During our conversation, she shared that B&C Auto Repair has been serving customers for three generations and that her son, Corey, now proudly carries on that legacy. After speaking with Corey, it became immediately clear where he learned his exceptional customer service. He was patient, knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely took the time to answer every question I had without ever making me feel rushed. In today's world, that level of personal attention is rare. I brought my 2024 Ford F-250 Lariat Ultimate to B&C for suspension work, engine upgrades, and several aftermarket modifications, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. The technicians, Matt and Stephen, were just as friendly, professional, and knowledgeable as Corey. Even while they were busy working on my truck, they took the time to explain the work being performed, answer my questions, and made sure I understood every step of the process. Everyone i spoke to there was very nice and thoroughly listened to me, while also providing me information on what needed to be done. They quoted me a price and that was what I paid, they didn't try to get me to do anything more. On my first visit they also noticed a nail in my tire and put some air in it as it was extremely low and i didn't realize. Thankfully a discount tire is just down the street. If you need to drop your car off they also have a great shopping plaza nearby to kill some time while you wait. If you are looking for a new shop, id recommend giving them a try. Nice staff all.atound and seem very honest.

Yes, 5 stars! Here's why: 1) FRIENDLY, RESPECTFUL SERVICE With everyone who walks through the door! Bo, the manager, speaks at least 3 languages! Talk about customer service! 2) CLEARLY EXPLAINS SERVICE NEEDED, and walks through the estimate in a detailed way, willing to answer questions, patiently, without being patronizing. 3) GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR, HUMBLE, KIND. 4) CLEAN ORDERLY SHOP tastefully decorated with "before and after" parts: for example--burnt out spark plugs compared to new ones; bad rotors compared to good ones. He showed me the new part that he ordered for my car, and then compared it to the failed one they had removed--visually comparing the two was very helpful! 5) DID WHAT HE SAYS HE WOULD DO-I came in with check engine light (Honda Accord) They ran the code (for free!)--O2 Ratio Sensor out. Bo checked on the part, wrote up an estimate, gave me the option of *same day* service, and was very respectful when I declined--no pressure. I walked out and went home and did my homework--I called other highly-rated shops in the area, as well as others recommended by friends--by far, Bo's estimate came in as the best price. He told me to expect that the gas mileage would return to the factory's specs. I left the next day on a 400 mile trip--gas mileage is back to its stellar 32+mpg! 6) OFFERS 100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION GUARANTEE YES! I would return without hesitation to this shop! Thank You BO and you Service Crew, this place was a great find. I am so pleased with the professionalism and great service work, I highly recommend this location for any work having to be done for your vehicle. I am usually very skeptical on offering reviews for Auto service departments, seeing that I used to work for a large Parts / Service company several years ago known as "The Boy's". I know that it is hard to trust someone will teat you fairly and take care of you #1 transportation. My 2002 GMC Envoy was running rough and the Engine light came on, over due for a tuneup. BO took me in right away informing me of all the steps that will be needed to bring my truck back up to specifications. After the work intended to be done BO had a diagnostic be ran on the vehicle and found one of the ignition coils running under low voltage which in the long run needing replacement. After all service was done plugs replaced, fuel injection cleaned, fuel filter changed, compression checked and Ignition coil changed my truck was running so good. I had a concern of the other 5 ignition coils going bad, BO informed me that he had all the coils tested and they were still good. Future service will be having the rest of the coils replaced so that I do not run into this situation again. One again Thank you BO for the great service. DISHONEST! I took my 2009 Lexus RX350 to Advanced Auto Repair on Dec 5, 2019 for a smog test and the car failed the smog test. I was told that the car needed its "wirings repair and reorganized" (their words, not mine). Labor cost for "repair and reorganized" $65. Cost of "wirings" $18.06. Plus $29.98 for retest for a total cost of $113.04. This is in addition to the $29.98 I already owed Advanced Auto Repair for the smog test that failed. Advanced Auto Repair conveniently had the "wirings" in stock and wanted me to have the car fix that same afternoon. Something didn't feel right so I paid Advanced Auto Repair $29.98 for the smog test that failed and rushed out of there. I took my 2009 Lexus RX350 to All Autos Smog two days later and the car passed the smog test with no problem. No "wirings repair and reorganized" needed. Beware of Advanced Auto Repair. They advertised at "get1free" coupon magazine for a $19.98 (plus $10 for SUV) smog test. Low price but based on my experience, it's too good to be true. I would have spent $143.02 for a smog test that was advertised for $19.98 (plus $10 for SUV). read more

