I took my Volt here for a 90k service, and they did an amazing job. Friendly, prompt, and fairly priced.

2003 Honda Accord 4 cylinder, The blower/fan for the heater/AC works when I just turn on the vehicle and then slowly shuts off. I believe it may be a short or resistor issue. What is the labor and part costs separately?

Just take it to them and they will give you an estimate. This is a great place to get your vehicle serviced. They are honest and do good work. Speak to Rex.

Hello, I would just like to ask how much it will cost me for an alternator replacement, parts and labor? And also if I can get the parts, how much for the labor? Same question for a clutch disc.…

They've worked 2 of my cars & always need the car info like vin#, mikeage, etc so I'd reccomend you share that to get an accurate quote. Best of luck

We called Dave's, explained to them what was going on, and got the car towed in to the shop. From the moment we came in to the moment we left, we knew we were in good hands. This shop was very honest and transparent and did a really great job with the repair. We enjoyed a sunset run around town and the before our run was done, the car was ready to go! Our Sprinter van is older and we have been to a couple of different mechanics in different areas. Dave's is the gold standard. If we lived in the area, they would be our shop. This is the best experience we have had with a car mechanic and would consider ourselves lucky if we broke down near his shop again.

His prices were very reasonable (after shopping around) and I was impressed with his efforts in confirming any problems before doing the work. So recently the dealership told us our rear brake pads were down to 2mm. I didn't have time that day for the dealer to do the work, and then decided to have A Better Auto Repair do the job. They removed the wheels and confirmed with photos we still had 5mm of pad left. They had every incentive to just go ahead and replace the pads, but they were honest enough to let me know I still had life left on the pads and could wait to replace them until worn further. They even topped off the coolant. Enough said. I'll be returning.

A bit of an embarassing story: Sunday morning, I went to a nearby gas station. The gas pump didn't fit in my nozzle of my Honda Civic 2014. For some reason , my common sense flew out the window and I forcefully pumped the gas in my car anyways. Well, that happened to be diesel gas I put in my gasoline powered-car. Drove it for a mile or two, and it stalled. Anyways, moral of the story: Don't make the same mistake like I did. A simple, avoidable mistake (with a hint of common sense) is the difference between shelling out a hefty amount of money from your pocket. Back to the story: I searched for a nearby mechanic who will take my car in and fix it the same day. Chris' mechanic shop popped up. Seeing that it had good reviews on Yelp, I decided to give him a call. Chris was very responsive and understanding. Even if he had several other cars on a Sunday, he decided to squeeze me in, worked on my car and get it running the very same day. His pricing is very reasonable too; Unlike other mechanics who will try to squeeze as much money from you, Chris is rather honest and straightforward. I'm glad that there are still mechanics like Chris around. I definitely will recommend him to anyone who is looking for a hard-working, trust-worthy mechanic in the area.

It had started when I drove through SF and I had driven with white knuckles all the way down the 5. When I arrived to town, I wanted to get it straightened out right away and so began my Google research. Though Westcoast Auto did not pop up in my initial search for RV services, I was referred to the by Gary's RV Service down the road as he said they had a rack that would support our short bus conversion. Don't let the somewhat dingy appearance of the shop's exterior deter you. It is an auto garage, after all. The crew and the lady at the front desk were very polite and helpful. They put the bus on the rack and within minutes had diagnosed the problem as a separated tire tread. This was great news as I was bracing myself for the worst: suspension, alignment, damage to my rim, etc. Truth be told, they could have claimed that any of these things were the issue and I would have blindly paid for it to get back on the road. They were honest, however, and charged me only $65 for a used tire to get me back up and running. The bus is driving great now and our family is able to enjoy our vacation with peace of mind, as well as a newfound appreciation for the honest humans of the world.
