I highly recommend either the Spinach Walnut Apple Salad or the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. If you're extra hungry buy one of their bowls like Teriyaki Chicken, Italian Meatball, or Chicken Burrito (pictured below); they cost less than $10 with tax and you may have enough left over for dinner! If you don't see what you want ask if they can make it - the staff members are always nice and try to accommodate special requests (my favorite is their mouth watering Jalapeno Chicken). They also have cold drinks and serve breakfast, and once restrictions are lifted they will hopefully resume their fantastic prepared food bar and dine-in seating. Order in person or ahead by email, text, or phone. They are tucked into a corner of the first floor of an office building off Sunrise Valley Drive - there's no external signage, but there are some short-term parking spaces near the entrance. There are no signs outside of the office building for Fair Lakes Deli - and contrary to what one of the previous reviewers posted - Fair Lakes Deli IS NOT located in a residential luxury apartment building. Upon entering the lobby - there is a hallway on the left hand side with a sign pointing down the hall to "Fair Lakes Deli." I love coming across these small food operations hidden in office buildings - most of them are solid, if not pretty good places to eat. I arrived well after the morning breakfast rush (around 10:30 am-ish), so there were no customers present when I arrived. I ordered the meat version of the Breakfast Burrito - you choose a meat to go into the Buritto (bacon, ham, or sausage). The Burrito also had eggs, breakfast potatoes, onions, bell peppers, cheese and more in it. I requested both bacon and sausage - they were happy to accommodate my request. Plus a bottle of water. The frickin' Breakfast Burrito was huge! I could not eat the entire thing in one sitting - so I got the other half to go. While I was sitting there eating - one of the ladies working behind the counter came out and presented me with a complimentary sample of some sort of Korean pancake. I accepted it - it was unlike any American-style breakfast food - it was very savory (see attached photo). Very tasty! There are a ton of menu options here for both breakfast and lunch - all sorts of salads, homemade soups, sub, sandwiches, and more. There are 4 tables inside the Deli proper to eat at - and across the hallway from the entrance to the Deli is a rather large overflow area with all sorts of seating options. Food was good! You can enter from the building lobby entrance - or they have their own direct entrance at the back corner of the building. I ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich and a large cold brew. The cold brew was really good. However, the breakfast sandwich was very disappointing. I requested extra bacon and extra cheese on it. What I was served was a sandwich with the slices of cheese cut extra thick, bacon of the extreme paper thin variety, and the Croissant itself was stale. If there was extra bacon on it - I sure could not tell - and because of the way the cheese was sliced and the way that the sandwich was made (it appears he is using a Panini press), the cheese was totally unmelted. Very unsatisfying. The owner came over to ask me how it was - when I shared my thoughts on the sandwich - as he rang me out - he told me he was not charging me for bacon. Large variety of sandwiches, wraps and their speciality burger that changes through the month. We got the Fried Chicken wrap and the Cheesesteak sandwich. Both were delicious and made to order. I will come back to try their burger and other sandwiches ... and coffee. They carry a lot of IPA's. More than I can list. Many places to sit but I am sure they fill up during breakfast, lunch and dinner hours. I highly recommend this place for coffee, sandwiches and IPA variety.