beware beware beware.....this shop is a joke..when your car leaves sounding worse from when you brought it in...something is very wrong...you should never leave one mechanic shop and go directly to another and they show you things that where missed, bolts that where not reconnected, interior unit not put in right ect...another thing is when your car is different from when you brought it in regardless of if the mechanic shop feels its just a coincidence..dont make the customer pay, just fix the problem especially if its only $60...i was able to get it down to $50..but i just paid over $700 the day before...bottom line i want to feel happy or satisfied when i leave a shop..not angry or frustrated!!!!!! one more thing be ready to call them to check on your vehicle...they don't make phone calls to let u know anything...there to disorganized..they can keep thier lifetime guarantee...because i guarantee i will never step foot in that shop again!!!!!!!! read more

I have been bringing my work van to Bo for a over a year now. Advanced Auto installed a great rebuilt engine about six months ago when my old one gave out and also replaced my transmission about a month and a half ago. I have also had a complete brake job done, oil changes, catalytic converter replaced (for smog), rear axle repaired, had front bumper replaced and an alignment. My van is running great, better than it ever has, and I have nothing but great things to say about Advanced Auto. If you want an honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanic, bring your vehicle here. My dad is also a customer and we both really appreciate all the work that has been done on our vehicles. I highly recommend bringing your car here for anything you need fixed or repaired. Bo and his mechanics are awesome and reliable. This place is a gem! I have had multiple issues with my '98 Lexus and each time I was able to get my car seen the same day. I was given a FREE loaner car to save me any added inconvenience. That alone, has me as a customer for life. I can get my car repaired, expect honest and upfront feedback, including photos of what's getting worked on and a full walk through of what they're doing. They give you excellent deals to keep you happy and save you money. The owner is respectful and not at all pushy. He offers free diagnostics, excellent labor rates and part costs are unbeatable. I called to ask for a quote about my broken gas pump door, he asked me to come round to take look, 15 minutes later my door was repaired for free! Great service and humor. Bo, Chris, and the staff here have really great customer service. Bo is very honest and genuinely wants to help customers get necessary vehicle repairs while also saving them money. For example, l was charged $150 here because they needed about 2 hours to complete a diagnosis due to my Durango leaking transmission fluid. After misdiagnosing the issue and getting an AC condenser replaced at Aamco, Bo refunded the $150 l spent and apologized for inaccurately misdiagnosing the problem. That shows me that they value customer service and will take accountability, even when mistakes are made. l highly recommend this place as l have also gotten other repairs completed to my Durango here. read more

I looked up auto mechanics for transmissions and this was the first place that popped up on the list probably because it's the closest one to my house so I brought my 08 Scion and they said that they can help me out, I guess I burned down my clutch because I bought it to learn how to drive standard manual on it, they gave me a quote and service/fixed my clutch / transmission ,in like 2 days it was ready, I now have a brand new clutch installed, clutch slave cylinder, general transmission servicing,etc , so I feel good now that I have a well maintained car, it drives super smooth now and I'm really happy and that mechanic manager guy Chris is a really cool guy too read more

