First, we had the best service and they accommodated our speed and style of dining. Tried multiple dishes and desserts. Spicy eggplant stir fried with veggies was delicious and medium spicy was not very spicy. Tom Yum fried rice with shrimp was very seasoned with the right amount of spicy. Pad Thai with beef had the best noodles, perfectly chewy. Slightly on the sweet side, but very addictive. Good portions Papaya salad was very fresh and tasty. Inside was crowded for lunch, but the patio was empty. Patio was lovely today, beautiful weather. Mango with sticky rice and coconut custard was one of the best desserts we had in a long time. Definitely getting this again. The Thai Coffee with crème brûlée was smooth and creamy, very satisfying. This Thai spot has become our go-to after monthly spa days. We've been twice, and it's been amazing every time. The mango sticky rice smoothie is a must--seriously, the best! My friend and I both had two of those cold, refreshing smoothies during our first visit! Definitely try their other drinks too--the matcha crème brûlée is incredible. BLUF: During low traffic dinner time, service was attentive, polite, effective. Presentation of food is pleasing, but hit or miss as far as taste -- not in a bad way, just a bland way for some items. Portions are ok. Prices in these awful economic times, are ok, too. So, all of the food we ordered was tasty and we cleaned our plates (and bowls). Just not all of it made the tastebuds dance. Of everything we ordered, I'd have to say the frozen drinks were good but the desserts were a bit disappointing. They're rather expensive for what you get. Still, Ocha can be a decent go-to if you have a hankering for Thai food. Parking is easy & generally plenty most days. It's not a big location and a little squishy, so takeout is advised, especially if you have a big party and/or kiddos. I love Thai food and mango sticky rice is one of my favorite desserts. When I saw that this restaurant has a mango sticky rice smoothie I could not stop thinking about it so I made the drive. When I tell you this smoothie was everything and more! Very delicious and I highly recommend it if you enjoy mango sticky rice. If the price was $18.95 or more, I would have expected a larger portion. Having the price at $13.95 makes it possible for Negative Nancy to have an appetizer too! Our food was very delicious!! My friend had the Ginger Stir Fry with Jasmine rice and I had the Green Curry Fried Rice medium spiced. My only complaint was that my rice was a little overcooked. I couldn't wait to try the Mango Sticky Rice Smoothy! It was absolutely divine! I was going to wait to have it for desert but decided to sip on it while eating my spicy fried rice. My husband and I were regulars here. We came at least 3-4x a month. But nothing turns me off to an establishment faster than unreasonable customer service. Mind you, we have several Thai places that are closer to us but we always make the conscious choice to drive 30 minutes to make it here bc we genuinely liked the food, dessert and drink options. I got veg curry puffs and green curry with waffle shaped roti for my main (though these two items are apps) and I have to say it was indeed large enough and filling enough of a portion to pass as a main. The roti waffle idea was absolutely a genius way to level up an already amazing dish and I have to give props to just how much roti was provided because I always find I end up with too little roti to eat with my curry but that wasn't the case here. I loved the flaky butteriness of the curry puffs and the amazing sweet but tart sauce they came with. Got an ube basque cheesecake for dessert and the mango sticky rice smoothie. It took me ages to decide what drink I wanted because they had way too many incredible options. Service was great, very kind people and super attentive. The order was prepared in twenty minutes, as promised online. The spring rolls lacked any interesting flavor, and the dumplings were disappointingly bland. FOOD We ordered their mango sticky rice sundae, something we saw promoted on Instagram, and decided to come try. The dessert had a nice mix of ice cream, whipped cream, the mango and coconut drizzles, sticky rice, and waffle base. The sticky rice was surprisingly a little salty, but it was a nice contrast to the sweetness of the overall dessert. The ice cream was creamy, the waffle base crispy despite the being layered at the bottom, and the drizzles complemented the dish well. They offer a variety of savory Thai dishes, but since we only visited to try their desserts, it'll have to be for another time. DRINKS We ordered their tiramisu dessert drink. It was layered with ladyfingers at the bottom, light mascarpone, a coffee frappe, then topped with whipped cream and another ladyfinger. It was a nice sweet treat shared with family. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. AMBIANCE The interior is very aesthetic and offers a lot of sunlight into the store. The plants and wall decor also add a nice touch to the vibrancy inside. It's a great place to catch up with friends and share plates/desserts.
