    Sautéed mushroom and onion omelet
    Connie L.

I've been here a few times while working at a client in the building, either for lunch or early in the morning when the client's office suite wasn't open yet. I'm not sure when the deli itself officially opens, but in my experience the building's doors open to the public at 7 AM and the deli has been open when I've gone in shortly after 7. They have a pretty wide variety of menu items, including paninis, wraps, sandwiches, etc. They also have a pretty huge selection of candies and snacks, and even some aspirin up front. The breakfast menu includes sandwiches, pancakes, and omelets. I've had the omelet twice and it's been delicious and hot (they make it to order), but a bit expensive in my opinion--although this may be because it's supposed to come with potatoes and toast and I always get it without those. Service is usually pretty quick if it's not too busy, but it does get super busy during the lunch rush hour, and I have even seen some short lines around 8:30. The staff I've encountered have been friendly and polite. There's plenty of seating and the seating area is surprisingly nice, with tables, hightops, and comfy seats in the middle. There are 2 TVs that play C-SPAN in the morning. The coffee of the day is self serve and nothing too remarkable. The free wifi is pretty reliable, even with VPN. The deli is located on the Terrace level; I used the stairs adjacent to suite 130 to get down from the 1st floor. Overall, a pretty good place to hang out in the morning if you're in the building, and a decent place for lunch.

    Dining area.

They won't serve breakfast after 10:30. Lost my business. Place was empty and rather than fry me an egg, or two they sent me away.

A really nice little go-to for lunch. Fantastic veggie options like a veg burger and delicious grilled cheese with tomato.

In part, that was us not quite able to figure out exactly where it was. Grant Street, it turns out, is disjointed. In other words, it's not like it's just a straight shot from one end to the other. We stopped in here on a Saturday around 4 p.m. The place closes at 6 p.m., and are closed on Sunday. At that time of day, they weren't at all busy. The young man at the counter took our orders, and someone working in the back made the sandwiches. We just ordered savory items, so we can't speak to how the sweet items are (although some of them sounded so good). I ordered the salmon sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with dill cream cheese, filled with smoked Atlantic salmon, spring mix, cucumber, and red onion." The bread choices are everything bagel, jalapeno, and cheesy. I chose the everything bagel and asked for no onion. I found this sandwich to be tasty, but I thought they could have gone lighter with the dill cream cheese. The bread had a nice crispness. My husband ordered the ham and Swiss sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with paprika mayo and filled with black forest ham, Swiss cheese, fresh romaine hearts, spring mix, sweet pepper, tomato, cucumber, and red onion". He wasn't happy with the paprika mayo, as he says mustard would have worked better. Nor did he care for the sweet peppers. Now he knows not to order the default setting for this sandwich but instead to customize the toppings. They work with DoorDash, which, when ordering online, gives the option to customize one's order. There are high tables, the type that are found in bars, for those who want to eat their sandwiches there. The place is kept very clean.

Made Porchetta sandwiches for lunch and can't even explain how delicious the meat was. It was slices then and had great flavor. Oliver's has quite a selection of deli meats and cheese as well as high quality steaks, chops and sausages. The seafood looked very fresh as well. They had some really good looking Mahi Mahi filets that I am kicking myself for not getting, but in talking with the two guys behind the counter, it was just brought in that morning. Instead we got local chicken breast, which at about $7 per lb. Is pretty good for local chicken. Our CSA previously charged $10.99 a lb. And some pork chops to throw on the grill - they were nice thick cuts too! Their different beef cuts looked good and the one guy was talking about bringing in some A5 in the future (admittedly this was a conversation I was eaves dropping on so I don't have details -- but... something to look forward to???) They also have different prepared foods - apparently their shepherd pies were very popular this past week and sold out and they have shaved ribeye that we would have liked for cheesesteaks (alas! Also sold out) It was a Sunday so I am sure they were winding down inventory for the week, but if they are selling out - it must be good, right!?! Bottom line: knowledgeable and helpful staff & good, quality selection - wish they were closer to us, but we will be back anyway!