I went in to get my Solara serviced: brakes and fog lights amazing service. Brakes are running great and for some reason my fog lights kept cutting off and the mechanics did not stop troubleshooting until they found and fix the problem. Bo makes it very clear before any work is done on your car what the problem is and the costs of parts and labor. Bo guarantees his work for life (very rarely are there mechanics with that same guarantee). His wife runs the nail salon next door so I was able to use her services and had a great experience there as well. Bo and his wife are wonderful people that are honest. Advanced Auto Repair are very helpful, honest and excellent place.It's hard to find an honest shop like them,our car is not starting because of electrical problem they fix it and one more they told us that the rubber engine and brake linings are really in bad condition and should be replaced.They understand the costumer when they cannot afford and they allow me to pay later because were out of budget for the additional replacement that they found out.They trust me and I trust them too.They really make sure that your car is in good condition when you get it back. I took my 06 Mercedes in for testing when my check engine light came on. They were able to find the problem quickly and I was assured I would be kept in the loop during the entire process which I was. This shop was able to save me almost $2000.00 compared to the dealership and two other estimates I received for replacing the intake manifold and labor fees. 1 star. Do not bring your car here…read more I brought myJeep SRT8 in for a valve cover, oil pan, and crank seal job on 5/8. Got it back 5/13, five days for a two-day quote. It was smoking before I even got back to work. Oil dripping onto the headers. Returned it same day, they re-torqued and sent me home. Still smoking. Dropped it back off 5/14 at 3:10PM. Picked up 5/15. Two lights from the shop my transmission started slipping hard in second gear. Turned right back around. Owner Ricky confirmed the slip on a test drive. His first question was whether I'd done aftermarket work to the transmission, trying to make it my fault before we even got back to the shop. Plugged in a scanner, found an old unrelated stored code, erased it, drove it again. His conclusion: "I don't know what to tell you." I pointed out the transmission was perfect at drop-off. He got angry. Said no one drove it, they only idled it. Then offered to pull camera footage as proof. I said let's go watch it right now. He said he had other things to do. This happened in front of my fiancée and two of his own employees. No intake paperwork was made when I returned the car, no mileage logged for the exact period the transmission failed. What I can tell you is the mileage on my car does not support the story they're telling. A certified third-party inspection from the shop literally 150 feet away documented my transmission passing with zero issues the same morning I dropped off. The oil pan job on the 6.1L HEMI also requires physically moving the transmission for access. They did something and when confronted with the proof, they dodged cameras and kicked me out. BAR complaint filed. Small claims next. Update "Response to Ricky, thank you for responding publicly this actually helps me significantly. You identified yourself here as "Business Manager." When I asked you in person for the owner, you said you were in front of witnesses. That is now publicly documented. Regarding the OBD codes : the stored code found was a historical "lost communication with TCM" event. That is not a transmission mechanical failure code. It is entirely unrelated to active gear slipping. Any qualified technician or BAR investigator will confirm those are two completely different things. Regarding the SRT8 being driven aggressively: on the morning of my drop-off, another shop conducted a certified digital multi-point inspection of my vehicle. 31 of 33 systems passed. Transmission was in the green. The only red flags were the exact leaks I hired you to fix. That inspection is timestamped and on record. A performance vehicle with aggressive driving history does not pass a certified inspection hours before drop-off and then suddenly fail two blocks from your shop after picking up You stated the transmission was not touched. The 6.1L HEMI oil pan job requires the transmission to be lowered for access. It does not need to be fully removed to be disturbed. You also claim no evidence exists linking your repairs to the transmission failure. There is also no intake paperwork from my return visit, meaning no mileage baseline exists for the exact period the failure occurred. That absence of documentation benefits only one party, and it is not me. Your building advertises transmission services. You told me to my face you don't diagnose transmissions. Thank You Sir

I want to know, how much would Eric charge me for this Brake Light Part and how much would he charge for his labor including the sales tax? Eric told me to send him 3 photos of my car and to text message him from the Oceanside Car Clinic's business phone number. Then Eric said he will give me the (price of the Brake Light Part) and he will also give me a FREE Quote on the (Brake Light Replacement Service). I said okay great. I see this as (poor customer service) and the Oceanside Car Clinic needs to improve on their customer service skills. Please next time respond back to that person calling into your shop for a quote on a specific service. My assumption maybe is that since I told Eric I am a loyal customer at my local shop at the Golden Wrench Automotive Shop. It could possibly be that Eric doesn't want to take away another shop's business. I don't really know for sure, because I am not a mind reader. I also learned that when I call around to some other automotive repair shops to compare prices on a specific service that I want a Free Quote on, these other automotive repair shops, they just care about making a profit and they don't care about me.
