I was so incredibly disappointed in how they handled my car and my situation. I was the one that suggested to my insurance to use them and I regret that decision. First, they took an extra month to fix the car. Never their fault, always the parts coming in late or backordered. My insurance was paying for it yet the person I was in the process of buying it from, stole it from me and never transferred the title to my name. This could have easily been resolved by having us both come at the same time. Instead, they then treated me like a criminal and now my car has been sold to a dealership and I'm out $26,000!!! They were incredibly rude to me and I don't think they care about anyone that owns a car they are working on, they just want their money. I'll never use them again even though I sent them many clients in the past that were friends of mine. Unbelievably disappointed. I don't recommend. read more

The work on my car looks fine. I am disappointed that I was not informed to bring cash or pay a 3.50% surcharge. My car was there for ten days and a reminder would have been great. I paid over $60 for the surcharge. They do not have a cash machine on site so your stuck. Bring cash! read more

This is a primo place to get all your bodywork done on your auto that is. But you never know they may be able to service your physical body as well...at least the mechanics expressed an interest. Never mind. They just do great work and the owner (I forget his name) will hook you up with your insurance co. They also guarantee their work for the life of the car. I stopped by World Auto Body this afternoon after reviewing places on YELP. I wanted to see how much it was going to set me back to repair a dent that was left for me when I returned to my car in the parking lot from shopping last week. Nice, huh? I walked in and was immediately greeted by Mike Shamshoum, who walked with me out to my car to take a look. He started to work on the fender and was able to pop out most of the dent immediately. He then said he would be right back with a screw driver. He spent about 10 minutes re-attaching my fender with only a small indentation left. I was SO thankful for the immediate service and fix, then asked how much I could pay him. He declined any payment and just asked to remember him if/when I ever need a repair on my car. I chose World Auto body as an ex Enterprise-Rent-A-Car employee who had helped a lot of their clients and always heard good reviews. It was really easy and quick to set up my inspection. It was really easy to drop off and they can get you picked up for rental and even have a shop price if you don't have rental on your policy I worked with Joel who updated me appropriately throughout. When it was ready for pick up (which was fast considering my damage), I got a call and it was ready to go, washed and pretty like new. I was really impressed. They even buffed out my old headlight to match the new replaced one. 5 stars, you hope you don't need these things, but it's great to know there are excellent ones out there. Went in to have a bumper cover painted and was very much pleased by not only the turnaround time, price and job but it was the customer service that won me over. As I walked into the office it was pretty busy, I was there for an estimate as I had already been doing some research around town prior. I didn't catch the girls name but she must be a manager there, I was greeted and asked to come back the next day for an estimate because of how busy they were at the time(in my head I was like umm.. I ain't coming back I need to get this done today). Then the manager made an exception and appointed me to Mrs. Abigail Z. Who was very helpful, polite, and very easy to speak to. She had quoted me a very reasonable price better than any other body shop in town and so I went ahead and said ok let's get it done. 2 days was promised and in 2 days it was completed. I was rearended last month with in new car, I was disappointed and injured. I was so impressed with the professionalism and how helpful Cesar was in helping me. He got the job done faster than he quoted me and went beyond what I was expecting. Enterprise was a hot mess and tried to overcharge me and gave me a car that was not comparable to mine, Cesar called them and handled it without hesitation. We backed into something and damaged the bumper on our Volvo. We were quoted $900 by another body shop. When we got to World Auto body we were met immediately and the damaged was accessed right then and there. We were told he could try to pull out the bumper and see if it popped back into place. And that is what he did! He then got some rubbing compound and cleaned the marks off completely! We were in awe and so grateful. As I saw he wasn't going to charge us I went to hand him a tip for his time. That's when he told us that he was the owner and refused the tip. The nicest experience we could've imagined. When pushed on this they hid behind an insurance claim, thinking the claim was asking for the part to be replaced because of some small scratches (the total, unnecessary, repair amount was below the deductible). The lobby is really no frills, but don't let that be the least bit discouraging. The service was fantastic, they did a great job, on budget, and on time. Friendly service representatives, poor quality repairs which end up being a rip-off. I'm a fan of any place that has good customer service, but they still need to deliver when it comes to what is paid for. I had a front bumper that needed replacing due to someone backing into my car, which was covered by insurance. I took my vehicle to world auto body because it was in my area and one of the approved repair shops. The repair was simple enough, but once I got the car back the turn signal lights for the front no longer worked and they claimed the wires/hookup weren't there in the first place. However, I know for a fact the front signals worked worked and the indicator wasn't as fast...they screwed up the repair. I needed to have the car in good enough shape so I could re-attach the front license plate AND have turn signals so it could pass a vehicle inspection, world auto body let me down in a big way and it's going to cost me more money to fix their lazy and dishonest work. read more

