Recently had the "Service Engine Soon" light come on in my 2008 Nissan Versa SL, so I borrowed a friend's code reader and write down the results, which seemed to indicate an O2 Sensor failure. Saw a couple of recommendations from neighbors in the NextDoor app and figured I'd give the shops a call. TNT Services took down the codes and determined that it wasn't an O2 Sensor (a verdict that a call to the other shop corroborated), they were able to rapidly tell me the costs for the parts and labor. I also called the nearby major dealership and they didn't want to have anything to do with my codes and insisted on giving me a rough estimate for work I didn't really need that was also significantly higher that the estimates I'd received from the shops recommended by my neighbors. Pfft, forget that, I'm going for TNT Services! Showed up a few minutes before opening on MLK Day and was greeted by the owner. She remembered me from my phone call a few days earlier and asked if I was leaving the car or waiting. After I told her I'd be waiting she asked me to give them a few hours to get the part and return at 11AM. Upon my return they immediately went to work on my car. I was immediately notified when there was an issue with a sticky part and told that it would take a little longer so that they could properly remove the item without damaging it or my car. (This worked for me because the delightful Legacy Brewing Company is right across the street!) TNT Services completed the work under budget and taking just a little longer than initially assessed (thanks to the sticky part, which they managed to free without damaging it or my car) and I was credited $25 for my Yelp check-in! I'm quite delighted with the level of service that I received at TNT Services. I'm also delighted to report they have a Keurig coffee maker with a variety of different beverages available, Free WiFi, and some magazines in the waiting room. TNT Services will be my go-to shop for car repairs from now on. read more

Two out of five wheel studs broke on my car while in Oceanside. I looked for a reputable service tech shop on Yelp and found TNT, then limped my car over to them. The 5 star reviews are true. They are honest, professional and pretty quick (although generally busy). I had to leave my car overnight because they were fully booked for the day, but early the next day, they called to tell me it was ready. Very fair pricing for outstanding work. My husband has always brought his Toyota truck to TNT and has been very happy with their service;however, there has been a hicup. Scheduled an appointment in advance to bring in my Toyota truck. Drove down from Temecula and arrived at 8:30am, was told we would receive a call after an assessment was done. Now it was only an assessment no work to be completed yet. It's 1pm and still no phone call. Mind you, I live in Temecula and having to deal with traffic. I called into TNT at 1pm and was told the truck was finally going to be seen for a 15 minute assessment. I was not too happy to hear this therefore I drove back to TNT shop to see that my truck was still out in the parking lot. I grabbed my keys and left. I thought that I had submitted a simple question online regarding the cost of installation of a Fog Light assembly on my Infiniti. After waiting three days to reply, I got a request for my VIN to provide an accurate estimate for the labor. After providing it to Ms. Clason, I received another email stating that without seeing the vehicle, she still couldn't give me an accurate estimate and then gave me a quote with a $50 range between lowest and highest cost. Doesn't the VIN specify the EXACT make and model of every car? Enough of this nonsense. I've moved on to another repair shop. read more

The manager there was great! My car broke down on the 5 and I called ahead to see if I can bring my car to get it looked at it. She told me they are completely booked for the day but will try to get me in. Got my car towed there by 10. She told me she could have someone check out the car and tell me what's wrong by noonish. I got a call bad at noon with the issue and she told me it may be able to get fixed today before closing. Thankfully they did fix it and I got my car back the same day. Great shop. I can always rely on the guys here to do the right thing. I hate auto places that try to upssale, or do wrong/extra things to your car, blah blah. I spent $$ trying to fix an annoying sound my tacoma was making at other shops. they wanted to replace this and that or fix this and that. When I tried a few different options including changing belts, etc...I took it here and they found that it was just my oil pan screwed in incorrectly. ...they also adjusted my brakes and all that for 30ish dollars. I am a senior woman with a older Toyota and have been coming to TNT for a few years now for major repairs after a neighbor recommended them. I went somewhere else a couple of days ago for a oil change and they tried to scare me into major tune up saying I had a belt that needed replacing because it was never replaced and was going to brake.. I called Nancy at TNT she said " that is not true" after looking at the records. Anyway, I did take it in for service and I am thrilled with the honesty and the service after paying 1/2 of what the oil change guys (pep boys) quoted me. Her and her staff are very professional. We feel their genuine care for our concerns about our vehicle. When we asked to have something specific inspected they will thoroughly inspect it and provide sound advice whether it needs to be taken care of immediately or there is still reasonable time to hold off on it without forcing us to decide. Happy to give TNT the highest rating! This is THE place to bring your cars for repair. We discovered TNT through a friend's recommendation when I needed an 80k service. Nancy and crew were awesome. Several years ago, I shopped around to compare service (including a list of what is done at an 80K) and pricing and they were BY FAR the most reasonable. The estimate also included an oil change, however, I have a lifetime oil change at my local Midas, so Nancy took the cost of that right off the top of her estimate rather than just having a set 80k price regardless of what is actually needed! She gladly ran through what they would do and, as per all other jobs I've done there, stuck with the original estimate. During my last visit, (for brakes), I asked Nancy to do whatever was needed...basically gave her free reign to do any repairs, etc to keep my Lexus in tip-top shape, and she simply repaired the back brakes and told me that within one year, I would need a few more things done. I have been taking my Lexuses to this shop (after the warranty expires, of course) for at least 10 years. They are honest, prompt, up-front, and have saved me literally thousands of dollars because I have not proceeded with the unnecessary work that Lexus Carlsbad has told me I needed. Also with my '94 Lexus LS400 at around 180,000 miles the onboard computer went out, which I think was going to run me somewhere upwards of $3000 at Lexus, and TNT (back when Terry was there) shopped around and found something in the Bay area that they were able to order and complete the replacement for like $800. They do not recommend unnecessary repairs and they tell you what the consequences will be if you decide not to repair something, as well as what the options are. I love this shop! read more

My family and I were on a road trip back to Phoenix. As we got on the highway we had a check engine light and loss of power. I pulled off the freeway and into a random parking lot. What incredible luck that I pulled into the lot of TNT Services. I walked in and asked if a tech could check the code for me to determine how serious the issue was. Within minutes they had it diagnosed. They even showed me that Honda had a TSB for the issue and told me that if I took it to them, it would be covered 100%. I called the local Honda dealership and couldn't even get a service technician to answer the phone or call me back. In the meantime TNT had ordered the sensor needed just in case. I ended up having TNT do the repair. They had us back up and running for a smooth trip back to Phoenix as quickly as they could. The most important point I want to make is this: they had us between and rock and a hard place. They could have gouged us, as many auto shops would have, BUT TNT DIDN'T. However I was in Oceanside for a while and my car needed some servicing. I found some good reviews of TNT online and thought I'd take a chance, especially as they specialize in Japanese cars. I'm very glad I did. Nancy the owner is as nice as can be and a rarity in the car repair biz - she's as honest as the day is long. She performed some minor services on my car without charge and the things that she did charge me for were done well and reasonably priced. She could have tried to run up the bill with unnecessary services but she did not. I have taken my car in to TNT for service several times since and each time it has been a great experience. Got an oil change on my '09 Toyota Prius. It was super quick and the people here are friendly. I used to go to Purrfect in downtown Oceanside, which is definitely cheaper, but I had to leave my car all day and wait around for someone to help me when I dropped off and picked up. Now that I don't live within walking distance of a shop, I'm more than happy to pay a little more for quick service. They have coffee and goodies in their little waiting room, and wifi, too!
