They're thorough, honest and reasonable. I recently took my car in and described 2 issues I was having. Allen told me to go to the parts store, told me what to get and how to take care of it myself. Then he smiled and said, "I'll give you the easy ones...if it doesn't work bring it back." That cost me less than $20. AWESOME! Just yesterday I started hearing a noise in the front end. Kien knew exactly what it was and in a couple hours time it was taken care of and a lot less than I was anticipating. Michael provided a much more reasonable quote, but what amazed me was after I arrived, he opened the hood to show me what was happening. It turns out the expensive removal and replacement wasn't needed. Michael is an honest mechanic. Sometimes as a woman, you're never 100% sure the auto shop is being fair when it comes to pricey repairs, especially when you're driving a reliable car. I would give them 10-stars if possible! I have had oil changes done here, brakes, water pump, various issues, related to coolant, radiator, hoses, etc. they produce quality work at a fraction of the cost of most dealerships. Most occasions when I drop off my car, I just stay and work in the lobby until it's ready for pick up. It's unfortunate that my car has needed so much work, but I have enjoyed working with their team and I trust their expertise and the quality of business that they do. Based on my experience, Mike and Jose (Junior) truly care about their customers and doing the job right. They always patiently take time to explain what the issues are, and how they can solve them. They are also nice guys. Mike's and Jose's knowledge of foreign and domestic cars is vast and impressive, and they can fix anything. My latest issue was an air conditioning leak. Given how hot it has been lately, I am happy to report that my AC is blowing strong and cold. In addition, ASR's prices are very fair. The Call Center misled me into thinking they were at the store and they are NOT! Your Call Center should be more transparent about this. This is a MAJOR ISSUE. Your Call Center assured me that they "will get me in and out" with brakes, an oil change, and four new tires at 4 pm, and to "come right in", and "I have a 4 pm appt for you". LIES!! I walked into the store and they were slammed.. Simón said that there was no 4 pm appt for me, but he would take good care of me anyways. I raised my voice at him, "I just talked to you!" "You said 'in & out'". He calmly said he did not talk to me, but will take good care of me. I calmed myself. I was so angry. He said he would NEVER make a 4 pm appt for someone who needed brakes, 4 tires, and an oil change, when they close at 5 pm. It all made perfect sense. Simón offered to get my tires and oil change started, but offered to inspect my car to see if I even needed brakes. I agreed. It turned out my back brakes were at 6 mm and my fronts were 4 mm, so I still had time to change them. They squeezed me in even though they had cars they were trying to get out of the shop. EXCELLENT management by these guys to fix the predicament their "Call Center" had suckered me into. Evan's Tire & Service in Lemon Grove is a super place with super employees! They gave me a great price, and I was out of there at 5 pm. You need to fix your Call Center though- these stores are welcoming angry customers like me, because they are being lied to.