What can I say? I could not be happier with this business and Mike. I had an unfortunate accident with my 71 Bronco where a mechanic drove it into a work bay. World Auto Body was recommended but I was apprehensive to take a classic car to a place I knew little about. After picking my Bronco up I can honestly say it came back better than it was prior to the accident. Mike and his staff were absolutely meticulous with their work. The customer service was beyond professional. I am extremely protective of my ride and I would not trust anyone else. I just recently came for some touch up and Mike took it in no questions asked. I was referred to World Auto Body by my insurance Co Wawanesa for a repair on my daughter's 2006 Toyota Tacoma. I was impressed by how quickly they turned around the repair and we had the truck back in 3 days! Wow...I had several other body repairs done by other auto body shops that took weeks. But wait, there were 2 issues we needed to get rectified. 1. The license plate lights needed to be rehooked up after the repair. 2. The side view mirror that was replaced did not match the other mirror and had a major scratch on it. I notified my rep at World and we took the truck in to be looked at to see what needed to be done. No response as to getting it taken care of. So I called and schedule to be looked at again (this was a pain because I don't drive the truck) . The rep that helped me was Jim Webb, he was awesome! Jim got a mirror that matched the other side and even went the extra mile to have any scratches buffed out (the insurance quote was for a used mirror which I'm ok with) to make sure it looked good. I went in on a Monday am and within 1/2 hour had everything done! The most impressive thing was that the owner of World, Steven Lee, personally called me this morning to make sure that I had been taken care of to my satisfaction. I was truly, truly impressed by his call first of all, and second his personal commitment to customer service and satisfaction. read more

They're a reliable shop. A rat died in my car and I took it to a different mechanic but my insurance made me come here for the repair. They started work on Monday and were done by Friday (had to take apart the dashboard). Throughout the process they would call but it was infrequent. I originally came in a few months ago to get my bumper replaced and got quotes from 3 different places nearby. World was the cheapest and got me in the next day when other shops were 1-2 weeks out and almost double the price. They did a great job! I then moved out of the area, but came back by today to get an estimate on my rear quarter panel (someone scraped me with their bumper and broke the weld causing the panel to shake). Not only were they able to fix it right away and explain the different options I had...they did it for basically nothing! 20min and done! The other shop I went to previously took 20min to even look at my vehicle. AMAZING auto shop. Great customer service from all employees. Super convenient location too. Literally a 3 minute walk to shops and cafes, if you decide to hang around while your car is getting fixed. Came in to replace a broken window, which only took about 45 minutes or so. Mike, the general manager, took it upon himself to take a look at the dashboard lights. So thankful for it because I didn't know my airbag was disabled. Was a great experience overall. I had just got a new car, but when I took delivery from the dealer I noticed some blems in the paint of one fender, and a small dent in the hood. As the car was new, I deemed this unacceptable, and the dealer agreed. They had me take the car to Riley Wilder, the Manager at World Auto Body in Encinitas. Long story short, Riley's people took care of everything - even a small glitch was handled in a first class manner. When I went to pick up my car, Riley and I noticed the dent on the hood was repaired well but not perfectly. He jumped right on it to get it fixed flawlessly - and he got me a rental car for my trouble! The car was ready the next afternoon, and everything was stellar - the paint was a perfect match, and you could not tell that any work had been done to the car at all... it was as good as new. Bottom line: I would recommend Riley and World Auto Body to anybody! read more

World Auto body is one of those businesses you hope you'll never need. But accidents happen and that's what brought me to their establishment. And I have to say I'm so happy to have ended up there! Mike took great care of my brand new Camry that some joker had hit and run (no note...guess the good old days are gone when people did the "right thing?"). He took care of the repairs and had the car done in just 3 days! Considering parts replacements and painting I thought that was really fast. Also when I came to pick up my car it was all washed and detailed and looked brand new again. And yes, the price was right.....very very reasonable! I feel like some business get the idea that good customer service will pay dividends down the road. World Auto Body is a great example of that philosophy, and I'll tell all my friends to go there. So...for one of those businesses you hope you'll never need...but at some point we all do...I can't recommend them more highly! read more

Brought my car here after an accident because of the great reviews they had. Unfortunately this was not my experience. I got stuck with Abigail who was always rude and seemed annoyed when I'd call for follow-ups/updates on my car. She even yelled at me when I said I wouldn't pay for something that was supposed to be covered by the insurance company. Eventually got my car back with parts that don't fit and when I called to inform them they said I had to take it up with the insurance company when it was this establishments incompetent workers who put these parts on my car. Months later my car is still not fixed and both the insurance company and this business refuse to help. Definitely do not recommend this location. Literally can't express enough how amazing this place is. Well trained in customer service and grade "A" quality in there work. Had a small fender bender accident on a friends car that I caused. My initial thought was to immediately go to World Auto Body since I've used them before on previous incidents but got a quote from a different company recommended by a family member but was so over priced and over charged for something so small. I took it by World Auto Body and Mike and his team took care of me at such a reasonable price. No hassle no BS just flat out honest business and in times like this that's a lot to offer. I was very disappointed when I picked my car up to get home and find that there was some kind of gunk on the drivers seat, all the loose change (like $10 worth) had been removed from the ashtray where I keep it, and even full water bottles had been taken out of the side pockets. I went back to World Auto Body and complained, got to wait for another half hour while they removed the stuff from the drivers seat, and 'refunded' me $5 to offset the missing change. Not exactly making me feel whole. I will be avoiding them if I need future body work. read more
