My dear friends know that I'm absolutely addicted to chai lattes, so they suggested we stop here…read morefor breakfast together! I'm glad I was with them, since the location is tucked away up the stairs and would be easy to miss if you are passing by. However, inside was very airy and spacious with many cozy options for seating. I ordered my chai with oat milk and a cinnamon roll from the friendly cashier. She asked if I wanted to warm my roll, and I agreed with the suggestion. Once we had our order, we headed to the couch to enjoy our brunch. The chai was delicious and had a nice peppery kick. It even came with a little cookie! I also really enjoyed the cinnamon roll, which was especially packed with spiced goodness at the warm center. I loved that everyone from studying students to large families could enjoy the indoor and outdoor space. Even with a fairly steady flow of customers, we were able to relax in the sunny couch area without feeling rushed. I would definitely return here for another chai and some breakfast in the future!

I did not try the food so can't comment on it.

Once opening the door, you just head to the right side to the grill. Since we visited on a weekday and fairly early, before the lunch rush, it was not crowded at all so we got to sit underneath the neat mason jar chandelier with a prime view of the driving range. I was super excited to try the ube waffles since I'm a fan of most ube flavored things. My husband got the more traditional silog bowl which I ended up liking more since I'm actually not big on breakfast food. The spam fries had a cute presentation with the canister but were extremely salty. Water and condiments were self serve. I noticed there were booster seats and high chairs in the corner so you could bring the kiddos. Restrooms were also off to the side and had cute birdie themed decorations courtesy of the Herndon Ladies Golf League.

You can enter from the building lobby entrance - or they have their own direct entrance at the back corner of the building. I ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich and a large cold brew. The cold brew was really good. However, the breakfast sandwich was very disappointing. I requested extra bacon and extra cheese on it. What I was served was a sandwich with the slices of cheese cut extra thick, bacon of the extreme paper thin variety, and the Croissant itself was stale. If there was extra bacon on it - I sure could not tell - and because of the way the cheese was sliced and the way that the sandwich was made (it appears he is using a Panini press), the cheese was totally unmelted. Very unsatisfying. The owner came over to ask me how it was - when I shared my thoughts on the sandwich - as he rang me out - he told me he was not charging me for bacon. There is tons of seating here as well as free WiFi. Good place to hang out and work. Service was good. #CapitalCoffeeCafe
