very high marks for the driver at RoadOne Towing but very low marks for the company in general…read more my sixteen-year-old son Wyatt had borrowed my truck and was headed home after a wrestling tournament. he hit something on the freeway that blew up a front tire and took a hard left turn into the westbound 78 median in San Marcos. he wasn't seriously injured but the Tundra wasn't drivable. the tow truck was already hooking up by the time I get there which was PDQ. fast, friendly, efficient, but here's where things get sketchy: he asks me where I want the truck towed and I tell me as close as he can get to Carlsbad. the Tundra got dropped off at a yard in Escondido and, with a little back-dating, was checked in before midnight. apparently, the yard runs on Hawaiian Standard time. why is that important? because the yard charges storage fees by the day so I got charged for Friday. they're not open on weekends, so I get charged for Saturday and Sunday. Monday's a holiday and they're not open so I get charged for Monday. they don't take credit cards over the phone and I can't get to the yard because it's in effing Escondido and they have my truck so I get charged for Tuesday too. with a lot of help from USAA, the yard got paid and the Tundra towed to a repair place in Carlsbad. total cluster-bang. I doubt the driver got a cut of the money scammed by the yard which is a shame because he did the heavy lifting on a chilly, wet, and generally miserable night. anyway, if you use RoadOne Towing, do a better job of getting control of the situation early and often than I did.

This company employ's criminals and they are willing participants in their illegal activities…read more I got into a car accident with some road debris and caused my vehicle to rollover. by the time I exited my vehicle there was already a tow truck driver there. Some fat cholo who stole my car against my wishes and tried to extort me to have my vehicle dropped. This sorry sack of s***, preyed on the accident scene, managed to get my car loaded up against my wishes and then ransacked my vehicle for any valuables he could get. by the time I got home (3 days to get home since I had no phone cuz it was inside my car and didn't know anyone's number), I immediately admitted to the hospital for my numerous injuries and upon release and returned to San Diego over the 100 miles one way to get my vehicle. The fees were already outrageous at nearly $900. I was allowed to retrieve my property from car, but there was nothing of value left with all my tools gone and even my dvd stereo missing. These guys are as crooked as they come. they are working in-cahoots with San Diego CHP, because i filed a report with CHP and they did zero investigation to help me recover my things or at least try to hold someone responsible for the entire situation. CHP said they contacted the tow company and the response from tow company was "no one had stolen anything from the car." End of investigation. It is truly sad that these crooked officers and predatory towing companies do this to people everyday for no reason and without any consequence. I am asking everyone to never use this business for any towing needs. They are thieves and crooks and need to be shut down for their illegal practices.

I was caught between a rock and a hard place this afternoon. My car started to make a VERY loud…read morerattling noise in the wheel well on the passenger side. Something fairly terrifying at 50 mph. I yanked the car over and stopped and stood confused about what the problem could be. The driver for Delta, his name was Jeff (or Geoff?), was punctual and took my car out of harm's way. The wait wasn't unreasonable (roughly 35-40 minutes). When Jeff lowered my car off the truck he spotted the problem! My brake caliper was out of position! One of my caliper retention bolts was missing! It had fallen off after I probably failed to torque it enough after previously replacing my rotors. It was one heck of a repair! A whopping total of about $2.00 for a new bolt at Hoehn Honda, lol! I fixed it the next day.

Geoff from Delta Towing saved my life this week! I got stuck…read moreon my way home From brunch in Carlsbad and they were quick to respond and send out help. I don't think I waited more than 10 minutes before Geoff had arrived. And since I was stuck on the side of the road, with cars zooming past me, I was relieved to see their truck pull up. Geoff was extremely polite, and understanding all while quickly getting my car hooked up and towed to a nearby mechanic. Being a young woman in the Carlsbad/Oceanside area makes me skeptical of any male coming to "help" but again, Geoff was so polite and helped put me at ease. He did his job, and moved on, which is the most important to me! Hopefully i won't have to use their services again anytime soon, but I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs roadside help!!
