. I headed over and they immediately put my car up on the lift and assessed what was wrong. They fixed the problem in under 10 minutes and I was on my way. I am always a satisfied customer with Mike and his team but going above and beyond in a situation like this is why I am LOYAL to this business. Just moved to Oceanside, missing my great Auto shop in San Diego, I needed a new outer mirror on my car, rather fast. Driving without the mirror is just unsafe! I'm so grateful I found this auto repair shop. My 5 year old car needed a thorough inspection + oil change and I was told by the dealership (6 months ago) that the back brake pads needed to be replaced "soon". I was skeptical since the car had about 30,000 miles but wanted to be sure. After a thorough inspection at North County Auto Service, Mike (the owner) was very honest and said the car is in really excellent condition. He said it didn't need any work and could easily go another 10,000 miles without a major service. They looked at the brakes specifically and gave me the exact measurement of the pads, and said replacement at this point is not necessary. I suppose car dealership service departments are like western medicine where they lump everyone into one big bucket to give "recommendations", rather than looking at the specific individual. It died right on coast hwy while driving IDK I had it towed there & the next morning Rex called me twice letting me know that had my car & were happy to get it running again soon so I could be on the rd again. It ended up being a bad starting coil which is labor intensive to access so I had them replace all 3 that were old so I wouldn't have to do it again or be stranded from that.
